Jez smiled at him as best she could, and then resumed furiously chomping on the bird's skull until it gave. She made a happy noise and nommed it thoroughly, making sure there weren't any ickysharp bits before she swallowed and drained the bird's body.

Riley smiled faintly at Jez as he watched her drain the bird. "To be honest...it's a little unnerving really...I mean I was just turned a few days ago and suddenly the thought of draining the blood of others, even if it's not to the point of death, doesn't bother me. Normally I'd be horrified at a sight like this, but now...not so much..." he said thinking back over the once beautiful bird's horrifying death at the hands of a small baby; no doubt a monster in the eyes of normal humans.

Angel watched Jez as she cut open the next dove and drank it all, then cuddled it to her little chest. "She's just so adorable," Angel murmured with a sigh.

"Angel takes a lot of getting used to, too," Val said with a soft chuckle, watching her sister getting in a staring contest with her niece. "I mean, I've known her my entire life and I'm still not used to her. Must have been watching her come out of mother's v****a."

"Please spare me such details...And I'm used to Angel by now, it's vampirism that's going to take some getting used to. I just don't want to start thinking of my sister as emergency rations and Van as a walking acid trip for me just waiting to happen." Riley said glumly.

"I'm sure Angel will have some flowers to make Mala's blood smell absolutely disgusting to you," Val said with a smile. "You'll know it works because then you won't be able to smell Mala's blood at all. We instinctively block out the smell of bad blood, as in blood that has some sort of weird disease, or a drug or something."

"That's not the point, the thought would still have crossed my mind." Riley said before giving a frustrated sigh. "Dammit, I think Alek's gotten to me...Now I'm paranoid I'm going to start thinking of humans as food and nothing else. At least the ones I don't know, which is ninety nine percent of the world."

They opened up the borders of their country for a hundred willing feeders every year, who are given a life of luxury, and get to go home at the end of their year."

"....Where'd Alek go? I think I need some male bonding...." Riley said, soon realizing that most of his time had been spent with the female vampires of their group. And with Van always hanging out with Mala, not that he knew where the god was to begin with, that really only left one candidate. Which was bound to be weird considering the two hadn't really hung out, and most of what he heard from Alek were many variations of 'don't hurt Angel or I will hurt you'.
((And yes, I think I have writer's block, why do you ask?))

Zelly-fangirl "See ya in a week!" Van said to Marly, who waved happily as the couple disappeared back to Mala's room at the inn. "Of course, I have no idea where that gaggle of bloodsuckers is..." he said, calling them as such in a non-offensive way. {Last semester's gym teacher looked like that to me. I had nothing against her what so ever, but she did.}
"Well, knowing them they're probably at an orgy or...at an orgy. We might be able to find Angel near a patch of flowers or something, though." Mala said after a moment of thought.

((Just came back from noms and I am now fueled by yum. It was chicken tender day in the dining hall. biggrin ))
"The question is whether or not we'd find her with Riley. It matters because that determines the amount of clothing they probably have on." Van said, really not wanting to walk in on vampire sex. "At this point, I'm inclined to believe it's a vampire's nature to be horny."
((And yes, I do enjoy sharing random aspects of my life so long as I can word it in a funneh way, or I feel the need to rant and/or vent. Because I'm not so desperate to get a livejournal yet. XD))

Mala had been pretty stubborn with herself about ignoring that fact. Hearing Van say it only had the feelings of despair Mala locked away retun tenfold. It showed clearly on her face. "My baby brother's innocence has been stolen. He's a father and doesn't need me anymore." she kept mumbling faintly to herself, almost locked in a trance of dismay.
{That's good. I like doing that too every now and then. XD *huggles* Hooray for sharing things!}
