I like all the little touches of realism that they put into the Minotaur, though. Mostly in the extended crew compartment/counterweight and the fact that the rear tracks go up to that angle co compensate against a huge kickback.
I can't wait to see the rules on it. I'm gonna guess that it'll fire as Linked or as an Ordinance 2 weapon. Either way is handy.

The Minotaur reminds me of the Archer tank.

Lt. Brookman The Minotaur reminds me of the Archer tank.
I can definitely see the similarity. Question is...With it using the body of the Malcador backwards, is its front armor going to be as low as the Malcador rear armor?

I think the armour is either downscaled and upped to AV 12 all round or FW is using odd logic. This is an open-topped support vehicle after all.

Very true, I'm just wondering if people are going to have to drive it backward if it comes under heavy fire.
Looking at the model again, though, it doesn't look to nave near the strength of armor that the Malcador has. AV 12-12-12 seems likely.

If it is like the Archer then it will drive "backwards", though in all honesty the guns are merely mounted facing to the rear.

Does the fact of wether it can drive backwards or not really matter when you can turn in place at no movement cost?

It does matter for the sake of fluff and the source material.

i hate when the codex makes the unit seem better than it is... catachan elites are awsome but to small to do much but wittle there thumbs and fall in to replace losses to firing, they really are only good in jungle/forests (like all catachan's) and in city fights mad

True, but now there's the fact that Scouts can Outflank. Sentinels are all Scouts, therefore he could have Outflanking units with Heavy Flamers and Multilasers.

Heh. I love sentinels. They were always useful, now they're even moreso. I often use them against orks and 'nids, and I have one with an autocannon for hunting those blasted eldar vehicles, but now I have even more reason to take them. They're my standard choice for filling up my fast attack slots, SOMETIMES I'll take a hellhound, if I'm facing a lot of large numbers of enemies with cover that's hard to get close to. Eldar, in particular. Conceal used to terrorize me, now I just bring a hellhound.
Anyway, yeah. I love some of the little things that work in my favor now. twisted
