Irene smiled at him. "Great, let's go then. I can't take a madman down alone you know. And if we're late, then he'll kill the town up in the mountains." Irene started walking. "We can talk while we walk!"

Irene laughed. "You're funny. I was talking about a different madman." She joked. Then she spoke a bit more serious. "The one that killed my family."

"Well...i am a reaper. that is why i need to get to the outpost. that person needs to be reaped before his soul wanders." Karu said reluctantly. he put his head down.

Her ears lowered at the mention of a reaper. 'He shouldn't have said anything about that.' she thought to herself. "Do you reap just humans, or do you reap creatures as well?" she asked, her hand clenched into a fist.

Linka shook her head. "I won't attack. I just need to know if you've reaped any creatures like me." she really didn't have any real reason to attack him. She just wanted to find out if her race was truly extinct or not.

Karu nodded again. "Yes, most of them acctually. some are still out there, wandering souls lost of there bodies." Karu was in shame. He didn't even want to share himself with these others but he had already blurted it out.

Linka sighed. 'Too many...' she thought to herself.
"Well, perhaps we should make haste with this quest?" she said, after a moment of silence. "I'd rather not have another wandering soul on the planet." she turned back to Karu and asked. "Will you walk or will we fly?"

She quirked a brow and began to stride forward with little effort to catch up to him. It was odd. She seemed fascinated by this being. He didn't have much to him, but she was still amused. Maybe she'd pry more into him, find out what really makes him tick.
-How long ago was your last reaping of my kind?- her voice penetrated his mind, she used telepathy to speak, just to see what reaction she could get from him. -And no need to speak, just think your answer and I'll be able to read it just fine.- It was obvious Linka had little regard to boundries.

Karu thought In the last year alone. And keep a boudary to my personal thoughts. i like my privacy. He continued walking.

Linka shrugged. -You can keep a boundry on them yourself. Just whenever you think I'm getting too close to something you don't want me to know, think of a brick wall and I'll back off.- she said. -It works that way with all telepathy.-
She ducked her head to avoid a tree branch. -Was it male or female?- she asked again. A thought occured to her. And she quickly at to apologize. -I'm sorry if these are a lot of questions. But I need toknow the state my people are in right now.-
