Still fuming over the boy's comment about her not looking much like a girl, Miharu ordered Tingle to attack it again, this time the Metang was brandishing its powerful, sharp claws. Even though the Metal Claw attack was rather ineffective, Tingle's body shimmered with a green aura, signifying that its defensive power had been raised.
"Slow it down with Cotton Spore!" the boy yelled. Fluffy the Flaaffy stepped forward and shook its body vigorously, sending out a cloud of fluffy white spores. Tingle blinked at them as they settled around him, having no effect whatsoever.
Miharu smiled - the same thing had happened when Falkner had tried to lower Tingle's accuracy during their gym battle when it was still a Beldum. Tingle sported an ability known as Clear Body, which mean that his stats couldn't be lowered by any means. "Take Down!" the small girl cried, and this time, Tingle's attack hit home, knocking the woolly Pokemon back several feet.

"Suit yourself," Kasiya shrugged, as Hiro, looking a bit dejected, lowered himself so that his trainer could climb onto his back. Kasiya wrapped her arms around the Pokemon's bushy mane, brimming with warmth and comfort. "Okay Fang, it's up to you," she called up to the Crobat, who was apparently trying to chase himself. Hearing his name, Fang snapped back to attention, and flew down, landing purposefully on Hiro's head to await instructions. "Listen up, we're going to be going through a maze here, so we need you to lead the way, all right?" Fang nodded, and gave an affirmative screech, using his four powerful, yet silent wings to lift off and pull him into the sky. "We're counting on you," she added, hoping that using Fang as a scout wouldn't end up being mistake.
Hiro seemed to follow Kasiya's thoughts, eyeing the loopy Crobat with a hint of distrust as the flier went ahead. However, when Fang had found a direction for them to take he took it, not wanting to show the slightest bit of disobedience to his smaller mistress.

"Oh-kay," Keegan sighed, watching the two Pokemon fight like schoolchildren. His plan had been to tire the Geodude out by causing it to become enraged, but this would work too. He couldn't help but laugh and admire Geodude's aim as Althena got a relatively large handful of mud splattered in her face. Althena proved to be rather tenacious herself as she used her psychic abilities to lob a dangerously large ball of mud at the offending Geodude. Splat! Another direct hit. Keegan wondered how much longer this would go on. Althena's yellow, downy feathers were stained with a mucky brown, but it did seem like she was having fun.
Keegan let them exchange several more attacks before he ordered Althena to use one final Confusion. In a blast of teal-coloured light, Geodude was flung back once more, and Keegan gladly took the opportunity to try and capture it once more. This time, he had a Great Ball ready, taking a deep breath as he aimed and let it fly...

The night sky started to lighten up to the new day in Pallet Town. Elizabeth Sonwood jolted up in her bed to the sound of her alarm clock. Yawning, she turned the alarm off and got out of bed. She had an hour before meeting Professor Oak and wasn't in a hurry. She got changed out of her night clothes and into her day clothes before brushing her teeth.
"Today is the day," she said to herself in the mirror, "The day when I get my first pokemon." She brushed her long, black hair before going down stairs to the kitchen table. "Liz, don't forget your bag when you go to see Professor Oak," her mom said, putting some eggs on the table, "I've put some snacks in there for you." Liz thanked her mom and started to eat her breakfest.
~15 minutes later~
Elizabeth waved goodbye to her mom, her bag hanging over her shoulder as she got on her bike. She pettled down the road, passing the mailman doing his deliveries. Liz made sure her bike was tied up to the bike stand. She made her way up the long path that lead to Professor Oak's place. She knocked on the door and waited for someone to come.
Finally the door opened and Professor Oak stood in the door way. "Ah.....Elizabeth, I thought you would have gotten here earlier. Never the less, come in, come in," he said, standing out of the way and motioning her in. Liz smilled and stepped throught the door and Professor Oak led her to a table with three pokeballs on. "You get to choose from Charmander, Squirtle, or Bulbasaur. Take your time because what Pokemon you choose would be with you for a long time," he said with some stearness in his voice.
Elizabeth had already thought this through last night and looked at him, a smile on her face. "I would like the Squirtle, Professor Oak," she said. Professor Oak nodded and handed her a pokeball, along with a pokedex. "Some find Squirtle a little tougher to to master than Bulbasaur and Charmander, but I don't think that would change your mind," he said the stearness in his voice was gone, "The pokedex will help you along your journey. It is full of information and advice about pokemon and their training." Liz looked at the pokedex before tucking it saftely into her bag before looking back kup to Professor Oak.
"Thanks Professor Oak, I'll give the Squirtle a good name and care for it," she said looking at the pokeball. He placed his hand on her shoulder before leading her back to the front door. "Thats good to hear Elizabeth, I know you will take good care of your new pokemon," he said, waving her goodbye. Liz waved back before walking back down the path to where her bike was in the bike stand. She knelt down and released the little squirtle from its pokeball.
"Hi, I'm Elizabeth," she said to the Squirtle. The Squirtle looked up at her, confoused slightly but after a few minutes seemed like the pokemon figured that Liz was its trainer now. "I think I'll call you Kit. Do you like that name?," she asked. The Squirtle nodded and Liz returned Kit into her pokeball. Elizabeth put the pokeball on her belt and untied her bike. Once on her bike, Liz started her way out of Pallet Town to start her new adventure with Kit.

Nitro also warily watched Fang, knowing what the crazy Crobat had done in the past. "Alright, let's follow Hiro." Mike bobbed up and down as the Charizard walked behind the Arcanine, speeding up his steps to get alongside him.
"So, after Koga, who you gonna challenge?" The boy decided to strike up a conversation, glad to be with someone who he could maintain a consistent level of chatting with.

"Ugh." Lyn groaned as she picked the now occupied pokeball off of the ground. "Stupid." She moaned as she begrudgingly clipped it onto her belt. "Come on Amy. I guess we found the drowzee so we should go back to the restraunt." Lyn sighed as she turned toward the city. Amy made a happy squeaking sound and jumped onto her masters back. Within minutes they had reached the restraunt and told the chef their story. She excluded the part about her scream to keep her pride intact.
"That's odd. She has never sttacked anyone like that before. But from the sound of that scream that we heard someones strong emotions must have overpowered her mind becasue of her empathy causing her to go insane temporarily." The chef said scratching his chin.
Lyn laughed nervously, scratching the back of her head and looking away.
"Anyway. Have the other's contacted you yet?"
"No. I don't have a cellphone." Lyn said happy that the subject had been changed.

Heading towards the gym, which wasn't to hard to find Dante found his way blocked by another one of those annoying tree's. "Apollo you know what to do." Way ahead of his trainer Apollo blasted the tree away with a breath of fire. Levi who was running around on the ground between Dante's feet jumped a bit in suprise at seeing the tree get roasted, that didn't stop her from going over to the ashes and rolling around in them though. Sighing Dante shook his head and stepped over his now black Mudkip and headed over to the gym, Apollo following him. Pushing open the door's Dante was greeted by thte sight of a bunch of buckets on the ground that kinda looked like trashcans. Shrugging, all ready knowing a bit about this puzzle Dante pulled out Kenny's pokeball with a grin. Tossing it out to reveal the cute little ghost pokemon, upon being released Kenny floated over to his trainer.
"All right Kenny. You see all those trashcan like things?" He said motioning to the bins. Kenny looked over at them before turning back to Dante and nodding. "Well there is something inside some of them that will turn off that electric fence over there. I need you to find them since you can phase through the cans."
Kenny looked back at the cans and then the electric fence. "Muphly mun umpblh."
"Yes I know that Bahamut can just cut off a side of the electricity but I want to save her for the gym battle." Dante said tiredly. He was a bit supprised that he had figured out what he was saying. Kenny only gave him a look before going and doing as he was told.

Orlando extended his claws out and perpared to attacked. Nick looked around where Orlando could attack from and see tall grass that is taller then his charmander. Nick yells "Go into the tall grass and get behind the pidgey."
Charmander nodded and slided into the tall grass. The wind was blowing enough so the grass would move and hide the movement of Orlando. Pidgey hover over the grass trying to see where the Charmander went to. Orlando jumped out of grass a slashed at the back of Pidgey. Pidgey wasnt paying attence behind it and was sent crashing down to earth.
Pidgey stood up trying to regain her sight. She felt like she just went through dryer. Orlando weaved through the grass like a Vaporeon in water, Pidgey realize it was in trouble and tried to fly back up. but she couldn't due to the last attacked. Orlando attack with another swipe of his claws to the chest fo Pidgey. Pidgey wasn't ready for the attack and was sent flying out of the tall grass. Pidgey skidded to a stop couple feet infront of Nick.
Orlando came out of the tall grass claws ready to slash and dice the little pidgey. when Orlando appeared out of tall grass, Pidgey bring back its wings and begin to flap back and forth to make sand storm. Orlando wasn't ready for that and got eye full of sand. Orlando brushed the sand the best he could from his eyes. The pidgey begin to flap it wings to bring air to perform gust.
Orlando was still trying to get the sand out of his eyes and was hit directly with the gust. Orlando was knocked to his back by Nick.
Nick says "Orlando finish this now!"
Orlando stood with blood shot eyes from the sand and extened its claws to finish off this little pidgey once and for all.

While Kenny was looking through trash can's Levi had decided to 'help' as well. The tiny now black Mudkip ran over to one of the bins and jumped into it, when she landed inside there was a small click and the top half of the electric fence was diabled. Catching sight of this Dante blinked and looked down to where Levi was playing in the trash can. "Hello." He said before walking over to where the small Mudkip was. "My you did a good job there Levi. I might buy you a treat for this." He said with a smile as he picked her up out of the trash can ignoring the fact that his hands were now black as well. Upon hearing this Levi gave a happy cry in his hands and wiggled around some. "All right see if you can find the next switch." He said setting the baby pokemon down.
Not really understanding Levi just went to the trash can next to it and jumped in that one. Another click could be heard and the bottom half of the electric fence fell. "You must be the luckiest little Mudkip." Dante comented as he picked her up again, and set her down. "How about you clean yourself up so that you look all pretty for when we see the gym leader?" He sudjested. Kenny seeing that the fence had fallen floated over to Dante and gave him a slightly annoyed look before putting himself back in his pokeball.

The cowboy blinked for a moment before he realized what was happening. A cold feeling coursed through his body, as if something had just moved directly through him. The Shadow Ball had also knocked him a foot or two up into the air.
Kilik winced then looked at his spiraling Pokemon. "Attack with Giga Drain while you're in the air!" he called.
With a nod, Lombre tilted his head forward and shot out six clear orbs towards Haunter. While the orbs flew towards their victim, the frog landed on the ground with a slight splash and hopped back a few inches.

Hearing that they were going to meet someone new Levi lifted up her head and sprayed water up into the air effectively cleaning all the soot off of her. Done with that she started to run towards the area were the electric door had been. Just as she was about to run through it an older man stopped her by putting his cane out in front of her causing her to stop suddenly. Frowning slightly Dante crossed the gym, Apollo trotting along behind him, so that he was facing the man who had stopped Levi. "Let me guess I can't get in there without beating you in a battle?"
"Well that, and I was going to say that this is no place for a little water pokemon to be playing." He said pulling his cane back so that it was at his side.
"That is isn't. However she does need to get some more experience with battles, and she is very young it isn't good for her to be in the pokemon so much." Dante commented back kind of liking the older gentleman in front of him. Going over he picked Levi up from the ground and held her securely in his arms. "As for the battle, how does a one on one sound? I would like to challenge the Lieutenant by the end of the day."
Tipping his had slightly the Gentleman took a few steps back. "That sounds all right to me as well." Picking a pokeball out from his belt he tossed it out to reveal a Pikachu.
Not wanting to use Shiva, Kenny, Bahamut or Apollo for this battle Dante looked over to Meowth and gave him a grin. Going over he plucked the cat off of Apollo's back and set him down. "Win this for me Meowth and you wont have to battle the Lieutenant later."
Upon hearing that the cat pokemon figured that this was a pretty good deal. "All right then." He said as he let his claws out facing the Pikachu, his long time enemy. Besides it was a good chance to test his skills out against a different Pikachu.

Orlando runs toward the weaken Pidgey and fakes like he wa going to scratch wiht his left claw but quickly scratch with the right. The Pidgey was trying to avoid the left claw and wasn't paying attention to the right claw. the right claw slashed the pidgey right into a tree. Critical hit, the pidgey slided down the tree slowly and it was out cold. Orlando paint slowly after the fierce battle with little bird. Nick holds out Orlando's Pokeball "Come back Orlando!"
Orlando came back and nick says to the pokeball "Good job Orlando that was hard fought battle."
Nick put the pokeball back on his belt. Nick put his hand in the pockets of his grey hoody and strolled back to his bike. Nick unlocked the bike and rides over logs and small rocks. Nick stopped when he reached the dirt road and took a sip of water from his bottle.

Elizabeth slid to a stop on her bike as she grabed Kit's pokeball. "Come on out Kit," she said, releasing the pokemon from its ball. The squirtle looked up at Liz, than around it surroundings. Kit jumped up into a basket that Elizabeth made sure to put on her bike. Elizabeth than started going down the dirt road again as Squirtle looked at the surrounds go by.
~five minutes afterwards~
Elizabeth stopped the bike and put down the kick stand. Kit jumped out of the basked as Liz tied the bike to a tree to make sure no one would steal it. Liz had stopped because she had heard a pound was not to far from there and figured that would be a good place to see how good Kit could swim. Liz started to walk and the Squirtle followed not to far behind her when they heard a russle in the bushes. A ratata leapped out of the bushes and looked at them before showing them its yellow teeth.
"Lets get those muscles moving Kit," she said as the Squirtle got infront of her, "Use Tackle." The Squirtle ran towards the rat type pokemon to tackle it. Kit was able to hit the Ratata and set the rat type pokemon back alittle. The Ratata got up before using Tackle back. Kit braced itself as the Ratata tackled him. "Quick returned with Tackle," Liz said.
The squirtle nodded before running towards the Ratata, hitting it since it was still close from it using Tackle on Kit. The ratata skidded back and taking this chance, Kit took a breath of air, watching the ratata. The ratata stood up, showing its yellow teeth again before running towards Kit. The Ratata's tail hit Kit when it used tail whip. Kit's defense went down but Kit returned with Tackle once again, makeing sure to try and hit the ratata on the side to get more damage.
The ratata once again skidded to a stop and got up slowly. Once again, the Ratata used tail whip on Kit. Kit's defense went down again as she postion herself to hit the Ratata's side again, using Tackle. Once gotten the spot, the squirtle ran towards the rat type pokemon, knocking its opponet down. This time the Ratata tried to get up, but fell back down.

"Well we will see about my downfall." Mag said already liking this gym leader. She seemed very determined to give it her all so he would too. Shining rolled to the edge of her small circular platform avoiding the Water Gun completely though the platform was now a little more slick. Then she turned to face the enemy. "Tackle!" Mag said hoping she would be able to get out of the water.
Man it would have been a great idea to do some water training earlier with Tsunami. Mag thought as he took in her comment about swimming. Shining charged forth but not in a Tackle as commanded but in the much greater Quick Attack. Shooting over top the water with much greater speed she aimed directly at the Staryu.

A tacky smile pulled at M.A.'s lips as she watched Ky bow and give the 'lady' such graces -- it did seem kind of funny that he should do so, being pretty young. Those mannerisms were subtly dramatic in such a cute way when he used them. Not to mention, he wasn't so very tall compared to the lanky girl he faced, either; it wasn't so much that she was older than him, as there must be only a year or so between the two, but the girl was just tall by constitution. Nevertheless, M.A. couldn't help but think that Ky was such an adorable boy -- like a little brother, almost, if she had one.
Somewhere, she heard a shout to the skies that vaguely sounded like it might've been Crenu. Something about power? Huh, she had no idea where he was, either. He was nowhere in sight when she spun around on her toes, scanning the area. Well, she wasn't sure what was up, but she didn't worry too much about him -- he could take care of himself, she could tell when she looked at him.
Ulani looked at the Beedrill quizzically, as if wondering what in the world he might be doing, yanking at the air as if something were there. She did catch the "intimidating" look the Bug-type shot at her, however, but its effects were rather contrary to their original purpose. Rather than getting scared, Ulani got cheekier, and stuck out a teasing little tongue from her small white beak. But at the same time, the slightest shade of seriousness set into her eyes as she realized that this was a genuine battle. Well, a very, very slight shade at that.
"Let's start if off with. . . Astonish, 'Lani!" The blue bird moved swiftly and zipped out of view for just a moment before showing up behind the Beedrill, hurling itself towards it with a small element of surprise.
