I though we did early on... Maybe I lost it or something... Granted, I was not very good at keeping up communication w/ anyone while I was at college.
It's definitely a weird but great feeling to finally be done, and I'm happy that the Refuge still stands.

It is a shadow of what it was once . . . but I keep it going. And as long as I am captain- you will be welcome. Hell, I'd make you a Mod if there was anything for the mods to actually DO! You deserve it in my opinion.

That may be, but it doesn't have to stay that way forever.
Even back when I was on the staff here, the team didn't have too much work. A lot of that has to do w/ our good member base. We don't have troublemakers (they tend to get the boot pretty quickly), and we've got an excellent leader!
Ah well, the fault goes both ways. biggrin

Not a lot could be done about it, and your RL obligations put limits on how much time and effort you can put into the RPR.
Heck, RL obligations are why most of our former captains stepped down. Not to put down captains past in any way, but you've stuck w/ the RPR for a long time when you could have just abandoned it in light of its decline.
The Great Guild Down Time is also a huge part of the RPR's decline. It made a lot of people lose interest in guilds as a whole. Couple that w/ Gaia not giving Guilds the features they give to the Forums (or pretty much any developer attention at all), and the decline is expected. Finally, teens aren't interested in RPing as much as they used to be, it seems. Social networking seems to have glomped most of them, and those that do RP aren't very literate...

I never give up on this place . . . though I have several times offered to step down. Nobody seems to want the job, so it is mine (if for no better reason) by default! gonk
Still, you have good points. All I can say is that this is my online home and I won't just walk away. You have good points on RPers . . . the drive is just not there anymore, and the drive to be literate is even less.

Now that I have graduated, I would be willing to lead the Refuge, but I know you've done a far better job than I can ever do. I don't have the best leadership skills...
