Tony shook his head. “Magneto? The mutant that Charles fights against? They were best friends once. They still are friends on some level. And then they began to disagree on how to handle the mutant situation. One day, he accidentally hurt Charles in his fight against humans.” Tony explained slowly. Charles was a young man at that time. So he has spent more time in the wheelchair than out, but no, he wasn’t always like that.” Loki's mention of Reed had Tony sighing. “He is a decent enough guy. I’ve never said otherwise. He just makes really bad decisions and refuses to back out of them or admit his mistakes.”

Loki frowned when Tony stated that Magneto had been involved in Charles losing the use of his legs. Hearing that they were best friends once caused even more surprise but he could see how different views would put the two at odd ends. It made more sense hearing that Charles had accidentally been hurt by the man. It hadn't been on purpose then and that made the god feel better in fact he was willing to bet that Magneto felt some guilt from the events. "The same could be said for you my love, it depends on whose opinion you ask." Loki chided giving a soft comforting smile.

Tony looked up at Loki, making a face. “My personal opinions and such people could say that about, yes. But not my science, not anymore. I’ve made sure my science, my inventions, all have been for the benefit of the world since Afghanistan. I’ve been careful, I’ve had to be. I spent so much of my life in the wrong, hurting people. Reed hasn’t done that. He doesn’t know what that feels like. He thinks everything he makes is gold and simply because it comes from his hands, the negative side effects and possibilities won’t happen.” Tony responded. Realizing that he was getting worked up again, he let out a breath and pressed his lips to what collarbone Loki’s shirt revealed. “He’s brilliant though, they all are. If he could get his head out of his a**, he could do far more than I ever could hope to. If Bruce would stop worrying about everything and embrace Hulk, he could revolutionize medicine. If Charles actually had an interest in inventing and creating instead of theorizing, I couldn’t even imagine what he could accomplish.”

Loki sent comfort through the bond as Tony protested that only his opinions could be said to be wrong but not his science. "I am not saying that people are right Tony I am just saying that people can and will claim it." Loki said softly. He knew his mate was careful about hurting people. Listening as the man said that Reed hadn't experienced anything like he had and the man thought that everything he did was gold. "I am sure at some point he will realize such things just like you did love but you must be patient." Loki soothed as Tony's lips pressed to his collarbone. He supressed a shiver of pleasure and listened as the man continued about how each man he had spoken to already besides Johnny could be greater than they were if they changed things. "Remember my love I am looking in to helping Bruce but I do not know that we can help Reed or Charles. Unless something drastic happens I think that is the way they will remain. I only think that Reed will realize his faults at some point."

Tony just relaxed more against his lover, letting the god support him for a moment. “I know…..I know that you’re trying to help. And I can’t thank you enough for that. As far as the other two, you’re probably right. They won’t change. Charles doesn’t really need to, and Reed…..I’m just scared he’ll realize too late.” He mumbled, breath fanning out over Loki’s skin as he spoke, nose still tucked against his neck. Pulling away after a moment, he smiled at Loki. “How the hell do you put up with me?” he asked slowly. “I’m halfway to crazy, and I’m already turning into a grumpy old man, yet you never seem to care.”

Loki held the man as Tony relaxed against him. "There is no need to thank me for that love, Bruce is my friend and I will help him however I can." Loki murmured softly. Bruce was helping him in many ways and if Loki could help him in just one way he would feel better and there was no better way to help than to do what Bruce wished for most. "Unfortunately I do no not think this is something you can help Reed with this, the most you can do my love is help him as best you can when he asks you for it." Loki continued. "Quite easily, my love. Your type of crazy is quite refreshing compared to all of Asgard's crazy. However you are not a grumpy old man you merely worry about your friends." Loki teased with his first words but then soothed.

Tony could only make a face at Loki’s words about Reed. He didn’t like the thought that he’d only be of use in the clean up of whatever brought Reed back to reality. Why couldn’t the man learn from Tony’s mistakes? He’d made more than enough for all of them. Loki’s next words put him at ease though. The teasing and soothing from his lover was becoming something Tony knew all too well. It was a combination that Loki always seemed to use on him. “Well I’m glad you at least recognize the crazy, even if you don’t see the grumpy part.” He joked. Fingering the end of Loki’s braid, he couldn’t keep a smile from his lips. “Couldn’t resist growing your hair out more huh?” he teased. “I really do hope you realize how handsome you look.”

Loki smiled gently at Tony's face at his words about Reed. He knew the man wanted the other scientist to learn from the genius' mistakes but unfortunately that was not how the world was going to work for his lover. Smiling brighter as the man relaxed with his teasing and comfort. He watched as Tony's messed with the end of his braid. "It suited the costume I am wearing as well as a plan I have for later this evening." Loki hinted with a slight mischievous look.

Tony tilted his head slightly, looking up at the god, a small smile spread over his lips. “Plans?” he asked lightly. “And would I be invited to whatever you have planned for this evening?” he asked quickly, Leaning closer to Loki, though not close enough to kiss him. Not yet.

Loki smirked even more as Tony smiled and asked about the plans. "I do not know. I was planning to invite this well dressed genius but all I have before me is a good looking Asgardian buffoon. I think if you want to be invited you must promise to loose the leather." Loki teased breathing the last part just low enough for only Tony to hear.

Tony laughed at Loki’s words, arms tightening around the god. “Only is you promise to help me with that endeavor.” Tony replied, finally leaning in fully, pulling Loki into a kiss. When he pulled away, Tony pressed a playful kiss to the god’s nose before looking him over fondly. “Honestly though, do you like these?” he asked, looking down at the armor he wore. “I wasn’t sure you’d want to see them.”

Loki smiled as the man tightened his arms around him. "I can assure you that I have no problem removing you of your clothing." Loki laughed after they had kissed. "I do indeed, I am glad to see they fit, perhaps next time we should see about getting you a full suit of armor and test it against the Iron man suit. Tony I had them made because I wanted to see you in them and as a part to annoy the council." Loki stated adding the last part as an after thought. He loved seeing his mate wearing what he had grown up in and he hoped Tony appreciated his surprise tonight as much as he appreciate the surprise of the man in the leather.

Tony smiled when Loki reassured him that he liked the little surprise. The smile turned into a challenging grin though at the idea of testing out full armor against his suit. His suit would win out every time, he had no doubt. Humming happily, Tony nodded. “Good. It was a lot of effort to get into this for you to hate it.” He joked, looking down at himself again. He wasn’t sure about his appearance, but Loki seemed to like it, so that was what mattered.
A moment later they were interrupted by Steve. The man smiled at them. “Sorry for breaking up your dance, but Tony, I think there is someone you should meet.” He said slowly, motioning for them to follow. Tony was surprised, but slowly trailed behind the Captain, pulling Loki along with him. Just outside of the room stood a teenager, shifting nervously. “Tony….this is –“ but he was cut off.
“Peter Parker. I know who he is.” Tony grinned, already reaching out a hand to shake, the teenager seeming genuinely surprised by Tony’s recognition of him. “Don’t look so shocked. I keep an eye on those with potential. Keep doing good work, and you may have a future at Stark Industries.”

Loki shook his head in amusement when Tony smiled a challenging grin. He knew the man was going to challenge the armor in the best way he could to see which was better and he knew his mate's would be better. It encased the man's whole body. Looking up as Steve came towards them and he smiled at the man. He wasn't surprised that the man wanted the pair of them to meet someone, he was a bit surprised that Tony might not know the person yet. Loki followed with Tony to where Steve was leading them and was surprised to see that they were brought before a teenager. Loki wondered how someone so young had gotten into the 'hero' business. When Tony said he knew who the boy was Loki smiled. Even more so when his mate held out a hand to greet the boy saying that he kept an eye on those with potential. He liked watching his mate interact with the boy.

Tony stepped aside slightly, taking a moment to introduce Peter to Loki. “Peter, this is my boyfriend, Loki. And before you ask, yes the Norse god.” He said, holding up a hand before the teen could ask. “Loki, this is Peter Parker. I think you’ve seen a few news stories about Spiderman.” He said, providing Loki with an image of Spiderman. When they’d greeted each other, Tony crossed his arms, looking Peter over. “That’s some pretty impressive tech you carry around with you. I have no idea how you managed to create…..web shooters?” he paused, unsure what to call them. “For the amount of material they carry, I’ve never seen any sign of them through your suit.” Peter was flushed by this point, completely amazed that he was receiving any type of attention, let alone compliments, from Tony Stark. “Th-Thank you sir….It wasn’t easy. Nearly blew up my room a few times.” He admitted. Steve had yet to leave, hovering close by to watch, grinning from ear to ear.
