Yeah, it seems pretty interesting. I admit that Barton Town terrifies me to no end (primarily due to the speed of posting, inability to easily use multiple threads for different locations/faction in larger roleplays, and low literacy on average), but I'll probably make a character sheet.

A big part of me wants to see if he wants to migrate it over here, so he can have less issues with illiterate idiots.

Yeah, and it's not like it would hurt it any, since he can probably have a whole subforum. Plus, it would liven the RPR up a little.

Well, so far he denied it . . . but I find myself wanting to play two different characters in it.
A Magneto-style zealot with power over shadows and darkness who truly believes in the superiority of Recombinants
and
A mercenary character that has his own agenda, and will go wherever the money happens to be (reviving an old character named Octave with sound powers)

That's too bad.
My character is going to have an interesting spin on illusion powers.

Well, obtenebration mixed with sonic manipulation can be of some interesting cominations with illusions . . .
Why would it be unfortunate? neutral

Most certainly... Scry (my character's alias) is in Pariah and is Chaotic Evil, so maybe one of your characters will run into him sometime.
What was unfortunate was that he didn't want to bring it to the RPR.

I find myself procrastinating as well. With moving (hence the internet problems) and starting my career, I haven't had much time the past week. Well, cutting down on my anime time would give me some more time as well. sweatdrop

I am both winding down my current class, and preparing to disappear to AZ for a week . . . so my time is somewhat limited as well.
Still, I have fun imagining Wraith with essentially green lantern powers using darkness.

Travelling to AZ for personal or vocational/educational reasons?
That would be awesome! I'm still nailing down the specific limitations and startegies inherent to Scry's ability.

I am going for school reasons. I have to put in some face time, and a week worth of labs/seminars to prove I am good for the profession. This is a requirement of my Master's, unfortunately.
As for Wraith, I imagine him as limited by distance (can't go too far) and by complexity (able to make blades and bludgening weapons, but not machines with parts other than the shape for show). I have considered him wearing a black garment at all times like a coat or shirt that is actually shadow . . . or perhaps him having a dark 'bodyguard' that is actually a blackness construct that is holding onto a mask and wearing a coat. cool

I see. I've had a few professor who had to do that for their advanced degrees.
Sounds neat. It's always so important for Green Lantern characters to have limits, because otherwise you end up w/ Batman w/ the Green Lantern ring (if you've seen that image).
Scry can, within a certain radius, make all sights and sounds he produces be from another location. Thus, Scry is invisible, but he looks and sounds like he is somewhere else. He does have the ability to control the rotation of this fake, since this hologram/ventriloquism is just a projection of what he is doing. This audiovisual clone does relay back audiovisual information it is taking in, so he can see and hear from 2 locations at once. Unfortunately, having to process double the input is very taxing mentally.

I love that image. I have it with my other demotivational imagery.
Scry sounds like a serious displacer beast . . . nice. Wraith I imagine as having Magneto's level of power but over darkness. He can't make anything other than darker, and if he cannot see it, he cannot manipulate shadows there.
