::SLAM.::
GHOUL?!
::Without another word, Nyx trudged off back down the hall to her room, where she was going to spend a good long while looking in the mirror contemplating her appearance.::
((7 am is totally my limit. I should have been in bed at 5. XD))

((Seems Boopy had some fun with Hunter last night ^_^ Until 7 AM? 0.0))
Torment slowly fades in, crouched down, almost on all fours. He seems to be inspecting the ground, or at least he had been, interupted by his arrival. He slowly rights himself and adjusts his shades, straightening out his shirt a bit before he starts over to the bar in search of something to drink, noticing a bottle on the floor. As he picks it up he reads the label, "Nuka-Cola? What in the name of ********?"

The british old man hobbled down towards the bar, taken in by the book held in one hand as he walked, moving towards one of the tables absently. He glanced up to see the man, moving over without much thought and glancing over the male's shoulder with his Sean Connery-like face. "Odd man had one of those, yesterday. Really weird indeed." His scottish accent was a bit hoarse, from unuse.

Tor really hadn't expected anyone to pop up behind him, especially not an old guy, nearly dropping the Nuka-Cola, "GAH! The hell? Sneakin' up on people like that for? Just deciding to scare the living daylights outta people? Geez...." He set the bottle down and leaned over to find something to drink, producing a diet sunkist...from somewhere.

The man jumped, moving back a bit and sitting down in a chair and looking up at the other. "And you shouldn't react like that around an old man. Liable to give me a heart attack."

Tor glanced at the old man as he opened his soda, "I'm willing to bet I'm older than you, or know someone who is. Besides, where I come from even dead people can be dangerous."

"Bah, I helped form the first grouping of people they called a city. And I'm from the distant future. And besides, I've heard of you in stories of old." He laughed, looking into his book, reading. "See, right here."

He turned the book around offering it to the other. On it were a picture of two people holding close, and one man far off in the corner. The man in the corner cast in shadows. The two up close looked an aweful lot like Torment and Kalie. "Three people in one house and a few other's from abroad come together to defeat... something. It doesn't mention what in the book exactly."

Torment studied the image carefully, more specifically what seemed to be Kalie, tracing his fingers along the drawn lines as he studied it. His gaze shifted back to the old man, "So, exactly who are you and where the ******** did you get that book?"

"I am Hanley Croix, an abstract. And I got that book frmo a rather old fire angel that claimed he was part of it. Said he even wrote it. He glorified you in the book, compaired to his own annoying and pointless persona within the book." He stood, offering an old hand to shake.

He absently shook the man's hand, simply staring at the book. He was lost in thought, mostly over the way the people in the books were portrayed. As he looked back to the man one question was in his mind, "He just...gave it to you?"

"Yes. He said something about keeping friends alive. He thought the man had died a long time ago, though he wasn't sure. Even said he wished the man thought the same of him. Never thought I'd meet that man he spoke of as a friend." He offered him the book in it's completeness, to read and enjoy his future life and his past experiences.

He looked down at the book that seemed to be retelling near current events, and then back up to the man, handing the book back to him, "I can't. One should not know their own future....the results can be...disasterous. Even if I could keep myself from looking, the desire would remain and one's resolve is not always absolute."

He took the book back, smiling softly and putting it away in silence. "A living legend. Quite interesting." He sighed, relaxing into the chair. "Would you do me the honor of sitting in with me for a bit?"
