((I really like this RP, and would hate to see it get deleted in what feels like its early stages. Where did everyone go?))

][Sorry for not saying anything and that short break, you see I use a USB compatible wireless NETGEAR. It picks up on hot spots that the wireless router in our house gives off. My dad was moving my PC and since my USB NETGEAR is in the back of the pc he ended up breaking it, unfortunately the DSL modem is downstairs so I couldn't get online unless I used my parents PC which they are strict about. Anywho, due to the fact that I wasn't really interacting with any other character in the story I didn't really 'rush' to get my connection back, but hope you guys understand. *bow*, but now I have my connection back][

(I'm still here, but still sleeping.... So I can't do anything. Where's Icarii? She has the chance to pull everyone back in. As do you Maker, James is waiting outside, he could go get somebody too. Even with Eric there. Sorry if this sounds rude, it's not meant to be.)

((Alright, folks, we sort of figured out the problem and a temporary solution. Icarri's at her dorms now, and for some reason the internet proxy there won't let her post here in the guild. I'm going to be playing post messenger so that we can keep the story rolling.))
Icarii Enchanter WolfStar
As Amara turned to leave, Rainer glared at her back. Excitement evaporated, anger smoldering in her white-gold eyes, she turned back to James. Putting on a bright smile for him, she nodded.

"Okay. Where's Isaac and Erec and that other SeeD? I'll check if they're already in there, then I'll go clean up."

Just as Rainer turned to leave, Erec and another man burst in upon the scene. Rainer could only watch as words were exchanged. With a sickening thud, bone connect with bone and street. Rainer moved her hands to cover her mouth, but saw the blood on her hands and thought better of it. When James sat Erec on the bench, Rainer ignored their chatter. She reached out a hand and touched Erec lightly on the forehead.

Cure.

Satisfied, Rainer stood straight and smiled at the two men.

"Well, I'm gonna go in and tell Amara we're going training and I'll check if the others are in there and I'll go get a room and I'll go get ready and I'll be back out in an hour." With that, Rainer strode into the Cybele Sterre, receiving both a key and a strange look from Luke. As Rainer passed by Amara's room, she noticed the door was open. Rainer tentatively knocked before calling out.

"Um, Amara, we're going training in an hour. If you want to come, we'll be meeting outside."

With that, Rainer went to find her room. Upon entering, she laid her gunblade carefully upon the desk before discarding her filthy clothes and stepped into the shower. After cleaning up, Rainer dressed in a plain black shirt with the SeeD emblem emblazoned on the sleeves, black slacks, brown, leather boots and set aside a pair of clean gloves for later.

A quick glance at the clock informed her that she had about half an hour left. Humming quietly to herself, Rainer brushed out the knots and snarls of her hair before plaiting it neatly. She grimaced at the white hair. Familiar tingling welled up in her hands. The power begged to be released, begged to help her. Not quite sure if it was safe, Rainer let the power do as it wanted. Immediately, green energy traveled from her hands and into her hair. Rainer bit her lip. The green traveled up the length of her hair and ended at the roots. For a moment, her hair was a mass of green energy. Finally, the glow faded and her hair was black. Rainer blinked in surprise. Black again! Smiling triumphantly, Rainer thought about her eyes. However, there was no tingle of power this time.

"What do you think you're doing?"

At the sound of the Highest's voice, Axis stopped cold in his tracks. He slowly turned around. The Highest was in the form of Squall Leonhart today. Axis mildly considered the irony.

"I asked you a question," he said coldly. Stormy sea-blue eyes clashed with calm blue eyes.

Grinning lopsidedly, Axis gestured about the room. The beer and bread from earlier had pooled and were giving off an unpleasant odor; clothes were strewn haphazardly about the room, creating little mountains; shards of glass and pieces of electronics covered almost the whole floor; blood was smeared across the walls where Axis had punched them.

"What does it look like?"

Wham! The Highest backhanded Axis. Axis calmly wiped away the blood dribbling from his thin lips. He rubbed the blood between his long fingers and held it up in front of Squall's eyes.

"Was that really nec--" Another backhand to the face silenced him.

"I see that you are disturbed from the meeting this morning," Squall said patiently. "See that your attitude is better tomorrow morning, or I'll fix it for you."

Axis arched a brow but said nothing as Squall disappeared out the door.

Right then.

Axis calmly picked up a small black bag and crossed the room barefoot. Opening the glass doors that led to the balcony, he stepped out and observed the scene before him. His room, situated in the back of the Garden, had a scenic view of the ocean and several continents receding into horizon. The water below churned in the wake of the massive Garden. Axis calmly stepped upon the railing and swayed for a moment before finding his balance. Taking a breath, he junctioned one hundred Waters to his Elem-Def-J, allowing him to draw health from water. Releasing his breath, he let himself fall forward, toward the churning waters.

Leviathan.

A huge column of water shot out of the water. Taller than the Garden itself, the column writhed and solidified into a colossal sea serpent. Leviathan. It's snakelike body, covered in smooth cerulean and sea green skin, blended perfectly with the water. Leviathan's immense body slowly fell back into the water, sending out gigantic waves like ripples from a stone. The Garden, already moving from the serpent, rocked in the large waves.

Leviathan.

The giant serpent turned it's blue eyes up toward its falling master plummeting toward it.

Catch me.

Leviathan breathed out a mist from its pointed maw. The unnatural mist pillowed Axis' fall and slowed him sufficiently enough to land safely and comfortably behind Leviathan's clawed pectoral fins. Axis settled himself there like it was perfectly normal to fall out of the sky and land on a behemoth of the sea.

Where to, Master?

Cold, blue human eyes met cold, blue serpentine eyes.

Estharian continent.

Leviathan stared at its master for a moment.

So be it.

Leviathan dove under the water. Axis couldn't breathe. He was rapidly losing health. Then his Elem-Def-J kicked in and he quickly made up for the lost health. This way, he and Leviathan could travel to Esthar quickly and efficiently without having to surface every time Axis needed oxygen.

Unbeknownst to Axis and Leviathan, stormy sea-blue eyes watched them leave. Those eyes promised death.

Amara's head raised abruptly at the sound of Rainer's voice; a deep hiss threatened to surface from the depths of her throat, yet with greatest self-restraint she managed to keep herself deathly quiet as the girl spoke. The Galbadian nodded slowly as Rainer informed her of their training date, and pulled herself to her feet, momentarily pausing to stretch her lithe body in a cat-like demeanor. The raven-haired SeeD carried herself directly into the shower, washing her hair until it fell against her hips in damp ropes of black and red.

She was accustomed to neglecting her appearance because of her former days as a soldier for Galbadia; such missions were never forgiving and never allowed time to relax and rejuvenate. However, this was a completely different lifestyle she was now living--as a SeeD, she could enjoy such freedom, even if it seemed unnecessary at times. After drying off, the girl donned her black mini-dress and red duster, pulling on her ankle boots and polishing her glaive.

Amara ran her fingers over the side of the sharpened blade, satisfied at the sudden burst of adrenaline and the few droplets of blood at touching her weapon. The small clots trickled down her knuckle and she stopped it with a quick swipe of napkin, casting a half-hearted cure upon her limb before her golden eyes swiveled towards her wrists. With a scowl she saw the twin marks marked upon her skin permanently--two plain x's carved straight into her flesh--and fought the bubbling surge of anger as she pulled her gloves over trembling hands.

Damn it.

No time to be sentimental, Amara. First you must go to meet with the other SeeDs, correct?

Always the heartless one, Diablos.

Emotions are a vice, girl. You were much more efficient in the past, when you lacked such hindrances. You would do good to reduce yourself to a weapon rather than a human. Humans die, don't they?

Amara bit her lip in frustration, nodding in compliance to Diablos's hissing words. She pulled her glaive to her side and departed through the opened door of her room, venturing outside with not so much as a glance toward any passersby who looked upon her with vaguest interest. Finding James and the others was any easy enough task, as she followed the abrupt burst of adrenaline and panic at the back of her mind which inevitably led to the sorcerer's calm figure and that of Erec, the new SeeD she had encountered earlier.

Amara regarded them both with a stiff nod, crossing her arms so that her glaive was directly before her as she stood and waited.

((Not sure where Erec disappeared to, and I'm getting bored. I'm gonna figure something out.))

"Feeling any better?" James asked Amara with a half-hearted chuckle, "You finally showered. That's not something we normally have the pleasure of doing when we're so far from home. Or when we're at home, come to think of it. The Gardens tend to keep us busy."

He stood up and stretched, reaching his arms high into the air and arching his back slightly. It was a pleasant feeling and a sickening noise; his entire back, from hips to shoulders, popped as though someone were playing a xylophone. And with a half-amused grin he turned to Amara.

"In your schooling, Amara," James felt like testing her knowledge, "How much were you taught about the Guardian Forces?"

||Okay, guys. this is getting kind of sticky. I'm unable to post in the guild at school, so I'm having Maker repost my replies in here. For the moment, is it alright if we just post in the thread? That's a lot of extra work Maker won't have to do. It'd also be easier for everyone to just be together. Please tell me if you think that's a good idea. Oh, and Maker, you already have Bahamut, right?||

Sighing, Rainer admitted defeat. Her eyes just weren't going to change color. That was too bad. She missed her green eyes. But oh well. Glancing at the clock, Rainer was alarmed to see that she was five minutes late.

Aw, crap.

Rainer jumped up from the stool in front of the mirror and grabbed her DragonStar before rushing out the room. She stuffed the keys in her pocket and burst out the door.

Before exiting, she checked with Luke. Isaac was in the building. Getting the directions to his room, Rainer flew downt the hallway and threw open the door, forgetting to knock. There the slug was, sleeping on the bed.

"Get up, lazy slug!" Rainer shouted, jumping on his bed. She bounced up and down for a moment, just to be sure he woke up. "We're going sparring, and you're coming, no matter what!"

Just for good measure, Rainer softly rapped him on the head several times. "Wake up!" Satisfied, Rainer hopped out of the room and burst outside.

"Bossman! So sorry!" Rainer halted just in front of him, totally ignoring the Galbadian. "I lost track of time..." Her hair was in loose wisps, flying about her hair. She smoothed them back out of her face.

"Are we still waiting, or are we just going to go?"

Isaac was awake at the first bounce, he was trying to stay on his right side so his arm wouldn't get landed on. "Ow, Rainer I'm-" She smacked him in the head. He thought of kangaroo kicking her, but he would save it for later. He was thrilled when he heard they were going to spar, he would get his chance. "Rainer, you loser! I'm gonna kick your butt all up and down those grounds!" He yelled almost playfully. He swiveled out of bed and hopped over to his vest and everything else he had taken off. He put them back where they were to be and ran after Rainer.

(Hurriedly, for I have to go to school!!!!)

Glassy golden eyes narrowed in subtle annoyance at James's attempt at humoring her--Amara was not one for light, frivolous conversation, yet she did her best to keep herself apathetic for fear of appearing overly hostile towards the sorcerer. Flipping her slightly damp locks behind her shoulders, she held her glaive against her hip as she overlooked James's first question and sought to address his second.

Guardian forces?

Amara's "training" had been limited for fear of over-exposure to the residents of her previous Garden. In short, the girl had been basically confined to the raw physical combat of the army itself, and the occasional survival lessons, as well as lessons regarding magic use--especially the latter, as she had such unnaturally adept prowess. As for learning of Guardian Forces...well, as far back as she could remember, Diablos had always been junctioned to her. Her memories were faulty, and yet none had bothered to teach her anything further; all she knew were the abilities she learned through utilizing her own Guardian for so long.

"I know what I learn from Diablos," She finally replied, watching him carefully as she spoke, "He has been a part of me for years. He learns new abilities and grows just as if he were a human SeeD, and I have learned many from him, as well."

Mentally, the Guardian purred with bestial contentment; Amara knew that he, too, saw their symbiotic relationship as one in which both have undoubtedly benefited. She, of course, would always be the one to suffer from it, with the loss of her memory and the pain that came with her frequent use of Darkside.

((I don't see a problem with that. If it would allow us to continue the story, then sure. Can I make a suggestion, though? We'd want to remake that thread, Icarii. Remake it with everything that's posted on the first page, and then we can simply pick up where we're at over there. It would allow people to join the story without having to join here and read through everything first.

And as for Bahamut, he's still my choice for a second GF. I haven't gotten him in the story yet, though. Why?))

"Very interesting." James said more to himself, musing over the thought, "Would you object to a second companion? Another voice inside your head? If you are going to travel with us, we ne--"

His thought broke off in mid-sentence when Rainer came barreling outside. He couldn't help but chuckled when she apologized because she was running late again. Yes, again. She seemed to do it a lot. But never once did James complain. He cared not for waiting a little longer.

"You're fine, Rainer, you're fine." He finally found his voice again, naming off the Guardian Forces in his head and deciding which ones would be best suited for his students, "We can leave now if you'd like, although I don't think Isaac would take very kindly to it. I have some ideas as to where we could go next as well, if you'd care to here them. With the garden gone, there isn't much point in hanging around."
