"How could I not?"
He responded, then realised she was crying. He looked at Arioch somewhat lost.
"I've just made it worse, didn't I?"
He asked. It was a rhetorical question, he knew he had made it worse at the same time, he would not give the demoness the satisfaction of finding out who the mother of Alexis was, not before the mother herself found out.
"Raven?"
He asked very carefully, taking a deep breath. He had no idea how he'd explain things to her, but seeing her cry like this was something that wasn't right, wasn't the way it should be.

Raven just curled close, feeling an inner peace she hadn't felt in so long...She clung to Song, resting her head against her, barely opening her eyes as she turned to look at Joe, still holding on to Song.
The look she gave was mixed from peace to curiousty.
Arioch stayed by Joe, wanting him to continue. It was better if Raven knew, had some kind of understanding to what was going on. He didn't say anything to Joe when he asked if he made things worse. The evidence was sitting right before him, and shimmering in the girl's eyes.
Raven was afraid to let go of Song but she was listening.

Songs hold on Raven remained strong, but gentle and warm. Her eyes traveled over to Joe, her look to him one of knowing, and she merely nodded to him. She knew that whatever he had to say, now was as good a time as any to say it. For now, she held Ravens heart in a calm state.
She stroked Ravens hair back softly, still focused on keeping her heart at peace and let her find comfort in her arms.

"Stop her from attacking me, ok?"
He asked Arioch quietly, whilst she looked harmless enough, he strongly suspected she'd be out to kill him very soon.
"You've lost part of your memory. It happened because I slept with someone who enjoyed it a little too much and let the love of their life know about it.."
He stopped there for a moment, unsure of how to explain things, but continued.
"He stole your memory, you killed him for it. I told you he killed your family, in truth, he only killed your memory and I am truly sorry I cannot restore what was lost, all I can do is tell you that which you cannot remember"
He looked away then, before looking back at her, waiting for retaliation at his next words.
"Alexis is your daughter"

While Song held her, her urge to kill was missing as she just stared at him. So the feelings with Alexis seemed truer then she thought. Now the truth was out and she heard. She was too relaxed to really do anything except curl up closer to Song's warmth and light.
She still had those mysterious tears in her eyes. "Thank you," she said softly before she closed her eyes, fainting a little. Emotional energy left her more tired then actaully fighting.
Arioch blinked. He smiled a little. "Somehow I don't think she was going to attack whilst Song holds control over her...." He rose to his feet and offered Joe his hand. "Come on...She needs to get out of here and quite frankly I don't trust you on your own right now.."
If Raven felt anything else, it was to be discovered after she woke up..

Song waited till she was sure that Raven was unresponsive, then she stopped her singing on a soft note. Cradling the fainted woman, she lifted her up in her arms, standing in a smooth motion before turning to the men.
"I'll take her home. She needs to rest for a while." She nodded to them, then turned to walk out the door, "Take care of Joe, Arioch. I'll be back in a while." With that, she made her way carefuly to what she knew to be Arioch's home.

He looked at her suprised at her calmness. The entire reason he had not told her earlier is because he feared her wrath both for taking the memories of Alexis from her and for then hiding the truth for so long, long enough to draw it out even longer just to avoid the wrath which he had figured was building up.
"Thank you Song"
He half whispered, almost certain that it was her calming help that kept Raven from reacting badly to the news, before taking Arioch's hand and getting up.
"Why? Its not like anything'll happen if I'm on my own, is it?"
He asked. Sure, there was the odd occasion where being alone could end up being disastrous, but today, he doubted it would be.

Arioch smiled to his muse. "See you soon."
Glancing to Joe he frowned. "You honestly think you will survive on your own agaisnt the likes of her?"
Her, he refered to Dom. He admired his muse's ability to tame one's beast with smply singing. In this chaosy world, it was needed.

"No"
He shook his head. He knew he couldn't stand up to her, but then, he wasn't planning on doing so.
"She's not likely to come back here though"
At least, he hoped she wouldn't, because Arioch was more than right. Hell, he didn't trust himself around her, she had proven how much hold she still had over him.

"How do you know she won't?"
He didn't move from his position. He should have asked Song to stay with Raven at the house but he didn't think serious harm would come from the wolf after this.
"Joe this isn't a game."

He shrugged at the question.
"Wouldn't be like her."
He explained, though even he didn't sound convinced of it.
"If this was a game, I'd be playing it differently, and she wouldn't be able to do that to me"
He didn't sound happy about it, clearly still frustrated at the fact that she had almost gotten to him, almost made him come with her, despite the fact that he was no longer hers to comand.
He wondered then, if she had no power over him and Arioch had, why did she have such an easy time with him?

"People change..."
He reminded his friend. "Shall we get out of this place? Hope tension in the air dies down further by us escaping it?"

He nodded absentmindly, his mind on things of the past and how much he had made a mess of it. He'd follow Arioch blindly, at least until he got his mind sorted out.

He smirked and clasped his arm, walking out of the house with his fellow demon in tow... He'd check up on Raven later....much later...give her time to absorb the info she'd received before she'd past out.
So half the headache was gone. The other half he didn't bother making Joe tell. It was beyond them.

No idea where they've end up.. other than somewhere with a lawn
It hadn't been all that long since the unfortunate visit of his old 'friend' Domenia and even less time had passed since he finally admitted to Raven that she was Alexis mother.
Currently, he was sitting in some grass studying the individual grass blades and still in sight of Arioch, who had gone all paranoid on him and had decided that he could not be trusted on his own.
He frowned. He was perfectly fine on his own, or at least, had been before the demoness had swept back into his life bringing with her a past he had hoped would stay burried forever.
He picked a random grass blade and pulled it out, playing with it between his fingers, trying to find a way out of the mess he found himself in. Domenia had held him in her power in the past, so much so that her presence alone had made him choose the lesser of the two evils and return to Arioch's side once and for all.
That was before he realised that Arioch now no longer trusted him, and he wondered if it had all been worth it. He had BITTEN him! The one thing he hadn't expected and didn't know how to deal with. It had been a reminder of the night he met Domenia and the reminder hadn't been pretty.
He sighed closing his eyes as the memories played past his closed eyes. Memories of finding himself half dead after feeding off a vampire and the lady with the golden eyes, eyes similar to Ariochs, coming and saving him from certain death.
He opened his eyes again, looking at the destroyed bit of grass in his hand, the juice of the blade spilled on it. It was how Domenia had found him, broken and bleeding to death. She had been his angel of grace, his redeemer and instead of finding himself in hell when he awoke again, he found himself in her quarters.
Disgusted with how weak he had been then he threw the grass blade away. If only he hadn't fed on that monster, if only he hadn't had the great idea that Raven would regain her memories without him there, if only.. he had been truthful with her from the beginning.. There were a lot 'if only's' in his life at the moment, one worse than the next.
The 'if only's' continued haunting him for a while longer leading to the conclusion that 'if only' he wasn't incubus, 'if only' his mother hadn't been succubus, his life might actually be normal now instead of ******** beyond all recognition of 'normal'
