The man was a bit startled. "Oh! Uhh...OK then." He smiled around. "My name is Joe Simpson. It's a real honor to be accepted here. Who am I to work with?"

Ruki chuckled a bit at the way Ike behaved. "Not much one for being out in the action, are you?" she half-joked, before turning to her knew partner. "Hello, my name's Ruki. Codename's Chibi. Nice to meet you, Joe," she greeted, grinning in the way only someone with the body of a twelve-year-old could. "I've just been assigned a mission in Rulkar to fight against people who can turn into dragons, and hopefully teach the humans a thing or two about how the scaly-half live." She punctuated that last part with a small giggle, the winged-boy's chipper demeanor seeming to have rubbed off on her. "And it appears you've just been assigned my partner."

Joe smiled. "Ruki, huh? Very nice to meet you. I'm sure we'll work great together." He looked to Ike. "Can I get a copy of the mission specs, please? I'd like to know a bit more before we go in." He smiled a little. "And, how do I get a codename? That would be kinda cool."

"When I first got here, it was your squad captain that assigned a codename," Ruki replied for Ike, letting the other a chance to just concentrate on the papers for a moment. "However, since the squads have been dissolved, I'm just assuming someone of a higher rank will take that responsibility, instead." She thought about mentioning how it surprised her that Joe hadn't asked why he was partnered with someone who looked twelve, but then, her original squadmates hadn't said anything either. Perhaps people at Mishaps were just that much more accepting?

((Kay, since freebird oficcially is dead/MIA.... I think we should drive the story home...)) Spider sat in his buggy, the hands firmly clentched on the wheel. It was unimmaginable what they had been through.... It must have been tough for his comrades, who had not yet had chance to make certain wrongs right, and to acclimate to his insanity. He looked back, turned on the music, and lit his last smoke, overwatching the burning hell that had become the village. Most of the rubble had begun when the villagers had realised they where many, and that he was just one insane dude. They had not realised the value of a strong throwing arm, hand grenades, and tranquillizer darts filled with a nearly lethal dose of LSD. It was a sad, sad accident that he had shot both of his comrades with horse tranquillizers, after the guy with the hendrix name had just staired in the air, and the girl had been taken hostage by some psycho-guy thinking a knife to the throat of a young girl could scare him. He patted his tranquillizer-gun. The darts where not lethal, if fired from a big enough distance. He had hit the would be kidnapper straight in the eye from three meters. It was better that way, he thought. They where not prepared to have a mission turn into madness, to see the swine with the eyes of a naked gun-crazed slaughterer.... He stepped on his cigarette, and turned towards the buggy. They lay there, sleeping like angels.... From his experience, it was not very good for the memory, but since they had some sanitytaking memorys.... He checked for a regular breathing, a good pulse, and for removed darts.... Then, he stepped into his suit, cleaned his body, and took out a good video camera. He switched it on, and pointed it towards the rubble, and the smoke rising from afar. "Ok, this is Doc loki speaking, the date is unclear. Have reccieved a call for assistance, only to see that both subjects, a young girl and some mishaps-guy named freebird, had been hold hostage by strange piglike villagers. After negoting in a calm and reasonable manner, I had to use reduced force to free my comrades. A good soldier does not negotiate with either terrorists nor drugfiends. " he swung around, and pointed the camera at the both of them, sitting in the buggy. "Yes, of course. Thanks to the heroic effort of the girl the mission target could go into our posession. With that, I end my report. " He switched off the Camera, nodded, and started the buggy. The best torture would be them waking up in the infirmary, fully knowing what he had done, and no possibility to proove it. "The best crimes are the ones so bloody disgusting and senseless noone believes them...." He drove towards the still open gate....

"Oh." Joe took it all in stride, nodding. "OK. Then, do I have to do something to earn a name? Oh, and when do we leave? I'd like to find my room first." A look out the office door showed several bags waiting for Joe to pick them up.

(( Oy, so it's just the two of us. I simply love reading your timeskips. =3 ))
Korie didn't really remember anything. She was just in a dark place, pinpricks of pain stinging on her body. All she remembered was a blade held to her neck, and then a gasp from the man behind her, then a sting in her side and there was darkness. But Korie knew she was alive. How she knew, it was just known.
There was no dream, but she knew she was sleeping. The mild pain was still there, and it bothered her. So she forced her eyes open. And she woke, sorta, but her eyes didn't open. She couldn't open them. Her body was overcome with lethargy, but her mind was sharp as ever. "God dammit," she thought to herself when she noticed how much painful effort it took just to move her index finger barely a centimeter towards her.
Korie could feel that she was lying on the ground of the buggy. The smell of old car verified it as well. She could hear someone breathing softly beside her, and the crazed maniac that caused this traumitizing experience of a mission was seemingly talking to himself, though his voice was different from the slurred gargle from earlier. Korie didn't pay any mind to the words he was forming. All she really cared for was the throbbing pain in her head and the drowsiness that was overcoming her again. She didn't even know if the mission was completed anymore; she just slowly slipped back into unconsciousness.

((if you love my timeskips, then please realise that this is from the point of view of an archfiend of drugs, who's smallest problem is not remembering a few missing hours. But since you love them so mufch, how about one more. )) Cat was happy, as she slowly clentched her claws into the face of owner, with her simplest puur of joy. She hzad been a little bit pissed when she awoke and found herself locked in a huge boring room, with loads of shiny things. She purred. Shiny things where fun, and moving them from top shelf to the bottom was both very fun and attracted humans in the same time. The other people had been unsupportive about her search of owner, aqnd kept running in the way, and throwing huge not shred-proofed things her way. She just had to give them a scratching. It took about as long as burping up a shoe that tasted very good but made your belly tickle that she found owner again. this time, in a scary wroom, which of course, she had to kill. She flattened out a bit more, mainly because she enjoyed the rythmic breathing of owner against her full belly. he at least had his way of accepoting her personal dominance, and dominating the people around him. Like he did to the people that wanted to take her from his face, which was majorly unfair because she had only for sets of claws and could not scratch behind her. She purred again, and looked to the two othewr sleeping forms in the dark white place. One of them, owner had carried on his arms out of the wroom wroom that he had told to go into the wall out of joy of recieving a facehug from his kitty. She looked over to her. Only some minor sticky things on her body, still not interesting enough to play with. cat knew that there was something between the owner and the girl, but she was unsure about what. Anyways, she did not care. If the girl wanted to take away owner, she would have to be clawproof. And even owner was not. She looked over to some uninteresting male, who had the same kind of big eyes as owner when he did pills, but a slightly better smell and very light skin. How did owner allways wash up with such strange people? She stopped her purring to lick her maw and yawn a bit, then she loosened her hold to owners face slightly, and relaxed even more. At least he was here again. She had even kind of missed him a little.... But Just a bit!

((I have been gone almost a week. Sorry for my absence.)) Sokato knew exactly what was wrong with the man, amnesia caused by a blow to the head possibly from the flying debris in the clock tower. Sokato had to quickly set the confused man straight. "I may be emotionless, but I am not a b*****d by any sorts. I also know for a fact that I am not associated with the Kremlin. Listen, you are an employee Mishap Mercenaries. More specifically, a mercenary. Currently we are slaying dragons in another dimension. I am your commanding officer Ace. Your codename is Rusty."
Ace's story must be completely far fetched for a man who believes he should currently be in Moscow and is being hunted by Kremlin assassins. All Sokato could tell the man was the truth.
"You obviously need medical attention. After we find Yue, I will fix you up."

Steven entered Ike's office with all of his regular finesse.
The door was lucky to still be on the hinges.
He slammed both his fists and his P-90 down onto the desk, a look of mild derangement taking over his face. "GIVE ME SOMETHING TO DO," he demanded loudly. He paused visibly, then glanced over at Joe. "Do I know you from somewhere?" he asked suspiciously, narrowing his eyes.
((NO. I'M NOT RECYCLING CHARACTERS. SHUT UP. HE WAS HERE FIRST.))
