Admiral Skippy Mireo LilChibiusa Skippy's definition sounds about right. Think about it. Wouldn't you say that a t-shirt that says, "I heart Weighted Companion Cube" would be an esoteric reference to Portal? No, because everybody and their mother knows about Portal now. I have a shirt that says "Weighted Companion Cube is my Co-Pilot". Every time I wear it I never hear the end of "the cake is a lie" and "still alive" jokes. To use the video game metaphor: It's like if someone had a T-shirt that said "Ico" on it. Bah, I almost died tonight. I'm not having this argument. scream

Mireo, I am now in your world...sort of. My guess is your instance was a little closer to death than mine. But on saturday night I went to pick up my girlfriend from the bar, and on our way back some drunk driver (must have been) swerved right in our lane going 50km/hr (that's 31mph) and swerved out just before he would have hit us head on.

I'm glad that both of you are okay! Those experiences sound terrifying! So far, the only near death experience I've had is when I almost drowned in a river when I was in middle school. Knowing that you could have died really does change your outlook on life.

Ah! Come on! You can't flee that easily! You at least have to tell us how life is treating you!

About .5" of ice on the ground already. Potential for another 1" of ice and/or 10" of snow by Wednesday night. Last semester of classes. Honors thesis. Looking for real jobs. Holding down current job.
Kind of like that burning_eyes

Good luck with your thesis! What's your topic? I guess you must be close to graduating since you're already working on it. Are you still working at Target? I just got a job at Dollar General, and I hate it. xp But, I am a bit jealous of the snow and ice. I love winter weather, but we don't really get much of that stuff this far south. Maybe that's one of the reasons why I love it so much; It's a novelty.

I'm just doing my thesis in tandem with my CS capstone project which is making an inventory system for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. And yeah, hopefully graduating in May. Still at target too.
I like snow, I don't like ice, and ice is all we're getting so far. Classes were cancelled today, likely will be tomorrow, because everything is just shining and covered in layers of ice. Travel advisory for the county was issued to try and keep people off the roads because they just suck that badly.

We've had like, 115cm so far this year. Our average is 130cm. Plus North Dakota has had a lot of snow too so far, I think over the 115cm we have. The problem with that is that all that snow from North Dakota runs north into Manitoba and through Winnipeg come spring. And last fall the Red River was about 8 feet higher in the fall than it normally is. So we're looking at having a massive flood come spring. 1997 there was a really terrible flood, and this year they're gearing up for one just as bad if not worse.
Where do you live Kenny? Also, you look kind of like Edward.

We haven't gotten a single inch of snow. I guess that snow must hate Alabama. confused
@Kenny - It's really cool that you can combine them like that. My capstone was on the use of tangible objects in a book called, "A Handful of Dust," written at the height of the age of modernism in the 20's. 3nodding
@Skippy - Haven't you ever seen Cowboy Bebop?
