He nodded as he pulled out a chair opposite the old man, settling down in it and looking back to him, "I wouldn't exactly call myself a Legend in any respect, there are so many more interesting people in my time. I could likely fill this area with people more worthy of being a legend than myself." He let out a brief sigh, "Just listening to myself makes me realize how tumultuous my past has been. Five months ago I would killed anyone that didn't think of me as a legend, or something more awesome than God...or in my father's words, more awesome than cake."

He laughed, setting his hands out on the table and placing a pencil in between them. "Cake was an awesome thing. But still, as is in the book, you are more worthy of the term legend then the great God himself."

Tac came running in from the hallway, ignoring everyone in the main room and smashing into the door, forgetting he needed a key. He quickly fumbled for his key, shoved it in the lock, turned, and sped through the door, he was sure in a hurry to leave.
~~~
Torment was about to respond as Tac ran through, "Speak of the devil..." But before he could react any further Tac was gone. He shrugged and turned back to the old man, "That was pops, he shows up here in the Brink from time to time as well. Now, I may be a bit larger than life in that book, but I'm only a man. Albeit a half-god with little fluffy puffball on my head, powerful magic and soul manipulation, but still. As long as you don't have this view of some godly person inscribed upon your mind, I'm fine. Being praised is nice and all, but sometimes things are...exaggerated and distorted. Though seeing as we're in the Brink, I'm just a normal guy talking to another...whatever."
The man stood, moving over and gently touching the puffball over the man's head, looking them over, then sitting back down. "Quite. Perhaps rather then talking to me, you should be talking to the writer of the book. I take nothing with me but what I get from a book. That is my way." Hanley sighed, putting his hand on either side of the pencil once more, watching it quietly.
He twitched slightly as the man felt his wings, not exactly pleased Hanley had just came over and touched them of his own accord, without asking. His wings curled up slightly and seemed to stretch as Torment went to grab his drink once more to take a sip, missing as his hand slowly begins to fade, "I guess I'll be able to do that sooner than I thought..." and with that he is gone.
:::Cora emerged from her room. She had been in there a few hours. She couldn't sleep and did not need food, so she came out to see if there was anyone else outside.
She was dejected to see that it was empty, but she went to the bar, pored a glass of shiraz, and sipped it...hoping someone would appear eventually:::
:::She sits for a good while, and manages to drink half her glass. When she puts the glass back up to her lips for another sip she sees that she's fading, and puts the glass down on the counter before she is totally gone:::
:::Cora appears in the brink yet again. This time she is seated, and in the middle of taking a bite of her nutrient block. She looks around, finishes the bite and puts the rest down:::
I need wine...
*Johnathan blinks in, laying upon the ground with a M249 SAW held within his grip, taking aim at a foe that was no longer there and firing several rounds into the darkness. He hadn't yet fully realized where he was.*
"I want those robotic bastards deader than a meat-sauce covered ghoul with a chainsaw up his a** in a PIT FULL OF GOD DAMNED DEATHCLA...."
*He fired off another burst before he pulled away from the weapon and looked around.*
"This place again... God dammit, less ammo for those mechanized shitheads after that outburst."
What in the...!?
:::Cora nearly fell backwards when she heard gun fire, and she would have had she not been trained to take cover, so instead, with out much thought, she hoisted herself off her stool and rolled forward to land behind the bar:::
:::When the firing stopped, she shouted from behind her cover:::
You, Citizen! Desist at ONCE!
The old man laughed as Jonathan appeared, having appeared not a half minute earlier. "More killing and less drinking?" He watched him carefully as he laughed, his scottish/british accent shining through in his words. "Perhaps you could find some more somewhere else."
*Johnathan slowly stood up, using the butt of the rather large weapon as a crutch of sorts, though he wasn't really leaning on it. He glanced around and centered his sight on the section of the Bar behind which Cora was hiding.*
"Civvie? I think not. I am Knight Commander Johnathan Hunter of the Brotherhood of Steel. Identify yourself and your affiliations."
*He hoisted the M249 SAW up on a table and let it rest there as he put on the safety, though it was still pointing in the general direction of Hanley. He kept one hand inside his trenchcoat where a holster held a Magnum revolver.*
"And to you, civvie Hanley, it is certainly interesting to see you again."
"Still fighting the unwinnable war, I see. I hope you added another notch to your helmet." He looked at him matter of factly, sighing a bit. "Perhaps you should stop war. War is what destroys the world, you know."
:::Another voice...? Cora did not recognize either of them. Lately, she'd been demonstrating caution with newcomers, she slowly peered over the edge of the bar, and when she was satisfied with the threat level she pulled herself off the floor and walked back around the bar to face them both:::
:::She saluted:::
I am Omega Force First Rank Officer Cora Serenis from the House of El. :::to Hanley::: Please state your name and status.
*Johnathan glared at Hanley for a moment.*
"You have no idea how true your words are, old man. I have seen the after effects first hand. Every single day of my life I can see the dwindling mutations. Discrimintation againt ghouls, supermutants, and deathclaw alike, its all there."
*His eyes found their way back to Cora, she looked like pure Vault Stock. Extremely few imperfections, if any. The mutation rate seemed extremely low, even, non-existant. She even seemed to be some form of ranking officer. He returned the saulte as he pulled his hand from his trenchcoat, he hoped he wouldn't need his weapons.*
"It is refreshing to meet another ranking official in a place such as this. Tell me, what does your rank signify, it is... unfamiliar to me."
