oh damn, that is the worst. Especially after playing for a long time and then freezing without a chance to save. I thought I'd never beat FFIX the way my first PS2 acted. Why don't you call nintendo??? their number should be on their website.

thatFunkyMonkey ill play a game then all of a sudden itll say "error cannot read disk" Yep, you got one of the faulty ones. The longer that you have the game cube, the less time that occurs when the error appears when playing. You can open the cube and make a few minor adjustments and it will work just like brand new.

There are detailed web sites that will tell you how. Just type in "game cube read disk error" in google and keep trying links until you find a site that tells you about the problem and how to fix it. Most sites will just say "does anyone know what is wrong with my game cube?" and half a dozen idiots will answer with stupid solutions because they won't realize that the problem is a fault in the original hardware configuration. It might take a little while but you will eventually find the site with the intructions you need.
