Georg was in Suikoden 2 & 5 i dont think he is suppose to be Geddoe for one the eyepatch is on the other side of his face and ...(Spoiler)Georg isnt really missing an eye he just wears it to remind him of a mistake i wont go into detail but it explains it in one of the endings of Suikoden 5....
Also is it just me or is Suikoden 3 the longest one in the series im already around 25hrs of gameplay and i just crowned a New Flame Champion...

Also note that Georg was 41 in Suikoden 2 and in his game pic he looks a little wrinkled and kinda like he has seen alot of battles.
Geddoe doesnt really look old at all he is probably in his mid to late 30's but since he has the True Lightning Rune he is stuck at whatever age he was when he got it.
One more thing Georg has obviously aged from Suikoden 5 to 2 so i dont think there is any chance of him having a True Rune.

How did we come to the speculation that Georg is Geddoe?
They don't share the same star - instant speculation killer.

Suikoden III was a long game, I'm not sure if I spent more time on III or V.

Yeah, I heard it's possible. They say something about a certain number of her MAG.

It's unpossible unless you do that level 99 trick, methinks. Dammit, Chris.
At least we know what it looks like, though. I doubt most people would use it anyway, no thanks to the whole... hurting allies with your own magic thing.

Yeah, I never really used her magic unless I really needed to heal and she was the only one left.

Not to mention generally with the 1 spell per tagteam BS you don't really get a chance to (At least for me, the back is always lined with magic users like Sasarai)
And for the record, 3 and 5 will take you the longest to beat, but not because they have the longest stories or anything, it's because of 5's HORRIBLE load times and 3s ridiculous combat animations/not so great load times.

Reading this thread makes me remember what a pain in the a** S3s battle system was...
What was an even bigger pain in the a** was the by putting MAGE ONLY characters (Sasarai) behind some awesome melee dood was like telling them to sit there if you ordered them to attack. What a pain...

S3 is the first one I played, so it will always hold a nice place in my heart, but after playing the others, I have to agree that the battle system was bad, in that your melee characters would do nothing while others did magic. What about if they got in the way? Instant death! No good.

It was a mix of good and bad I guess. There was some interesting stuff they added to combat like the customizable skills, and the bad stuff like chanting time on runes. But the Melee attackers did do stuff. Whoever didn't get to make an action in a team automatically goes in for a melee attack. That can end up messy though if you have to select the non mage to do something, and the weak magic user runs in for its 1 damage (if even) suicide attack.

I disliked how we couldn't equip enough stuff for fighting bosses and stuff.
