Cale Darksun Celestia Whitesword Cale Darksun That depends. Is Freya a Corellian? Possibly, if the test you gave Johnny a while back is any indication. She and Gunther are of the same bloodline, and I think myself and elvis discussed the possibility of Corellian ancestry somewhere down the line. Plus, you seem to be a fan of the Darksun Blood Theory ... XD Something we'll both have to hash out at some point. Thats just me boasting of my character and the fact some 5 generations have passed since CotGCW and being that Cale died 60 years before the current story, he could have gotten around quite a bit. But thats just a theory. I also seem to recall you saying her mother was corellian. Her momma's Veron's sister, whom was a rogue type. Still, I imagine between the five generations o' Starsingers between Em Squad and Legacy, there may have been a Corellian or two in the family. 3nodding And, I'm sure her momma may have shared her bed with a Corellian at some point.

well I was going to say, if you were Corellian, then you could pull the old "Solo Head Tilt" first witnessed in the ANH special edition. But if you dont mind an NPC death, having Bear throw himself in harm's way for you would be about the only cop-out I can think of.

The head tilt thing? You mean in the infamous "Solo shot first" scene?
As for Bear, I did consider having him around for historical purposes. But then, there's probably not much he could tell Freya that Rusty couldn't.

You could always have Rusty take the blow. You're in quite a mess. But it does serve you right for dropping your guard when you're seeking to overthrow the government. xd I never saw Leia sunbathing during her Rebellion Years....

No, but Leia did get romantically involved with a rogue type charrie. heart
Rusty could, but then we'd get a rip-off of the "Daisy" scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey. 'course, that depends on how high he flies to do so.

The thing that comes to mind is:
Bear pushes her out of the way, and is greatly wounded. Given the height difference, it'd probably hit his stomach, and most likely take off one o' his arms. I imagine that even an injured wookie is groovy enough to provide distraction for the rest of the gang to either:
1.) Bear wrestles with our unexpected Sith friend, and tells the others to take Freya and get out o' dodge.
2.) The minute Bear pushes her out, the others arm their weapons and surround the Sith, telling her to drop the saber or they'll fill her with bolts.
Of course, the latter depends on who happens to be on and paying attention ...

There's always the "blinded by the glare" excuse if the sith sees reflection off teh water.
Or something with enough force creates a concussion which rattles everyone around, like a bomb going off nearby.

Cale Darksun How does he loose his arm if she stabs? This assumes his nearest arm is in the path of her saber. Let me get back to you on that ... sweatdrop *plays with a saber IRL, making adjustments for Freya and Bear's respective heights ...*

Ok.
1.) Freya is pushed out of the saber's "stab-path"
2.) Both the saber and Bear are still in motion.
3.) Where Freya was is now occupied by Bear's arm. Or perhaps stomach?
Thus, the force still behind that stab would then be in motion ... of course, it would now be an unfocused slash to whatever part of Bear is now in that path.
