"I think two tops, maybe three. Anymore and we'd both go nuts." Van said.
((Time for class. XP))

Mala grinned broadly back at Van, this topic lighting up her mood already. "Sounds good. How about magic and fighting? Should we train them in that case of emergency or no?"

((FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU--!!! I thought class started a half hour later than it did. I came back here thinking I missed an email or something that the teacher couldn't make it. By the time I get back over there, there will only be fifteen minutes left. *XTREME HEAD/DESKING*))
"Probably. They will be half god so they'll be bound to have some power to begin with. We'll have to at least teach them to keep it under control." Van said with a growing smile at the thought of such father/child bonding.

Alek met Riley halfway, and murmured, "Hello, Riley." He was wiping blood from his mouth onto his sleeve.

"You've made me paranoid. Thanks a lot." Riley said simply. He didn't know what to say. Alek's company just seemed better at the moment as opposed to the always cheerful pair of girls.

Mala nodded in agreement. "I'll teach them the spells I know, if that helps any."

"Hopefully the kids make better healers than you." Van teased with a grin.
"That I'm going to start thinking of other humans as nothing but food to me, even my sister and Van..." Riley admitted, leaning against a tree and sliding down until he sat on the ground.

"I should hope so! My healing hands do more harm than healing!" Mala said with a chuckle.

"That's how you know you won't think of them like that," he said simply. "If you're worried about it, it won't happen. It's not something you have to think about constantly, keep telling yourself; if you remember the way you feel when you think about thinking about people that way, you won't think of them that way."

"You've got your thing with feeding on humans, you could have mentioned the possible guilt trip." Riley said, a half-hearted attempt at something resembling a joke.
"Sorry marrying a god doesn't mean automatic goddess status. That'd fix your healing and immortality problems in one go."

"It's fine, I understand." Mala said with a small shrug. "I'm happy either way. I do want to find a way to solve the mortality problem, but other than that, I'm just fine with keeping human status.

"I know. I just somehow picture you as one that would enjoy the endless possibilities of godhood. Like increased fertility." Van said. "Seriously, I fixed that problem months ago. I'm inclined to believe this is Atius' way of spiting us before."

"Maybe. Or maybe it's an odd chance of luck so we can actually get adventuring out of the way and settle down before we start...well..making babies." Mala said with a slightly hopeful tone and a shrug.

"I hope so. Hard to be parents without a kid." Van said before suddenly pulling her against him, after which he leaned over her shoulder and shouted at her stomach. "So start making babies, woman!" he said with a grin.
