"Alright Rivera..." Kira said quietly, while in his mind he continued the conversation. I'm sorry.... I'm not exactly the most trusting person considering all the things that have happened recently... I shouldn't have doubted you... He responded without moving his lips. But he was imprisoned by his own kind for what? What did he do that was so wrong in their eyes? He asked curiously. As he felt her move and look at him with her cheek resting on his chest, he simply looked back and smiled. "Yeah... Something tells me Kleptos would only try and ruin things..." He said then leant towards her, gently kissing her lips.

Rivera's eyes flickered pink and gold in light, pastel shades. That was her giggle, but she was quite sure Kira could hear her laugh in his mind, no matter how she tried to supress her inner self. She hated her laugh, it sounded cold but childish, like a snake-girl of some sort. Doubt is natural, it's what helps us survive against the tricksters. I'm quite sure that Eridde probably committed more than one crime. It shows up in me. More laughter echoing... But he was probably imprisoned because he allowed my mother to bear his first child out of wedlock. Illegitimate children were taboo in his culture. That was probably one reason why he never stole me away with him and left me with the Atlanteans. I would've been killed without question... or perhaps, I would've instinctively killed them. What she said last sounded so twistedly gleeful and dark that it was almost impossible to distinguish from Rivera's normal tone. It might've only been imagined, because she returned to her usual thought tone without any sign of change. Either way... I'm sure I'll find him...
Rivera let Kira brush her lips for a moment, but she suddenly recoiled, her muscles tensing. She was almost sure that she was being warned away. "I'm sorry... I'm not quite sure what that was..." She looked up at him, slightly bewildered and confused. Why would her instinct ward her away from Kira? He wasn't possessed at the moment, she was pretty sure of that. He wasn't bearing poison, and even if he were, she was immune to toxins. It wasn't like he'd do anything to her... What the hell was happening? Maybe it's just the recent stress... she's been jumping at the slightest movements in the shadows ever since Kestrel and Ravenhawk attacked them. It was a ridiculous habit now.

Kira listened to her laughter, he could feel her doubt but simply assured her through his own thought that she didn't sound bad. Yeah... But I shouldn't doubt the woman I love... Your father probably committed crimes because of how many you have? That's a hoot... So you're an illegitimate child? I seem to learn more about you each day... He mentally spoke. When he heard her twisted glee, he did nothing. He had felt that way about killing people before.
When Kira felt Rivera recoil from the kiss he looked at her with concern in his eyes. "Do you think it might've just been a little shiver?" He asked quietly. He wasn't sure what was wrong and this had triggered a deep concern. He didn't want her to always do that when he kissed her. Maybe she's just been on edge... He thought and simply kept his arm around her.

Rivera looked around her. The feeling of being threatened did no leave so easily. Her sixth senses were seldom wrong, and right now, it was telling her that they were being watched if not sniped. It was a horrible idea to try to snipe someone in a hotspring. With all the steam chances are the sniper would miss easily. Whatever amateur was doing it, she didn't care. "I think we shoul get out of here... it doesn't feel right..." She didn't look up to look for the sniper. If he or she knew that Rivera knew their location, they would certainly make a hastey shot. Rivera hated beginner's luck. It was usually very lucky.

Max laughed at the girl's story. He took a deep breath and looked over at the doorway. He was getting pruny. He didn't really want to be there anymore. But he couldn't leave Wendy at the hotsprings alone. That would be mean. He shrugged in his mind and decided to take the girl with him, though she was four years younger than him. She'd be his... younger sister. He had a lot of money he had saved up from working at that cafe in Paris... about... eh... US$3,000. He would probably be able to buy a bunch with that.... not that he needed much. He did want a new tie, though...
He shook himself out of his daydreams and looked over at the girl. "Hey... Wendy, do you want to go to the mall or something...? I've decided that you are officially my younger sister here at Ria. I've always been an only child so..." he said. He laughed to himself and waited for her reply. he had US$200 in his wallet and he had his wallet in his locker, so they could go straight from the Hotsprings. This would be a great day... and it had only started.

"Yeah... I can feel it too...." Kira said, able to sense the aura and smell the unfamiliar scent. He kept his eyes where they where, not locking up so as to appear suspicious, but enough to seem normal. He could tell what Rivera was thinking and didn't like the feeling of being killed in a hotspring. "Well... Let's go..." He said quietly, standing up and walking to the changing room for men, walking outside in a button up red and black tribal shirt with a black t-shirt beneath, as well as blue jeans and black sneakers. His wings were hidden beneath the clothing once again, not that it mattered though. The only problem was that his back was rather itchy from a few loose feathers.

Wendy grinned. "Really? I've never had an older brother. Just an obnoxious brother who is 8 years younger than me. It sucks." She nodded and then looked up. "Uhh... let's go then?" She grabbed the edge cautiously and jumped up, shaking the water off like a dog. When she finished, the blonde stood up and wiped her arms. "I'll go get changed." Wendy said before hurrying off to the change room. It had been a while since she had been shopping, and she had always been cautious about it.
She had a look of deep concentration on her face as she pulled her clothing on. She was still a bit damp-ish, but it was alright. Her hair was soaking her back, but that was also alright. She adjusted her pink-framed glasses on her nose (which she had forgotten that she had worn them there) and strut out of the room halfheartedly, her flip-flops clacking against the ground. Wendy pushed her back against the wall outside and raised her hands. Almost instantly, her hair was adjusted with the help of Wendy's wind manipulating powers.

"Yeah... I've always been an only child." he said. He got out of the spring and walked through the doorway and into the locker room. He undressed and changed back into his clothes. He would leave his tie for outside. He was too lazy and comfortable to tie it right now. He put his swimsuit on the teleporter back to the dorms and typed in his student ID number. It was instantly teleported back to his dorm room. He smiled at the technology of the place.
As he wandered out of the locker room, he looked around for Wendy. She was leaning against a wall. Fine with him. He walked up to her and pulled the water out of his hair and threw it on the ground. It soaked into the dusty ground and he tied his tie. Ahh... dressed again. He felt so comfortable... today he was wearing his purple button down and purple and black tie with a pair of jeans and a pair of black and purple chucks. He matched, no matter what. He laughed to himself in his mind and looked at Wendy. "Well... off we go?" he said.
((I'll post in the mall after you reply, ok?))

Rivera Lifted herself clear of the water, but was still hidden in the steam. Combining her power of water and lighting, in turn, fire, she formed more steam to float over the spring, a tower of white mist to haze into the sky in languid, relaxing patterns. Making sure that Kira and her movements would be obsured, she unwrapped the towel around her and wrung it out on some rocks right outside of the changing rooms. If she were careful, Kira wouldn't recognize that the pale, skeletal figure in the corner was her. Plans were churning in her head at the moment. She was thinking of ways to get rid of that pesky amateur of a hitman.

Rivera walked out of the changing room. She seemed quite a bit less nervous than she had been in the springs. Wearing a black jacket with dark blue stripes, a sleeveless t-shirt and long jeans, she was well equipped for the colder air. Her platform shoes were silent on the dark ground. Walking over to Kira, she hooked her hand onto his elbow gently. Just act casual... The hotsprings must've had some sort of magical property or another. She could feel their mental connection become weaker as they drew further away from the springs or eachother. It must've been a really weak bond then, if it couldn't hold out without magical assistance. There was another reason why she grasped onto his elbow besides to show her affection. The tiny silencer she always carried strapped to her thigh no matter where she was now left bodily contact with her for the first time in quite a while, and this will be for longer than just to set it down in the middle of cleaning it. Rivera palmed the miniscule gun into Kira's hand. It was little too small for him to grip well. It just looked like a really chibi silver gun with a very large trigger and trigger loop. There would be no problem for Kira to aim it.
"Consider this our next lesson." She smiled at him. "I won't let you get into deep trouble... I know where the person is. With your senses, you should know as well. What do you do? Snipe or be sniped. I think you can handle this, but deal with it fast. Kill him without combat." Rivera looked at him with confidence in her eyes, a mist of sharp yellow-green over a dim violet background, bright with streaks of silver laced between.
"Oh, and just a precaution before you go..." Rivera didn't let go of him yet, "The bullets in this thing's pretty small, but the gun's really strong. You're capable of shooting through a tree and killing the guy on the other side. Just so you know, make sure you're out of the line of fire even if there's something between you and the gun." She made a playful face, "Just look like we're leaving for our own dorms or something... He'll probably continue to stalk only one of us, probably me... so he'll get thrown off..." She put her arms around his neck and kissed him. Her voice didn't show too much emotion and her cheerful face was a complete affectation, a full falsehood. Her lips trembled as they brushed by his, and the arms she threw around him shook slightly. She hadn't ignored the fact that this gave the sniper more time to aim at them. Rivera broke away from him quickly, gave wave that was a supposed good-bye and left towards the longer path to the dorms. Hopefully, Kira could figure out what to do... and make sure that the sniper doesn't know what they were up to. If the hitman sees the gun because Kira was being careless, she would have to give him a lot of reading homework. That would mean SHE has to write out bits and pieces of the manual.

Kira felt the gun get slipped into his hand. After having it completely away from Rivera's thigh he used a quick snap of his wrist to send it into his sleeve where it rested, while his hand was clenched in a fist to keep it from falling out. It was extremely small though, something he didn't much see in normal guns that were as powerful as this one. "Later..." He waved slightly with his left hand and started walking off. He went behind a tree and started to use his vampiric senses once more. He could smell the b*****d. He was out of the line of sight and fire from what he could tell, so he opened a dark portal around himself and was soon teleported silently atop a roof where he could see the dorms. Rivera was near her dorm and the sniper's finger was squeezing around the trigger. Kira could hear the gears clicking together and acted quickly. He was soon behind the man with the gun aimed at the back of his head. "Game over... I win..." Kira said, his eyes glowing red with fury as his finger squeezed around the gun's trigger.

Rivera heard what sounded like a cough from the trees above her head. She knew that her sniper had been following her the entire way. If he had tried to shoot her, it would've been so simple to dodge it, she wouldn't even have to think about it. This was truely an amateur... yet still, even beginner have some trick of the trade. She sharpened her senses to check. "Kira..." She whispered, knowing his keen hearing would probably pick up her words. "He has a bomb strapped to his chest... " She could feel the hair on the back of ner neck prickle. "Get out of there, now!" Her whisper was urgent. This was a revenge bomb. 10 seconds after the heart stops beating, the bomb blows. If he couldn't escape fast enough via portal, she'd erect a shield... but she doesn't know how accurate it would be... she hasn't made a shield since the star test.

Kira simply yawned and stretched at this information. The next course of action was so obvious to him and it wouldn't take the energy of maintaining his physical form as he shifted through the darkness. A large shadow formed under the man and soon consumed him, banishing the dead body to an eternity of darkness where the body soon disintegrated.
Kira, satisfied with what he had done so far, simply walked to the edge of the roof and set flight, landing close to Rivera. His eyes had melted back to their usual pale brown as he walked towards her. "He was easier than I thought actually... I had hoped for a bit of a challenge..." Kira said quietly. The kill had given him a little more confidence than usual since it was the first time in years that he had caused someone's death. "So... What now?" He asked quietly.

Rivera sighed, but not quite with relief. "You're a lucky one... " Picking a needle off of the leg of his pants, she inspected it and snapped it in half, tossing it into the bushes. It was probably poisoned. "He missed." She smiled at him. "That was probably just an overambitious assassin in training... anyone could take him out. Don't let that make you think you're the king of the world." She elbowed him lightly and playfully, smiling cheerfully. But her eyes weren't green, which was her cheerful color. It was royal violet-blue. Rivera was deadly serious about something.
"There is no more time for more training, as Sara's recovery rate is unhuman." Rivera thought about Sara. She knew for a fact that the Kestrel was immune to direct magic. The downside was that she couldn't be healed at all. The upside was that she couldn't be hypnotized, drained, controlled, brainwashed or really anything that would affect her without becoming a physical form first. That shadow may not work so well on the higher level assassins... "I have all of my power back. It's time to make that sword of yours..." She looked at his wings... He had said they were what was most precious to him. It took her quite a while to decide what to do about it. Kira could fly, which was a great advantage. He would need his wings at all costs.
"You won't have to give up your wings." Rivera smiled, taking Kira's hand gently and placing it over her heart. "From this point on, I belong to you completely. I will give up half of my wings for your sword." It wouldn't impact her as much. She couldn't fly... her wings were made of the thinnest steel, used to propell her through water or to fight with rather than flight. With half of her feathers missing, she could still use them for combat and aqueous movement. Gliding would become more difficult, but she could forge new feathers to replace the ones she was born with. "Don't worry, it doesn't hurt me to do it, and I can replace them. If I'm important to you, and they are part of me, and I belong to you... then it would fit the criteria that they could be used as sacrifice." Her eyes turned lime green. Rivera's eyes rarely lied about her feelings. Green was always her cheerful color. It was hard to change.
But there was something else she had to sacrifice to make Kira's sword. It changed her eyes a little bluer, to a blue-green color. If it were to be as strong as it could be, she would also be infusing part of her own soul within it. The bond between these two souls would make it stronger, as the combination bore the essence of their relationship. But that meant she had to give up something that was most important to her. Kira could not belong to her, because that was Atlantean law, that a woman can belong to a man but never the other way around. A very typical law of the time. What she treasured the most, she could let go of easily. Because when she let go of it... she will never remember it again.

Kira looked a little displeased at the fact the needle had even hit his clothing. He sighed then turned to her with a simple small smile on his face. "King of the world? I would never want that... All I really want is a simple life, your safety, and you by my side..." He said lightly. He knew that she was serious, about what, he had no idea. So he'd simply try and relax until he found out if it was anything worth stressing about.
"No more time left to train? I guess I shouldn't have suggested going to the springs..." He said quietly, then heard Rivera say that it was time to make the sword he wanted. "No... I don't want you to give up anything of your's... You've given half of your soul for Kairyu... I'll give up my wings..." He said quietly. He looked at Rivera, his hand now dropping from her heart. "You belong to me... But I never want to sacrifice any part of you for anything I do... It's not right..." He said softly.

Wendy nodded and put her hands in her pockets. "Off we go!" She lead with joy and turned around. "Uhhh... purple-lover?" One of her eyebrows was raised and she was grinning. Her dark blonde hair bounced on her back as she walked before she stopped and sneezed.
"..." The girl was silent before she continued to walk to the mall, her flip-flops making an annoying noise on the ground. She hummed softly and crossed her arms. Wendy reached in her pocket and stopped humming to plug two iPod earphones into her ears. Her deep, blue eyes were closed and her mouth in a (close enough...) strait line.
