You know you're a British Doctor Who fan when you hate the word 'Whovian'. twisted
But, playing along...
...when you reorganise your shelves every few weeks because you can't decide if your books should go in the order they were written and released or the order in which they occur in the Doctor's life.
...when you've printed out mock-DVD covers for the Big Finish CDs so they can look right next to your actual DVDs. And done the same with the new series DVDs to make them accord with the classic series ones. And run out of ink while doing this sort of thing.
...when you hold, or have held, a strong opinion about both the pre-Hartnell faces in The Brain of Morbius and on which decade the UNIT stories take place in.
... You've been curious about seeing the Katy Manning/Dalek photos and then strangely disapointed when you do.
...You've corrected people for calling the character 'Doctor Who' (but felt vaugely guilty while doing so about concealing the few bits of TV evidence that he is called that).
...Lazy comedians doing 'Daleks can't climb stairs' jokes provoke you to violent rage.
...Had conflicted loyalties when Bonnie Langford and John Barrowman were up against each other on Dancing on Ice.

Richard_Swift ...Had conflicted loyalties when Bonnie Langford and John Barrowman were up against each other on Dancing on Ice. Have to admit, I was guilty of that too. I tended to text a vote for John and phone one for Bonnie (or vice versa!)

That shouldn't have happened sweatdrop As RTD says in the Confidential for that episode: Quote: If you'd been trapped in a frame for a thousand years, and you suddenly got a body - and a very sexy body with Rose Tyler's body - you'd want to snog someone! And she can't stand the Doctor! He killed her! But nevertheless, he's there, he's handsome, she has a bit of it!

A variation:
You know you're an old school fan if you talk about the Ninth Doctor, the Tenth Doctor, etc.
You know you're a newblood fan if you talk about Nine, Ten, etc.
I think I actually prefer the newblood terminology, but can't bring myself to part with the Old Ways. sweatdrop

If you've ever gasped suddenly for no apparent reason and when someone asks whether you're alright you reply "Just a... twinge of cosmic angst"

Being Welsh myself, one of the many nice things about NewWho's international popularity is everybody suddenly knowing what 'Welsh' is. smile
