Flightless Butterfly
I would like to read them if you could direct me that way, and I would love to get some pointers from you on what to avoid with examples of it so that I can see the concept that you are talking about.
There are some people who won't take hits, and cannot be spoken with because their entire goal is to douche bag your match. You've done this long enough to realize that those situations are pretty much the rule with new players, and the established, more experienced fighters.
Glory RoadPrime example of two fights that went - more or less - perfectly smooth, where any OOC dissension was handled over PMs or messenger.
Endless StepsThis thread has two examples to see: One of which to avoid (Impact v Ryugi), and my fight with Stephen, which went more or less perfectly smooth, because we respected each other OOCly and maintained communication when it was needed.
Primetime RingJello v Fish is essentially another good fight showing where people respect one another's characters, and maintain OOC communication and respect, despite the controversial grading that happened.
Mooo vs OmiReyin vs FoxcrossOf course, some people will immediately point out that I'm only choosing fights from HoH, or fights that somehow involve a certain group, to which I'll point out that this group is inevitably the one I've had the most experience with, so my examples will be drawn from them.
Hell, I could likely find more examples in the GTB that are specifically based on people outside of those I'm allegedly familiar with, if I wanted to sit my a** down and read through the fights. I'm just not in the mood for it right now.
The point is, fights should go as smoothly as possible with some respect between players as people, and for their opponent's characters AS fellow actors in the world of roleplay, along with a does of common sense and fair play thrown in.
