As per usual, the training fields were lively and active with exuberant students. Determined as she was to make an impression on her peers, and ideally find her perfect partner, Keiko was... well. Afraid. What if her abilities as a weapon just didn't cut it? What if she was rejected like she always had been? Swallowing thickly, she stared around at the clusters of students practicing and talking with their friends and partners. It seemed rude to interrupt, even if only to introduce herself, so she resigned to finding a quieter spot in the Training Fields to practice her forms. It had become second nature to her to let her arms transform into the coiling shape of a chain-sword, but her other two forms were still a bit unruly. The bladed discs appearing at her shoulder blades took too much effort to be practical, and the straight blades at her knuckles were flimsy and faltering whenever she attempted hand-to-hand combat with them. So, to focus her mind and get her concentration at its peak, she began with her usual meditation and a few simple yoga poses to center herself. Her cheeks burned as she thought of who might be watching her bend and twist in her various forms, but it had to be done. Otherwise her thoughts would be too scattered to accomplish anything.
The only way to prove myself,she assured herself silently,is to show off.

Nano - The Shadow King Form: Little Demon Abilities
Little Demon / True Demon Abilities: • Shadow Melding: While in these forms Nano is able to meld with any shadow he pleases but he is unable to attack from inside the shadows and must exit to cause harm, while inside the shadows he is able to move around the area much much faster. Nano is able to create a shadow for a brief moment if need be but they tire him out very quickly.
• Shadow Weaponry: Nano reaches into the shadows and grabs hold of some of the shadow, he then pulls it out into whatever weapon he desires it to be that is proportional to the size of his form so Little Demon weapons are much smaller than that of True Demon.
• Crescent Strike: Usually prefered to do this with a size or curved sword, Nano slashes in any direction sending out a crescent made of shadows towards the target.
• True Demon Only - Pitch Black: Raising one arm up into the air a ball of pure shadows forms in his hand and begins to channel itself, once it has fully channeled the ball explodes and surrounds the entire area in the pure blackness of Nano's shadow realm, eliminating any light that is in the area and instantly eliminating any that is forms while inside the realm, sight becomes entirely useless while this is active. Lasts four posts, channel is two posts however if Nano takes damage the channeling is canceled, two post cooldown once it ends.
╟──────────────────────╢ The tiny demon moved through the many many shadows that were always around the training field, he enjoyed watching the students train to become better and often would spar with them though they could never actually beat him and most of them knew this fact. Nano popped his head out of the shadows for a moment and took a quick look around at all the students, he noticed a female student on her own off in less populated area and merged back into the shadow, moving towards her he watched her closely to see if she was a meister or a weapon but couldn't figure it out. Once he had reached her the little demon popped out from the shadows and stood infront of her, standing no more than 2'1 in this form most found him adorable which he truely hated and hoped she wouldn't be like the others "Hi there! are you a weapon? meister? i haven't noticed you here before and i notice everybody who comes here." his voice would not fit his demon nature at all, it was far too innocent sounding in, so innocent he wouldn't even be considered an actual threat by most.
Keiko was breathing deeply, in through her nose and out through her mouth as she bent backwards to form an arch balanced on her hands and feet. Just as she shifted once again so that her feet were poised and pointed daintily in the air, she was forced to pause when she heard a voice. Imagine her surprise as she blinked open her eyes to see a small, horned creature standing in front of her. Of course, she had seen stranger things in her time at the school."Me?"she asked half sarcastically, managing a small smile as she did one final flip so that she was standing upright once more. "A Weapon,"she answered simply as she folded her hands inside her long sleeves again, and gave a small bow of greeting."Keiko Himura, at your service. And what may I call you, Inpu-san?"

╟──────────────────────╢ Nano returned her smile with his own rather fangy grin, it would be easy to notice that all of his teeth were sharp, pointy as if they were made to tear flesh from bone "A weapon huh? Are you a scythe? Sword? Axe? Spear? A boring gun? Ooo what about a hammer!? as he spoke his tail would constantly dive into his shadow and pull out a shadow version of each weapon he mentioned and continued to pull various other weapons out, halbreds, glaives, a bunch of different length swords. It obvious that he was simply showing off to this new person he's never met "Name? I don't remember my name but i was given the name of Nano by Lord Death but now the far more important question. Do you have any chocolate?" a rather odd question coming from a demon but his love no, his addiction to chocolate was well known to those around the school who had met him before.
Keiko, having been faced with fearsome foes whose souls had been transformed into Kishin eggs, was unfazed by the little demon's grin. Admittedly his fangs didn't seem altogether friendly, but he'd shown no signs of being a threat. So, naturally, she remained poised and collected."Ah, no,"she chuckled lightly at his few guesses as to her weapon form, amused and impressed by the likenesses he'd created with his shadows."I happen to be a chain-sword, of sorts. One with three forms, no less."This she added with a less-than-subtle hint of pride; if she had to be ashamed about being Meister-less, than at least she could be arrogant about one thing, and one thing only. Before she could glow too brightly with pride, nor show off one of her weapon forms, she was caught off guard by the rather out-of-place question."Chocolate?"she asked, her smile turning apologetic. Keiko had never been one fond of sweets, so naturally she wouldn't carry them on her person."I'm afraid I don't, Nano-san. I'll be sure to bring you some next time, though."

Nano looked around for the girls meister "So where's the counterpart to the expected teams of DWMA? Do you not have one yet?"

It was at the exact moment that the word "Meister" was brought up that Keiko seemed to shrink on herself. Willing down the slightest blushes of embarrassment, she cleared her throat and gave the tiniest of shrugs."I'm afraid I don't,"she admitted softly, almost as if hoping he wouldn't hear her."Partially because I function quite well autonomously... as you Westerners say, if it isn't broke, don't fix it,"she lied with a bright smile."As Naiga-san told me, the right match will come along in due time."

╟──────────────────────╢ The tiny demons tried to hold back a laugh at the mention of the right match will come along in time "That's so silly, you choose to wait for the right match instead of becoming a bad a**?" Nano laughed harder as he continued to speak, perhaps it was because he knew alot of solo meisters and weapons or that it was because he had no need for a partner since he was just there to help protect the school and it's students. When he finally stopped laughing and calmed down, he smiled at her "Why not just be the most bad a** weapon that ever was? Why don't you show me what you can do little Keiko."
Keiko couldn't help but purse her lips a bit in frustration at the sudden turn the demon's mood had taken, outright laughing at her ideal of finding the perfect partner. It seemed that he too was encouraging her to simply play it solo, but she knew that wasn't the path for her. She'd had enough fame-gone-wrong without being the one in a million Weapon to become an autonomous Death Scythe. This time she found herself unable to return his smile, her hands clenching into fists, albeit hidden within her sleeves."I'm not one to fight senselessly,"she began simply, "but if it's a challenge you're issuing, I accept."Unlike some may have expected, she gave no boasting or witty remark to predict her victory. Prideful she was, but to such a degree that she would rather not be arrogant lest she lose. That would only be more humiliating.

╟──────────────────────╢ The demon's smile turned into a grin as she mentioned she accepted his challenge so he backed up abit to give her some room "I will allow you to make the first move little Keiko but one thing you must know, i will not hold back and i do not expect you to do so either but don't expect to win this little fight." as usual Nanos arrogance was high when it came to fighting the students, he knew most of them would never be able to actually beat him in a fair fight or without a team to help them "But there will be a condition, when i win you will have to buy me some chocolate, do we have a deal? Now make the first move." His stance never once changed as he waited for her to move but his tail had dived into the shadows ready to pull out his prefered weapon, a scythe
She watched closely as the demon backed up, almost expecting him to prepare for some kind of sucker punch now that she'd agreed. When he did not, and in fact allowed her the first move, she gave a bow of respect before initiating the duel."I expect only for the battle to eventually end,"she responded to his arrogance coolly,"and may the fates justly decide the winner."Truly, she had no idea how this battle would turn out, so it wasn't a lie, or a mask of modesty. As she spread her legs into a wider, sturdier fighting stance, her arms glowed, lengthened and contorted in a flash of rosy light. When it faded, the flesh had turned to metal, bone to a wiry length of cord stringing along the many segments of the chain-sword. Like snakes, they seemed to move of their own accord. Her first move, angling her body to give her attack more power, was to thrust one length of bladed rope downwards at her smaller foe's feet, meanwhile the other was prepared to catch him wherever he decided to dodge.

╟──────────────────────╢ Watching her as she prepared herself for the battle and turning her arms into the chainsword it has been awhile since he had seen a proper chainsword so he was truely excited to see how this would turn out "Fate has nothing to do with victory." His grin grew wider when Keiko launched the first attack and instead of moving out of the way he stayed where he was until it was about to hit him when he merged into his own shadow with incredible speed. He had just dodged the attack but now he also had access to the shadow that it created so he used the shadow to move behind her, popping out from the shadows and instead of attacking her he just backed away from her again, he wanted to see what else she could do before attacking her "I am a shadow demon Keiko, be careful of your attacks as i could use the shadows they create against you like i just did." Nano pulled the scythe out of the shadows and simply waited to see what she would do next.
"A little doggie, huh?" Flynn asked with a small smile as he looked down at her. He nodded when he heard that she wanted to take it slower today. "Fair enough," he replied. They had burned out pretty quickly last time. Both her and his watch. They should probably take it slower. He gave a short laugh as she teased him about his hands. "Well as opposed to your table-breaking claw hands I suppose you could say that," he teased back. He felt them resonate slightly. It felt comfortable. It was definitely a good start. "Sure," he replied to her question as he looked around the Training field for something they could punch. Preferably something that wouldn't start shooting at them. Two more people came onto the training field as they were talking. Well, one seemed more like a demon. He watched the demon for a moment but it seemed like it didn't have any ill intent. The demon and the girl who had come in were talking but he couldn't make out what they were saying. He went back to looking around the field before he spotted a human-shaped punching bag. "Think that'll do for a start," Flynn said as he walked over to it. He raised his fists and got into a boxing stance. "I don't think we've ever straight up slugged something yet," he noted. "Not as a team I mean." He threw a few punches at the bag, sending it swinging. His form was good. It was obviously tougher than a normal bag from the way he hit it. He threw more punches before he stopped and looked down at her. "How does it feel?" He asked.
Keiko's surprise didn't show on her face as her target suddenly disappeared. Even as a Weapon without Soul Perception, though, she could sense him behind her as he revealed himself once again. This time behind her. She spun effortlessly on her heals, using the momentum to this time send both of her chain-sword appendages at him, aiming to wrap and coil around his body, hopefully restraining him.Even if I do manage that,she warned herself,there's no telling what other tricks he's got up his sleeve.She grit her teeth at the thought, as if that could brace herself against whatever was to come next.
