"Ah! right, school!" Marcie said a little surprised, she had forgot everything about this worlds educational and law system "Do you have school this time of the year?" Was it not December? which reminded her, wasn't Alex's birthday somewhere around this days? had they missed it with all the things going on around? school was going to be a problem, they required guardian signatures and stuff... Would she be able to become a guardian? it couldn't be as easy as it was in wonderland...

She looked at Marcie with pleading eyes...She then looked back to the sink, rising out her coffee. "I know it's to much to ask...I shouldn't have ...." she whispered. Her hair was in her face again, blocking the tears from Marcie's sight.

Marcie giggled "you don't need to go to a foster home if we make the petition before we tell them" she was too young to be a mother but it couldn't be helped "But... don't I need to be married to adopt in this place?" she needed to find a husband if it was like that but who? not raven, she loved him and all but she didn't want to scare him off with a marriage proposal.... maybe Dan? Dan would probably find it amusing...
((question: where are we on the RP? geographically speaking, the USA? if so which state?))

Ashle shrugged. "I guess you could do that..." she said. She put the cup in the dishwater. "I...I really don't want to go to school, though...If you wouldn't mind...I mean, i guess I could take online courses while...if I could work in the shop..." she said quietly. She looked at Marcie. She did a little jump thing, ending up sitting on the counter so that she could look at Marcie's eyes while they discussed this.

"Well, I don't know much about school..." Marcie admitted "Never attended, father taught me to read and write and the rest was self study so I wouldn't mind" she said quiet frankly "But Dan says in this world you do need a title even if you just want to be an artist like he" she then snickered a little "Funny how you don't need it to sell stuff though" She added thinking of her store "My, my, we are going to need a bigger place, I don't usually spend much time here but I do like having my own room" she said thinking of all that needed to be done, there was going to be a lot of packing to do if it was like that.

Marcie looked a Ashle a little worried "Sorry, I must be boring you with my rants" She said looking at Ashle's corporal position "Are you feeling too overwhelmed by this?" she asked knowing they would need Ashle's mother consent to an adoption if she didn't want to bring her to court.

"Hey, hey, hey" Marcie said jokingly "No pairing my gay-boyfriend and my lover please" she was part joking and part serious, she had already given up on Matt for his and Ashle's sake, she wasn't giving anyone else up, Marcie became a little serious "I'm not sure how the law here works... I would need to do some research and I am almost sure we will be needing your mother's signature if nothing else" she said with a sig rubbing Ashle's arm.
((idk, i was reading the Wyoming adoption laws, now i have to read the San Francisco ones... where are we going to be? before i read anymore laws..))

((I was reading, and for someone to adopt they have to be ten years older than the person their adopting...))
Ashle nodded. "You're going to have to get it, cause she won't even look at me..." she said. She looked up. "Maybe...If we get the form, and we tell the school, maybe they could do something about curving the law..." she said, looking very pensive.

Marcie smiled "I will get it then" She said and place a kiss to Ashle's forehead "We will need to see all that is needed before we can see where we can bend the law ans where not..." she added still unsure.
