I'm working on getting things downloaded on it right now. I hate all the new AIMs so I want to get AIM 95 on there.

I also think I'm officially tired of weirdos on the internet. I am resetting tolerance for bizarre/stupid behavior to zero. Stop pretending to be people you aren't really.

Edit: And I mean that in a 'how you present yourself to people in an OOC setting way', not 'stop pretending to be comic book characters' way.

Yeah, new computers are so much fun until you realize it has NONE of your stuff or programs on it. As for people pretending, at least you know how I am. Crazy stuff and all. I don't try to hide my weirdness

Careful which version of AIM you pick, they don't all work. I think the oldest workable version of AIM you can use is 6.0beta, which was the big 2006 upgrade. Once you go back beyond that, the versions aren't compatible with the new system. The best one to snag I think is 6.8.8.4, which is about a year and a half back.

We all have to upgrade sometime. You have to weigh out just how important to you your 6 year old programs are vs how important to you a decent piece of hardware is. I can't believe the number of people who still want to run Photoshop6.0 on their computers...
There's still generally a way to run a lot of that old software on your machine too, but mostly you just need to bucklet down and get new programs. Unless you want to port in a game, there's a lot of emulators for that. Hell, there's one for Tomb Raider. 1996ftw!

Yeah, I had to say goodbye to Bookworm and Zuma from popcap, but that's all right. I haven't played them in a long time.

I will say that the new 20" flatpanel screen really shows how bad Gaia's formatting is.

Popcap probably has new versions of those, they make a killing on the casual game market. I'd be surprised if they didn't keep upgrading.

Gaia's formatting sucks on all monitors. You have to have a 5 inch wide screen and the resolution of a blind grandma to for it to even work on a physical level, by which point the pixely avatars are so big you have to sit three feet back to understand what they are.

Yeah, I'm sure popcap does too. I have Zuma here. The formatting doesn't bug me too much but then again, I'm on a 17in laptop usually

This is where I mention Trillian and how awesome it is.

Eh, random babbling and deep ramblings. Ignore the inflections of poetic visuals if you like.

Right now I'm contemplating life. What does one do when someone offers them a way for them to reach for their dreams when they have been stuck in place for years. The world swirling out of control far away from them. Though with that offer, you have to find a way to reach one goal and yet have no idea how to reach out and shape the world around you to get the desired outcome?

Would one stand there shaken as the world slowly shrinks around you with the roads in which you can see before you are so far away from your desired outcome. Your chest constricting as your breaths become short. panic/fear of the unknown and facing ones past.

Or. . .

Does one grip onto the cloud floating above with a tightly grasping it. Shifting and forming it as you wish to have it. Making your own world to sit upon and look out with pride yet all the while facing your greatest fear. Could you walk the road to get there. Bringing back the spark that now burns dimly in the distance?

I myself would rather set coal beneath the flame. Cause the spark to burn brightly one more.

Well I'm back from Carlsbad California, after visiting my girl friend Jacqueline.

(isn't she cute.)
Jackie and I had been online friends for 3 or 4 years, and this was the first time we meet face to face. I don't think I'll forget the feeling when we first saw each other; as she ran up, glomped me, and then began to kiss me while we stood at the Train station in San Diego.

We spent the next few days just hanging out. She took me around Carlsbad, showing me her favorite places to eat, shop, and just relax.

On new years eve, Jackie, myself, and some her friends went and saw Sherlock Homes (which I enjoyed btw). After wards, we went to the town house of John, one of Jackie's friends, and had a new years party with about 9 other people. It was simple stuff. Just cooked up some hot dog and burgers, while drink out own mixed drinks (non-alcoholic). Mine was a combo of cranberry juice and Mountain Due: Volt.

Later, every one went to a public hot tube and relaxed while playing a censored truth or dare; only censored due to Jackie's younger brother Richter, who works out insanely, said he would kill any one who dared Jackie or her sister, Kattie, to do something that would make them look like a whore.

Oddly enough, it was the best party I had ever had.

I spent the final day with Jackie and her uncle George at Ocean View, walking along the coast side and eating Fish and Chips (really good by the way).

My only regret was that I only stayed for a few days, but Next time I'll stay a week.
Jackie and I know that long distance relationships may be hard, but we plan to make it work out.

Well happy new years every one.
