"I'll be right there." She called out, her eyes not leaving the mirror. "Whatever you're going to do, I'm going to stop you, no matter what. You are not harming my friends." She glared at the smirking reflection while it slowly faded away. Melanie let out a sigh and exited the bathroom. She returned to the kitchen and asked happily, "Ok, What's next?"

Amnity smiled and looked over to Melanie, handing her a spatula. "Here, and put this on." She handed her a spare apron and chuckled. "It'll look cute on you..." She laughed. "Alright, I'll let you try stirring the mushrooms around a bit. And after 10 minutes add the chicken." The soldier walked to the spice rack at took a few spices...When suddenly a manila envelope slid under the door and into the living room. Amnity froze and stared at it for a moment. Another proposition?... She walked over and picked it up. She frowned, obviously not liking the idea. Amnity looked over to Zahzi, still visibly upset. "I'm sorry...I have to take this."

Zahzi's eyebrow rose, looking at the envelope. "...Would you like some help..?" he asked, scratching the back of his head.

Amnity thought about it for a minute, then shook her head as she read the contents of the envelope. "No..It's alright Zahzi. It's just another hit job, that's all." She smiled a bit and reluctantly took her cooking apron off. "It'll be quick, make sure the apartment doesn't burn while I'm gone." She tired to laugh as she put her jacket on and opened the front door.

Zahzi sighed, but just shrugged watching her leave. "Alright then, onto work..." he said with a smirk and watching the stove's contents.

Amnity stepped out of the apartment building and put the hood of her black jacket over her head. She hadn't realized that it was raining. The streets were dark as usual as the storm clouds blocked the sun completely. A grayness fell over the city, and everyone outside walking had umbrellas except her. The envelope said to meet a man named Isac Elle. Of course every customer had a fake name to hide their identity whenever they put out a hit, but it was strange for the person to invite their hired assassin to their home. She knocked lightly on the door of the apartment numbered 107, but it was already unlocked. The soldier pulled her hood down and opened the door. The lights were off, but a dim light illuminated the room. "Hello?"
A message was left in Amnity's answering machine back in her apartment. She never answered her phone, so the number just left straight to the voice message. "Amnity. It's Doctor Dupree. I think that your identity might have been leaked to someone."
Amnity looked around the strange home. There were beakers and test tubes all around. It reminded her of Dr. Dupree's office....But this one seemed like more of a man scientist's lab. Suddenly a man stepped out into the room. He wore a long white lab coat, his dark brown hair messy and his dark eyes bloodshot from sleepless nights. "AX13, isn't it?" The soldier froze. That was the name given to her when she was born, her robotic name. It's been years since anone called her by it. "...Yes?" She asked hesitantly. The man glared at her with a hate comparable to her own. "You were in the city of Vanguard almost 7 years ago, weren't you?" In his rage, he slammed his fist against a metal lab table. "Weren't you?!" Amnity would have offed him then and there if she were what she was a few months ago, but she grew patient since then. She frowned a bit at the mention of the city. "Vangaurd City...Not again..." "Yes Vanguard city! The City which populations now dwindled from 30,000 to 4,000 because of you!" Isac boomed, his anger boiling over. "My mother, my father, my brother and sister were in that city when you came and massacred them! Tell me...Was that you?!" "...." Guilt washed over her as she stayed silent, her eyes to the ground. She couldn't even look him in the eyes. "Yes...I'm so sorry." Isac growled in disgust. He marched over and shoved her with enough force to knock her back. She could have easily held or ground or defended herself, her strength was 10x this guys, but she didn't. She didn't want to. The soldier crashed into a shelf that held glass test tubes and books. Amnity slid down into a sitting position on the floor, blood trickling down her forehead and down the side of her face at a drastic speed. "Don't apologize you monster! My family would be alive today if you never existed!" He scowled and marched off into another room. Amnity brought her hand to her head, blood dripping from her now stained silver hair to the cold marble floor. She did nothing, she only sat there and took the painful pangs of guilt that filled her. I am a monster....She agreed Isac came back with a syringe filled with a greenish liquid. She had seen something like that before, in her past. It was used to kill altered humans. "You're nothing more then a monster! A tool used by people to kill people! How dare you even show your face to society again!" He frowned, walking over to her, needle in hand. Amnity said nothing, and made no attempt to even get up and fight back. She considered it, letting him inject her with poison and killing her. The soldier closed her eyes. I'm sorry....

There was a sudden slam as the door was kicked in.
"What the f*** is going on in here?!" Zudah exclaimed, grabbing the man's wrist and neck. He then slowly began to squeeze.

The man felt as if his neck would snap in his grip. He coughed, then glared at Zudah. "I have to kill her! She's a monster! That b**** killed my family!" He spat. "She killed them!" Amnity hung her head, her eyes still closed as she let the meaning of his words sink in deep. That hurt her more then any pain he could ever inflict on her. "He's right." She said silently. "Zudah, let him go, he's right..."

Zudah looked over at Amnity with an eyebrow raised. "You really are an idiot, you know that Am?" he asked, sighing.
"You were under orders, remember? You were doing what you were told." he said, before looking up at the man.
"And you...You're not really in a position to say who lives and who dies..."

Amnity's eyes shot open. What he said hit a cord in her. She slowly stood up, her guilt suddenly replaced with burning anger. "Yes...I was under orders back then. But that does not justify my slaughter." She glared at Zudah through her blood stained silver hair. "I killed his family....I took hundreds of thousands of human lives, that I cannot deny." The soldier stood up straight, her voice regal and dangerously serious. "I agree with all you say...But I do not agree on the last accusation....I can decide who lives and dies..." Amnity's eyes glowed a neon red. "I don't want to fight you Zudah...So I'll ask you one last time.....Let...Him...Go..."

Zudah looked over at her again before twisting the man's arm, making him release the syringe, and hearing it shatter on the ground. It was only then that he released him.
"A better idea...If he wants to see his family so bad, end his suffering right now." he said, walking back and blocking the room where the serum came from.

Amnity looked back down at the man that was now coughing up blood from how tightly Zudah clenched his neck. She took a step toward him. "Get away from me!" He cried desperately as he tried to move away from her. The soldier stopped. An insult like that would have triggered her to kill him then and there...But she didn't. She paused for a moment, then she closed her eyes. "Go...Get out of here." The man struggled to his feet and glared at her. "I still won't forgive you..." Amnity met his gaze for the first time. "I'm not expecting you to...." He then made a run for it, leaving the room safely. The soldier stood there for a few minutes, then brought her hand over her eyes. She staggered back, as if she had just been punched in the heart. She covered her eyes to hide the tears. "Go ahead....Say it. Say that I'm weak..." Amnity took a deep breath, trying to collect her thoughts. "Say it! Insult me! Beat me up or something!..."

Zudah slapped her across the face once. "Open your eyes, Amnity! If you let people run your life, you're not going to get far at all!" he said, looking down at her.

Amnity looked back up at him. She never felt the actually physical pain of the hit, but she wished she did. She felt that she needed a bigger punishment for killing Isac's family then just a slap on the wrist. But it wasn't that that made her suddenly furious. "I let people run my life since I was a child! They took me away from my mother, they robbed me of my childhood and they forced me to kill!" She pushed him away. "I've opened my eyes already! I've seen the horrible things that the militants have done! I murdered everyone in the agency to gain my freedom and to get them back for what they've done to me!" That last part slipped out. She forgot that he had lost his memory.

"So that was you, eh..?" Zudah asked, raising an eyebrow.
"...I thought it looked familiar, seeing that is it seemed too professional to be some other agency..."
