((Cuwen and I are retroposting from about a week ago.))
*walks into Karrie's house, without knocking as usual. Smok, still in his shrunken form, flew behind her. She hadn't figured out how to make him change back yet. sweatdrop
Hearing strange sounds from the kitchen, she walked in and saw some men working with Amy watching them* Hey Amy... what's going on?
*zips around Amy's head, squeaking to greet her*

Amy turned around when she heard Kits' voice behind her and she smiled. When Smok buzzed around her head and squeaked, she laughed and nodded to him.
"Hey Kits, Smok. It's good to see you."
She went over and hugged Kits. "And happy birthday to you! Are you having a good one so far?"
She pulled back and glanced behind her to answer Kits' question. "And this is my birthday present for Karrie. Granite counters. He mentioned while we were on our vacation how much he wants them."

*hugs Amy* Thank you! Yes, it's been good so far. *looks at the work going on behind Amy* I'm sure he'll be really happy!
*Smok lands on her shoulder and she sighs as she looks at him* I don't know why he's still small. I keep trying to get him to change back to normal, but he doesn't seem to know what I'm talking about.

Amy looked up at Smok quizzically and put her hands on her hips. "I know what you mean. When Thistle turned pink, I tried to get her to change back to blue for the longest time. She had no idea what I was saying. Sometimes you just have to wait for the animal to do what it wants to do in its own time."
"Have you tried asking Velcore for help? He could act as a translator for you, I'm sure."

He knows he's small, but doesn't understand when I ask him to turn back to normal. He just looks at me like he's waiting for me to do something. confused
I asked Velcore, but he's no help. Smok doesn't talk, he just squeaks, so Velcore doesn't understand him. It's like me trying to understand what a baby's saying.

Amy tilted her head to the side as she continued to look at Smok, considering something.
"Almost like he's waiting for you to do something? Kits, can he completely understand you and act on your command? Like, if you started to do something, like wave a hand for example, could you ask him to squeak and he could?"

*nods* He understands me almost all of the time. Actually, I think he always does, but he acts like he doesn't if it's something he doesn't want to do.

Amy laughed softly. "Naturally. Well, maybe you could either act out something with your body, like you're going to touch him or something, or you can verbally suggest something. You can ask him to squeak when you're close to doing something that will help him to get back to his normal size. From what you've said, I'm guessing he needs you to do something in order for him to get big again."

I don't understand, though. Why would I need to do something to get him to turn back to normal? confused He changed size on his own, I think...

Amy shrugged and looked back at Kits. "Maybe you did something before and didn't even realize it. And I'm wondering if you need to do something because you're like his familiar or something similar. It might be like the connection Thistle and I have. I seem to make her magic stronger and vice versa. You're not magical, other than being able to grow ears and a tail when you want, but that might not matter for a dragon."

*shakes her head* I don't remember doing anything, other than saying that if he was smaller, I could get him out. He chased a bird through a tree and got stuck between two branches. I was trying to get him unstuck, and when I said that, he suddenly was this size. confused

Amy pictured the scene in her head. "Hey! Maybe that's it. Maybe by you saying it'd be easier for him to be smaller made him want to transform, to become smaller. Maybe if you said you want him to be bigger, he'd grow back to his normal size."

Amy groaned softly in frustration. "Well I don't know, then! To me, it seems like that should work. Have you looked him directly in the eyes and said you want him to go back to his original size, that it'd be easier for you if he did?"
