If non-Marine players need more of a reason to bemoan the Marine twinking, here's a hot-off-the-press unverified rumor.Bell of Lost Souls First off, Marneus Calgar is described as awesome; the Abaddon of loyalists. Not simply because he's an outstanding fighter but because of the support he provides for his army. He gives all Ultramarines the ability to pass or fail any Leadership test (other reports say morale checks). This is a superior ability to Combat Tactics as that only works in CC and the marines can normally only choose to fail. Marneus also has a rule called "God of War" which allows him to re-roll virtually anything (shooting to hit rolls, attacks rolls in assualt, to wound rolls). It is basically the psychic power Warp Time, but is always on and works with Marneus' shooting. His storm bolter built into the Gauntlets of Ultramar is AP2. Marneus had 4 base attacks on his statline and is armed with two powerfists. ~you do the math Calgar possesses Eternal Warrior without any mention of a mantle. Power armour is apparently no longer an option for him, but his "Honour Guard" are still in power armor. Finally, he's wearing his Terminator armour with an additional 4+ invulnerable save.

Well, that settles it. I may have to begin playing a "recently renegade" force and gank out a Calgar clone.

I think it's been the time of the Ultramarines since the late nineties. They could have picked one with a live Primarch, at least. Roboute Guilliman is cold lampin' it in a Stasis Pod, and that's just cramping the Ultramarines style.

So...the time of the Dark Angels has come? The only "living" Primarchs are Roboute Guilliman, Jaghaitai Khan, Lion El'Jonson, Corax, and Leman Russ. Guilliman is in stasis, El'Jonson is locked away in the Dark Angels Fortress Monastary, Khan is lost in the webway. Corax and Leman Russ both disappeared into the Eye of Terror.

You forgot about Rogal Dorn (Who's MIA), pre-Dan Abbet Ferrus Manus (Who was MIA until it was stated he was killed, and Vulkan (Who is also MIA). Infact, with the exception of Sanguinius every Primarch could theoretically be alive. Of course, they're all turned into introverted little babies like El'Jonson who is BAWWing inside The Rock. Speak of which, why don't they just use melta-cutters to try and reach him?

Hm...you have a point. Except: Dorn is listed as Killed onboard of a Chaos ship. His body is in stasis. I suppose that it could be said that he's alive, but whatevs.
For El'Jonson, I'm not sure. He's listed on Lexicanum as being "asleep," though I'm not up to date with their fluff.

I heard that he was in the Adeptus Custodes, secretly heading it. He only lost his hand in said incident.

Ah. Well, I'm not going to take his position with the Custodes seriously unless I see a more definite source.
-=Something to Ponder=- If/When the Void Dragon wakes up, the Space Marines are going to become giant puppets.

-=Something to Ponder=- If/When the Void Dragon wakes up, the Space Marines are going to become giant puppets. It depends if you're talking about their implants or just the armor. The Space Marines armor only has a power generator and some low-grade systems so I'm not sure it would classify as being puppeted. Stuff like a Eldar Warp Spider or Tau Crisis Suits seem to be more likely candidates. Hell, the Dreadnought burns some sort of fuel to move, and though the users body is hooked up to the thing, the rest of the systems are still pretty low tech for the 41st millennium.
