[Kichi :: Hawaii :: Aerial Dogfight]

Kichi gave a quick shout of "Aye aye!" to Kyle, before putting the spikes into an almost dish-like formation, to try and start redirecting blasts more instantly, which he got a couple shot back out, doing some damage to another Ifrit, but nowhere near enough to take it down. Kyle landed, and started charging, and an idea came to him. "Kyle! I have an idea! How does multiplying that power by at least two sound?!" he asked as he dodged into a blast aimed at Kyle, catching it and holding it. He kept up the pace, catching another two shots, one aiming at ruining Kyle's footing, and another aimed at Kichi himself. It was apparent very quickly to him he'd have to push his limits in holding them to pull this off...but it would be well worth it, judging from how little damage he was doing to the battleships.

{Bobbi .:. Hawaii .:. Dogfight}

Bobbi frowned at Joe's response, not that he could see it. After a moment of furious thought--as well as a quick dive to scatter some organization--she spoke again, her tone one of frank confusion.

"Dude, that was definitely your Zord. Same size, same shape, et cetera," is what she said, slowly, as she thought the scenario out. "So... if it wasn't you who hit me... either an enemy fighter is able to replicate our Zords, or... wait... ...f*ckerdoodles."

It was the word "replicate" that clicked it. She opened a com link to everyone, and even sent word over the charms to anyone Zord-less, "Issue, guys. We have Replicas on the field. Definitely in the air, maybe on the ground. Pretty sure I just got nicked by Joe's. Keep an eye out for evil twins!"

[Michelle : Hawaii: Aerial Dogfight]

The numbness of focused anger helped her head stay clear, but it didn't make her any good at following the flow of battle and the chaos of so many fights above and below. Still she wasn't stupid, and she listened carefully to the cross chatter of communication.

"You must choose young one. We can either shelter next to Kyle behind Mizu and Kichi, while I try to push this strange body to it's max. If we have enough time I can give you the equivalent of several thousand joules of magical electricity in one blast orb. OR..."

This idea sounded great to her coming out of the speakers in the old man's voice that was so familiar from their bantering in her head. Unfortunately this is when the main ship unleashed another wave of smaller fighters, nearly doubling the amount of Gnats as Kyle had so rightly dubbed them. "OR we can get over there help Mizu keep this hoard off the boys while they plot their lovely big show." Michelle finished his second option herself. She really was getting to know the 'Ol Coute a little too well, or was it that he knew her, she wasn't sure and that didn't matter right now.

Finishing a strike to a near by flier her yellow zord came to hover above her three friends. As she spun in a circle bolts of lightning shot from every spiky, uh would you call them feathers, lancing out to zap at any Gnat that got to close. The effect was a bit flashy and yet it looked so cool. Her zord started to look like it was the center point of one of those plasma globe toys some people had as kids.

[ Kyle, Ooze, Ghis , ??? : Hawaii : Village and Sky Above ]

"80% capacity. The target seems to have sustained some damage already. Sustain lock-on or vary target?"

"Sustain- if it's still alive, we need to take it out."

Kyle was somewhat annoyed by the fact that he was a sitting duck, but knew it would be worth the wait. The charged blast would easily do some damage- enough that maybe he'd take an entire ship out. When Jon volunteered his own attack (and after watching his first two, Kyle was impressed), he nodded. "Sounds like a plan! I've locked onto the Ifrit you just damaged, so if we're lucky they'll be down to three!"

That's when Bobbi started talking, warning of the Replicas on the scene.

"90% capacity. Target's velocity accounted for; locked on."

Kyle wasn't surprised to hear of the Replicas' involvement. After all, it was Ajora that had goaded him into hurrying over, lest he miss the fun. He was more surprised that this was the first time they'd even interfered. But that wasn't relevant now- only the target.

Which, as it happened, was targeting them now. Small specks of light on the hull of the Ifrit revealed its own charging blasts, and a small alarm went off in Kyle's cockpit.

"Target is preparing a counter-attack. Due to the strain of the charging blast, we will not be able to effectively avoid the blast should we commence in firing- which, by the way, will be done in just a few seconds. Continue?"

"Tch, duh. As if I'd honestly back down now," Kyle said, rolling his eyes behind his visor as his hand rested on the lever that had slowly been pushing back toward him as the cannon charged. It was just about to touch the bottom- there!

"Jon, go! Divine Dragon Cannon: ESCHATON!" Kyle shouted before forcing the lever up in one rapid push.

The cannon on his back suddenly erupted with a massive, targeted pillar of golden Light energy almost as wide as the Zord itself. It flew toward the Ifrit with a frightening speed, and on contact, rocked the entire vessel. Jon released his own two blasts simultaneously, sending the larger toward the Ifrit and the smaller toward the second Carbuncle; the larger blast struck the Ifrit's other side, and the combination of the charged cannons tore through the ship's innate defenses, causing it to erupt with its own energy and do slight damage to ships nearby.

"Yes!" Kyle shouted, only to have his Zord shaken by the neaby eruption of energy- one of the other Ifrits had begun to target them, as well, identifying them as primary threats. It would be a few moments before his Zord was capable of flight again, but he managed to run on the side of the volcano with his claws.

---

As Dani's attack struck the core of Ivan Ooze, the highly pressurized water caused the entire Megazord to flash a violent shade of red. Ooze suddenly jolted awake in pain, and in a matter of moments, the core was closed, causing his normal, purple color to return to the rest of the Proto-Babil.

"You blasted snake!" he shouted, reaching out and grabbing the Leviathan by the tail and literally slamming it down into the ground, directly into Kyle's bladed Snake-Zord. He let go afterward and instead began to grumble, continuing his march through the doomed village toward a certain forest clearing...

---

"Sir, they've destroyed two more ships- the second Carbuncle and one of the Ifrits!"

"We're getting large energy signatures from behind the cloud cover, sir, but no visual-"

"The infiltrators are nearing the bridge-- they'll be here any moment-"

"Sir, we've finished our ascent. Do we have authorization to begin drilling?"

"Yes- commence it immediately," Ghis finally spoke up, his voice still icily calm. It wouldn't take very long for the massive laser drill to get to the core of the volcano. Everything else by this point was a triviality.

The doors slid open behind him, and everyone suddenly stopped talking to glance at the people who'd entered. Standing there, unfazed by the trail of bodies behind them, were the infiltrators- the Black and Gold Ranger, the Red Ranger, and the Blue Ranger.

They stepped forward toward Ghis, who turned around to finally face them in kind. His helmet remained on, so his smirk remained veiled, though tangible.

"Here to stop us? You'll find it much more difficult than taking out some dogs in armor."

The Gold Ranger merely shook his head. Without any sign of hostility, he only spoke three words.

"The Nethicite, please."

----

The three remaining Ifrits and the Shiva began to move ahead of the Leviathan, heading toward the village and acting as cover for the flagship. The Ifrits each fired a large, magically-charged blast toward separate targets- the Unicorn Zord (John), the Thunder-Bird Zord (Michelle), and the Behemoth.

Along the hull of the Shiva, a line of energy began to charge in dozens of separate, small spheres, though no attack was yet released.

The Dreadnought Leviathan, now soaring high above the volcano's caldera and thousands of feet above the village below, suddenly fired a massive, multi-colored laser into the crater. It was reminiscent of a Scathe spell, but hundreds of magnitudes larger.

[ The Calvary : Seas -> Hawaii : Flying Over the Village ]

"Seems we're just in time!" shouted a boisterous, older man over the com-links of all those in Hawaii. Some may have found his voice familiar, and if it didn't happen to ring any bells, then the sudden appearance of a massive airship from the cloud cover over the sea would come as even more of a surprise. If anyone was paying close attention, they would see massive laser cannons on either side of the large airship.

"Un fa'na duu myda..." muttered a young man next to him, playing at the consoles rapidly.

"Crid ouin dnyb yht cdub paehk cu hakydeja!" replied the older man; to some people's humor, this was still played over the intercoms.

"English, please?"

It was another voice, and from a different communication channel. The voice may not have been as recognizable as the previous two, but his own airship would probably have made up for it... as well as the dozens of other airships, cannons already in the process of charging.

"Just whining, Regent!" Cid of the Al-Bhed replied to Regent Cid Fabool IX.

"Sorry we took so long, kids!" the Al-Bhed 'commander' called out. "Got orders to evacuate the Land of Dragons just last night, so we had a bit of traveling to do!"

"However, King Mickey gave his word, and we are here to fulfill it! Now, without further adieu!" Cid Fabool declared, and without warning, his large fleet of ships suddenly rushed forward. They were roughly three times larger than your average fighter, but moved slower as a result.

With them, however, it didn't seem to matter. Cannon fire began to rapidly erupt from the fleet, taking out scores and scores of the fighters, thinning their numbers quickly.

"We just run full scan! The Leviathan's shielding is pure magical! No energy attacks will go through - yet!" Brother announced through the com-links in his broken English. "And giant robot has small weak points! I send everyone information now!"

Everyone in the Zords suddenly had their monitors light up with information. Ooze's weak-points were specifically his four main joints and his head; nothing else would harm him whatsoever. As well, three key targeted areas lit up on the Leviathan's hull in separate places, each labeled as 'Shield Generate'.

It became clear pretty shortly that the tides were beginning to turn.

The true reinforcements had arrived.

[[ For the youtube link, it starts about... 30 seconds in, I think? You'll know the fleet I'm talking about. ]]

[Dawn : Hawaii : In the sky]

Dawn tensed as Bobbi mentioned the replicas in the area. Why is it those replicas had to be in the background of everything? Since she joined the group they had encounters with them. Dawn's hands gripped tighter at the controls of Garuda as Joe flew off without her into the fray. She soon turned her own direction and Garuda clapped her wings together a couple of times in the direction of one of the smaller ships. She summoned a small tornado from her wings, blasting it into pieces.

As she was flying to try and avoid some of the blasts, that were being fired at her some voices started to speak over the com system. The first voice seemed familiar, he was soon followed by a man in a language that she couldn't place where, but she swore she heard somewhere before. The third one she couldn't place. She looked down at her station and saw some of the information that they were supplying. Dawn tapped a few buttons on the station to get a visual of the group.

"Wait, the Al Bhed and the Hilda Garde!" Dawn announced, not believing her eyes. She had always been a Final Fantasy fanatic. She had played the games that the two groups originated from. It was hard for her at first to grasp that the two groups were there. Dawn grinned as she she flew in the battlefield, relieved that the groups were on their side.

'Now if only James was here. He could help translate....' Dawn thought with a grin.

[ Ooze, Rangers : Hawaii : Village ]

Within moments of Ooze beginning to walk, he was met with unwanted company. The cursed reinforcements had come after all- how unfortunate. No matter. He was invincible, after all- he merely had to destroy that stupid little alien ship, and the island would be his for the converting!

"Going somewhere, slimeball?"

Ooze froze, looking up toward the source of the voice, his face contorted in rage. "You! You stupid little kids weren't due back for another day!"

"We're better than you give us credit for, Ooze!" Billy responded as the Ninja Falcon Zord landed directly in front of Ooze. The Zord was just as tall as the Proto-Babil, though multi-colored to represent each of the original rangers. The Zord brought it's fists up as it prepared for battle.

"Fine! I'll take you out just as easily as I destroyed Zordon!" Ooze shouted, throwing a punch toward the megazord's face, which was parried and countered. The personal mega-brawl had begun.

{Bobbi .:. Hawaii .:. Dogfight}

Bobbi hadn't recognized any of the voices that came over the intercoms, but the mere fact that they were the reinforcements she'd technically told the others about made her grin like a fool. A huge wave of relief washed over her; she hadn't wound up building up a forlorn hope after all! And when the data transmission came through, her grin just about split her face in half.

"Beautiful," she murmured through her grin, quickly studying the weak points on both the ships and Ooze. Ooze would probably be the easiest for her to target, since the weak points were fairly obvious. In fact, his head would be perfect for her to hit.

She wheeled around the battlefield a few times, making note of where everyone was, and also making sure Kyle was covered while he recovered from the Divine Dragon Cannon. Seriously, he wasn't going to live that down any time soon. After the third turn about, she started looking for the best way to hit Ooze when the real Power Rangers showed up. She recognized their Zord from the movie, and laughed out loud. And after she laughed, she hoped her com links weren't open... She wasn't so much laughing at anything, it was just... too much awesome at once.

As the Rangers and Ooze started duking it out, she began tightening her circles so that she was above the fight, looking for a chance to dive at Ooze and slash him with her wing-blades. She made sure to take a few shots at anything she could, but her focus was mainly on Ooze. She wouldn't be much good against the Leviathan ship; even though the shield generators were clearly marked, she still hadn't found anything she could use against it aside from the ice-gatling. She'd be more use distracting the Proto-Babil Zord as much as possible.

[ Seymour : Hawaii : Village ]

Despite being hit with the Holy spell, Seymour seemed absolutely unfazed; just in case, the Mortibody cast Cure on him, undoing any damage done. The Holy spell couldn't have been more of a give-away.

Regardless, Seymour began to double-cast again. This time, he cast a mass Wall spell. Everyone on the allied side was enveloped in the protective aura, increasing their Physical and Magical Resistance by 3.

[Noelle ~ Hawaii ~ Village]

. . . Hahaha . . . you're a bear.
'Can we focus on the task at hand, human?'
Yeah-yeah, I'm on it. Oh, wait . . .
'What is it?'
. . . Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?
'Human . . .'
Sorry.

Noelle stood by the others attacking Ooze in her zord, a large bear that stood seven stories in height with large, sharp claws. She was ready for action, but couldn't seem to find the right place to jump in. Her timing was awful, and she knew it, so she was very apprehensive about just throwing herself into the fray. Why the sudden stage fright, she didn't know. But it turned out in the end that waiting a little was worth her while. The information about Ooze's Zord's weak spots came on her monitor, giving the agromancer a little more reassurance. Things became even better when the Rangers joined in.

"Alright, seems I've waited long enough." She said to herself, getting ready to step in. With the new information about the joints, Noelle aimed for the knees. Four pillars of earth erupted from the ground at an angle, two targeting the knees at the front and two targeting the back of the knees, all of them timed to hit simultaneously.

[Anthony ~.~ Hawaii ~.~ Village]

"Up to me," Anthony said, nervously chuckling. "Right. No problem." The young man mentally groaned as he rose to his feet and walked out from behind Auron. He hated taking charge. Following was so much easier for him since he's so flexible.

It was about that time when the effects of the ailment disappeared thanks to Seymour. He then felt his physical and magical resistance increase, once again thanks to Seymour. This gave him some confidence.

Anthony stepped forward, his gaze setting on Terra. With Louis charging at the green haired woman, maybe there was something he could do to keep her in place for the attack to connect. But with the attackers in the shadows, he needed some backup.

"Auron," he said, not bother to turn back to face the samurai. "I have an idea, but I need your help. Your sight isn't fully back yet, but I need you to cover me somehow. Or at least pretend to just in case the hidden attackers swoop in."

With that, the knight took a knee and slammed his palms into the ground, releasing his chains, which dug through the ground towards the woman. If all goes according to plan, the spearheads would surface and wrap around Terra's ankles, preventing her from moving away from the Behemoth's charge.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 30, 2011 11:34 pm

[Terra : Hawaii : Village]

Terra's eyes focused on the raging behemoth charged at her at Louis's command. Before she could jump or dodge, Anthony's chains came out of the ground binding her feet to the ground. She raised her arms around herself, surrounding herself in a Holy spell. As Louis's beast made contact with Terra's spell it exploded outwards, it combined with whatever force the blast from the Ifrit, might have, would of possibly been enough to send the beast sliding back a couple of feet.

As the dust cleared from the blast, Terra sat on her knees. Though her resolve was strong, she suffered damage from the charge, that in combination with the poison that was going through her system. Despite this, Terra was not going down without a fight. As she was crouched, she held her placed her hands on the chains, where she charged a concentrated Fire spell to heat the chains at the temperature such as used in a smithy. The heat wouldn't of traveled to the bearer, due to the earth. She hoped weaken them so that they might break, despite the pain caused through the concentrated heat.

((I am unsure of how the chains would react with the heat, I am taking a shot in the dark. If it is not a possibility, someone let me know and I'll change it.))

[[ Mod's Edit: Heartfelt weapons don't break, that's common knowledge. As for the heat, considering the properties of heat conduction and the weapon's magical properties, it would take pretty long for the heat to travel xD Like... maybe a couple of minutes. Lightning would travel almost immediately, which Terra might know, but Anthony's immune... which she wouldn't. xD

As for your counterspell, I should give fair warning that this is a Behemoth. They don't go flying. xDDD They might, you know, be knocked back a couple of feet, a few meters at most, but never flying. ]]

((Edit: Okay edited the bit about the behemoth, but I'll have to get on later about anything with the weapon when I get home.))

[Dani :: Hawaii :: Sky above the Village]

“Ahh!” Dani shouted as Ooze lifted the Zord by the tail and slammed her into Kyle’s snake. When she connected against Kyle’s snake, the scales from his snake pierced her own Zord causing some damage.

“Leviathan!” Dani shouted in concern “Are you okay? Can we still function?”

“Barely. It is going to be hard to continue fighting, however we are going to have to anyway.”

“I am really sorry Leviathan.” Dani cried at Leviathan, feeling bad about hurting the poor serpent.

“It is fine kid.” Leviathan said before detaching himself from Kyle’s snake. He noticed that his whole midsection is covered in Kyle’s scales but there was not much that he could do about it. “Okay Dani, we have to go back up to help the others, we may have weakened Ooze but it is not over yet."

“Okay Leviathan,” Dani nodded to herself before launching her Zord back into the air.

By the time Dani had gotten airborn, she had noticed all of these new places on Ooze marked, as well as the Leviathan ship to also have shield generate marked. “Leviathan I really don’t know what to go for at this point. I mean, it seems like everyone is focused on Ooze.”

“Kid you are the assassin.” Leviathan sighed, “What would the assassin do? Would the assassin do what everyone else is doing? Or would he or she attack the one thing that no one else was focusing on?”

“Okay Leviathan I see your point. Thanks.” Dani looked around the battlefield before she locked onto her new target: the shield generators. Dani made her serpent Zord fly dangerously high so that hopefully no one would notice her. She quickly flew over all of the airships until she saw below her Zord was Leviathan and one of the highlighted shield generators. "I Hope this works." Dani thought to herself.

Dani's Zord dived as fast as it could down to one of the shield generators before swinging it's tail right at the generator.

[[Louis/Behemoth : Hawaii : Village]]

Everything was dead to the arcanist, everything around him, nothing mattered but the green haired mage. Upon reaching her, cannon fire from above bombarded the boy and the monstrous creature. Louis hung on tightly as the behemoth jerked in response to the explosions from both magic and physical explosion, all the while never letting go of Sayrike.

The Behemoth never stopped its charge, even in the face of the holy spell. The creature used its mass to plow through and slam into the girl, ramming her with the side of its head and with a jerk, toss her to the side with similar difficulty to swatting a fly.

Louis turned his attention to the sky for a moment, roaring again with the behemoth as it's horns began to glow. Behemoth tucked its chin to its chest and tensed its body, the horns glowing brighter and brighter as his power rose.

[Kyla: Hawaii:Sky Above Village]

Drat!! She was so sure she could have nailed him for sure! Oh well, she wouldn’t be seeing eyeballs exploding today- was that relief she felt? No, she couldn’t possibly be happy that it didn’t work. But Kyla would be lying to herself if she didn’t admit that it like she just avoided going too far.
She managed to avoid being swatted like a fly, but the edge of his large hands caught the rim end of her craft and she got sent spiraling around in the air.
The movies always made it look easy for character to recover when this happens- but in real life you’re lucky if you don’t blow chunks within seconds!

When the dazed and disoriented artist could see straight again things had already drastically in the game. Ooze seemed unbeatable, until Reinforcements arrived, and some light was shed on his weak points! Dani got a really good shot in, and now Kichi and Kyle were combining their powers to give one of the larger airships a real smack down- it exploded! Just when it seemed the snowball was about to get his nasty mitts on the Mothership, the Power Rangers FINALLY returned!

She couldn’t help but squeak a little inside as the Falcon Zord soared right over her head.
Dani had given Ooze one for, and now it was time to follow that up with something.
Thanks to the Intel, Kyla could see Ivans weak points and decided to try that little trick of her again.

Kyla’s voice came over the com in Bobbi’s cockpit. “ Hey Bobbi- I see you want to try and make a swing at Ivan’s ugly mug- I think I can give you that opening. Back me up?”

If Mizu followed her in, Kyla could open a path for her and the others. But she needed to get around anything that could block her or take a swing at her. Her Zord was pitiful and she doubt it could take a serious hit if it had no shielding of it’s own.
Which reminded her.

She tapped the touch screen controls and found what she wanted- why the HECK didn't she activate this in the FIRST place?!

The jewel on the front of her Carbuncle Zord Bike lit up and cast protect on itself!

“..if at first you don’t succeed… try a different power.” She smiled.

[[Captain's edit- Kyla had apparently misunderstood my (probably badly-worded) summary and thought Kichi and Kyle attacked Ooze with the cannons. I fixed this.]]
