I have a hard time with peer pressure. I feel like I HAVE to beat all the so-called classics and try out all the games my friends are into.
I miss being a kid, even though I rarely beat any games, because back then I didn't give a crap what people thought of my game-playing habits. And it's such a stupid thing to care about. crying

You AND Trenn.
I could feel you trying to make me want to play old games. BUT IT DIDN'T WORK!
I think that by the end of the sale I'll have no money or interest in picking up SR3. Every time I think I've got all the junk I really wanted on my wishlist I find a new thing I forgot about..
Like Penumbra Black plague. I gotta play that! I have to figure out what happens to the guy whose name I already forgot.

Old games can be awesome still! Old games that feel really outdated, and that are extremely frustrating and chorelike, which force you to do the same thing over and over and over again or to memorize the stages or to look at a walkthough, are shitty.
Sometimes it can be hard to determine which old games are actually legitimately good when people go around praising shitty NES games like Kid Icarus or Zelda because they're "retro classics". There's a reason you don't see games that really play like those ones anymore.

They may have been alright in their time, but the people who think they're still awesome and everyone should play them need to shut the ******** up

Hehe, I have no idea what those games have to do with this steam sale, but I don't disagree. Zelda II is a lot better than the first Zelda, IMO, and I still don't like it enough to be able beat it. I'm not even that enthusiastic about LTTP these days.
I think I'm gonna wait until the next sale to get Assassin's Creed Revelations.
I initially made a typo that made me think "Aladdins' Creed" also I wrote "sail"
Gonna buy Biocock 2 if and when it wins the vote later. I loved the first biocock so much I want to spend more time with a bunch of biococks. Sadly there are only 2 so far. Biococks, I mean. Did you notice I spelled it Biocock? Isn't that so weird and funny? I totally did it on purpose for that reason.
Biocock.

Well it's not the Steam sale that brought this on as much as it is me beating Mega Man 4 (with save states) and just being angry afterwards and feeling like I wasted my time. I only beat because it's classic Mega Man, you gotta beat it! It's classic~!
I HATE ARTIFICIAL DIFFICULTY WITH A PASSION >___<
And then I went to play a Wii game that no one really cares whether or not I play but me, and was amazed at how fun and not chorelike it is.
I'm always haunted by this feeling that I need to be playing some game I'm not really into, lately.

I haven't beaten Skyward Sword. So what? The vast majority of people who like video games haven't, either.

I don't think you're rly krabby today.
I mean, if you are, you don't seem like it.
Just because you have complaints or contrary opinions to voice doesn't much mean you're crabby, and if it did I'd be crabby all the time. It's the spam can. I've worked under the assumption all these years that you can post whatever you want.
Edit: Also something to think about: They went back to zelda II to get inspiration for the fighting system invented in ocarina. Imagine viewing the fights in ocarina from a locked side scrolling camera. Like in a 3D side-scroller. (you'd lose a lot of info in top down because link does stuff like the crouching stab in this game. Just like Zelda II! it does infact look identical when adult link does it.) It'd be really similar in a lot of ways. It was the first game where link really had lots of different "moves" (Not just variations on slash and spin.)
It has a terrible learning curve, though, and you need a guide. You also just need to like... bear through the whole beginning of it until you start getting magic and the up and down jump stabs.
