Oh thank heavens. For a moment he visibly relaxed, relieved as any man would be to know that the woman hadn't gone totally berserk and taken the poor man apart. However - it was there he was mistaken in taking his comfort, for sure enough with the soft snicker snack of a knife - there went an ear. Most likely it would be the other one next time, a nose the time after that, or lord knows what else she might decide to go butcher upon.
A shudder ran down his spine. "That's insane - please tell me he had the common sense to refuse...There are other fish in the sea, after all, so please humor me in saying he didn't go back..."

LP shook her head, "Ah If I did it wouldn't be the true story."
"After the full moon and after his ear had healed, Prince Croutney had begun to get rather grumpy. He only had one good ear now, and people would laugh at the prince as he passed or would mock and make fun of him not understanding he, in his eyes; had met the most beautiful woman and was bound to have her as his Queen.
Two nights before the second full moon Courtney began becoming extreamly rude and mean to his father, yelling at any given opterunity. Calling him names, and further more throwing trantrums. Unfortunate for the young prince on his 21st birthday he was suppose to marry a young women which he could take the throne with. The King had begun bringing in young ladies and trying to introduce them to his son.
But all attempts fails and each woman got cussed, thrown stuff at or threaten until they left." Here LP paused, "On the second full moon the Prince met the woman again, sitting out by the lake they watched the moon as she carved away at animal's limbs. When it came time for the sun to rise the woman took one of Prince Courtney's Fingers, 'Remember the Third full moon, and you're father's death.'"

Poor unhappy soul that Courtney...But Carl said nothing more in regards to what foolish error the boy had made, how the woman would be the death of him and that beauty was only worth so much - hardly worth a limb. Instead he simply nestled up by LP and listened, wondering if it wouldn't be his head taken on the next moon.

Ah yes Courtney was a rather unhappy soul. "About two weeks before the thrid full moon King Courtney's father sent out a plea for help from the people. He said if anyone could find out what was making his son turn so violent; because he had found Courtney now abusing his most beloved animals; that they would be rewarded hansomly." LP continued on as she flipped the page.
"Of crouse slowly no one stepped forward to help or offer a hand, they'd all began to slowly catch fright of the Prince and thought it harmful to their health to be anywhere nigh near him. Of crouse there was one soul, besides that of the Maid's that had enchated powers to make mortals follow them. Which of crouse this one also didn't want to go back and face the king because as last time would had it they ended up being beheaded." LP rubbed her neck and frowned, appernetly something she'd forgotten.
"Which one didn't need enchatment to get through to the Prince had they only known what they were doing. So instead of apporching the King they followed the Prince around much as a Dog would his master. The Prince had begun to get unnevered by such and paused to ask the Lady what she was doing, 'Why nothing but admiring you're handy works.' She was refering to his clothing as she peered at him she realized he had a few parts missing..... 'Why young prince does you're ear and finger go missing?'"

"And he went on to say?" The story really had become fascinating. What would the Prince answer to such a blatant question of his habits? He could lie - but that might be seen through much too easily and give him away. Granted, Carl was sure that the answer was becomming all to obvious to those around him, since it really was impossible to keep such heavy secrets for too long a time.

"Well he replied as followes, 'It's nothing.....' and continued on walking watching the young woman follow him he started to slowly become startled and paranoid. 'What do you want?' He asked looking at her his eyes narrowing. The woman chuckled, 'nothing your majesty, it's more along the lines of what I can do for you.'"
"Of crouse this caught him off gaurd. 'Father sent you didn't he?' The woman shook her head, 'On the contrary you're father hates me.' She said as she stood there looking at the apples. That made the prince pause, 'Do what?'"

LP shoook her head, "Nay and he wasn't expecting what he was about to hear next."
She didn't look at the book for a while as she talked, it was still all the same that was in the book but still, "'Do what? I didn't studder sire. You're father abhores me. Thinks I'm absoultly dreadful.' The woman was putting on a rather good drama act if you ask me. Of crouse she picked up and apple and then bit into it after wards tossing the guy running the stand a few pences.
'Why does father hate you?' The young prince asked looking at her curiously as she started to walk off. 'Now if one was to tell that sercet some one might go running off and telling daddy that I'm back and I have no use for that. I'd like to keep my head thank you.' She replied as she moved along the Bazar.'
'Father doesn't have to know. He'll be dead soon his health is failing.' Well, well, looks like the prince found someone to confied in. Pausing at this the young woman stopped in mid-bite of her apple. Pulling it away from her lips she turned around, 'Tell me how doth ye know that he is in failing health? Ye be not a doctor.'"

The signs probably having been obvious enough, but the woman had indeed asked a good question - as well as had managed to uncover one of the hidden agendas that the prince had since held only to the homocidal wench he so longed. Carl lofted an eyebrow and tried to consider what might have caused her to be hated by the king, if she was at all telling the truth, but came short of anything conclusive - so he could only go on, looking up at LP. "What did he say then? Was his dad really in bad health?"

"Well the prince had been slowly posioning his father, so indeed he did know that his father was in failin health. The woman walked off as the prince blinked, 'Er yeah well, you know how these things are. Son's can tell.....' The woman shurged and walked off, 'If you say so....' she tossed her apple core on a garbage cart as it passed and then contiuned to walk. Wondering if the prince would try and catch up or just let her leave.
Well he didn't think about it at first and let her walk off as he headed back towards the castle."
LP paused looking at carl, "The week before the full moon he decided to go out and look for the young woman. Which it wasn't hard to find her. She showed up in the gardens while he was walking dissapointed, 'lookin for me?' she said as she sat up humming, 'I figured it was only a matter of time before you wanted to talk to me again.'
The prince startled blinked looking at her, 'H-how'd you get in here?' The woman laughed, 'you're sercutiy is very lax, how else could I get in here.' she got up and brushed off her dress, 'now what did you want to talk about?'"

LP laughed, "Of crouse not."
Shaking her head she paused, "Well the prince sighed and sat down on one of the benchs in the garden, 'If I am completely honest with you will you tell me who you are?' His question was one of both desperation and exggeration. 'I suppose I could.' She said softly as she walked over and sat near him on a wall, one foot perched on it infront of her, she was wearing a riding style of clothing.
'Well... there's this woman I've seen only on the full moon, I had to kill my dog because of her but she's so amazing and beautiful.' pausing he looked towards his confinder, 'She wants me to kill my father and become king, and then marry her.'
The woman sighed, 'yes I know her very well. I also have a strong distaste for her.' The prince stared at her blinking, 'who is she? What's her name, I must know.' Rubbing her forhead she sighed, 'Her name is Thistle de Mancer, she's a demoness.'"

LP tutted, "Not all demons are like that...."
"Anyways...... 'Oh,' the prince sounded slightly dissapointed. 'Not much you can do now.... your bethorved to her and your task is almost complete. Figure's my mistress would sucker in another mortal.'
The pince blinked his head snaping over to the woman. 'You're Mistress!?'
The woman paused and then sighed, 'Yes my mistress. I was banned from my kingdom long ago and now serve under her as a grunt, fetching her things from time to time, never really what I wish would happened, but eh. I suppose ti's a living.'
'So you know what I've been doing?'
The woman nodded, 'Aye.' She got up and walked off, 'I'll be pardoning myself now I have this sense that you may call a gaurd or two now that you know....'
'No wait, since you know that maybe you can help me, how do I stop it? What is you're name!? I still have many questions and only a week's left of work. How can I find you again.'
'Tomorrow on the bridge at the river, come close to night fall if you wish to speak to me again.' She said and with that the woman dissapered."
