My school is on a quarter system. New classes every three months. Granted it's only optional to do summer classes.

Wow, your director sounds scary. sweatdrop [] He can be scary if he's stressed out... One day in band camp everyone was absolutely petrified, because he was yelling for ten minutes at everyone to either shut up or go home. He looked so stressed, like almost about to cry or something. Let's just say that the trombones don't talk as much anymore... sweatdrop (Doesn't help that they're his instrument...>> )

[] He has only gotten mad like...twice. That we've seen. One was that day and the other was a few weeks ago when the concert band wouldn't shut up while about to leave the school. >>

I have 9 weeks.
No more high school band D=.
At least I am going to one of the few colleges around with a band program better than my schools current one. Isn't that pathetic?

I still have like...3 years and 1 quarter left in high school.
And I'm sure that any college I go to will have a better band program...just 'cause people would be actually dedicated.
But...it wouldn't be the same without the insanity of Hartmetz, as weird as it sounds...
Don't think I'll ever meet a director able to pull off a joke about another director being addicted to Coke (the soda) and not get in trouble with him. XDD

Coke, huh? My old band director was addicted to Mountain Dew. He always kept it in the mini fridge in his office. xd []

We have one kid who lives in Maryland, but comes here 'cause his parents don't like the school system. So if he forgets his instrument, he's screwed.
Our director, we think he's addicted to sarcasm.
(He denied using it once...everyone WTF'd.)
