Coen laughed and gently tweaked Jazz's nose. "You know, stubbornly denying your cuteness just makes me think you're that much more adorable." razz

"Argh!!" He exclaimed, covering his face with his small hands and flopping sideways onto the bed. "I am not cute! Not at all!" He attempted to pout again but couldn't help but giggle. "You're cute, though," he said, his bright blue eyes peering up at his love.

Instead of denying his own cuteness, Coen decided to change tack and said instead, "Well of course I am. But you're still way cuter than me." Then he pulled the little mousie close and kissed him soundly, hoping to stop the protests even before they started.

Jazz stuck his tongue out at the lion at the response, and opened his mouth to reply but froze as Coen's lips pressed against his. He wrapped his arms around his love, returning the kiss, the need to say how cute he wasn't completely vanishing from his thoughts.

Immensely pleased with Jazz's reaction to his kiss, Coen found himself shifting slightly, moving to cover the smaller hybrid's body with his own but then he heard it...
"Jaa-azz! Coooo-enn!" Eli called in a sing-song voice, traipsing down the hall. "I want Jazz to make pancakes for breakfast!"
"Damn damn damn," Coen muttered, scowling over at the doorway. Then he turned back to Jazz and smiled faintly. "We should get up. He'll only get louder as time goes on," he explained. Then he dipped his head for one last kiss. "We'll continue this later."

The mousie nodded absent-mindedly, still caught up in the kiss even after it had ended. He blinked several times as he floated back down to earth, and opened his mouth to agree when he was caught in another kiss. "Okay, kitty cat," he said with a dreamy smile, his mind off in the clouds again. He regained his senses quicker than before, however, and got up out of the comfy bed, tail flicking as he gathered up his flowing lavender garments and began to hastily throw them on, tossing the lion's clothes to Coen afterwards. "Pancakes, bacon, and eggs?" He asked, just to make sure.

Coen lounged idly, watching while Jazz dressed. Odd how the mouse could look sexy putting his clothes on. Too caught up in observing his 'prey', Coen nearly caught his own clothes with his face but he managed to lift a hand in defense just in time. "That sounds right," he said with a smile, getting to his feet and tugging his tunic on over his head. Then he moved up behind Jazz and kissed the side of his neck. "I'll go control the brat."
At that precise moment, 'the brat' was filling his lungs for another bout of yelling when suddenly he spotted Coen. Laughing, Eli launched himself at the lion, clinging to his shirt front and scaling the mountain of a hybrid. "Where's Jazz, huh Coen? I wan' 'im to make me breakfast. His food is yummy!"

The little mouse shivered as he felt the lion's lips on the side of his neck, not expecting that at all. He managed to recover quickly, however, and followed the lion out of the room. "I'm right here, Eli! And I'll get right on making you some pancakes, okay? Would you like bacon and eggs too, or is Coen the only one that wants them?"

"Oh, he'll eat anything if it's set down in front of him," Coen answered before Eli could open his mouth. The lion knew what the little one was going to say anyway. The foxchild never turned down food.
Eli pouted at Coen for a moment, disappointed the lion had stolen his thunder, but he recovered soon enough and settled himself on Coen's shoulders, bushy blue tail waving from side to side and a big grin splitting his face.

Jazz giggled, his tail twitching a bit. "Okay, bacon, eggs, and pancakes it is! I hope you're both hungry!" The little mouse explained with another giggle before hurrying downstairs to begin to prepare breakfast. He paused at the bottom of the stairs, so he peered up them to call to the hungry hybrids. "What kind of pancakes should I make?"

Coen chuckled lightly, wondering who seemed more eager: Eli or Jazz. Shaking his head, he started down the stairs after the mouse, pausing when he heard him shout. "What kind would you like, Eli?" he asked, turning his head so he could peek up at the child.
Eli thought this over long and hard, even going so far as to tap a tiny paw against his chin. Then he brightened, drew in a deep breath and shouted back, "Choc'late chip!"

With a giggle, Jazz rushed to the kitchen. "How did I know you would say that?" He asked loudly, mostly to Eli even though he was unsure if the smaller hybrid would be able to hear him. He pulled out a multitude of cooking utensils; bowls, pans, spoons, etc. Rummaging through a couple of cabinets he found some pancake mix and chocolate chips, and placed them on the counter, then he searched through the fridge for some eggs and milk, and set himself to make breakfast for the three of them.

"'Cause you're be..bea...'cause you're pretty and you know things like that," Eli supplied from atop Coen's shoulders as the lion stepped into the kitchen. His way wasn't as smooth as the way Coen had put it but he got the gist of it.

The mouse hybrid blushed at the compliment. "Aww, thank you, Eli! You're so sweet. Would you like to lick the pancake spoon when I'm done with it?" He asked, peering over his shoulder at the small hybrid as he spoke, still preparing their breakfast. "It'll even have some chocolate chips on it, I think!"

Coen hid a smirk by bending down to set Eli on a chair. Maybe he should have the foxchild work as an agent for him. The compliment he had fed the kid had certainly worked, judging by the color in Jazz's cheeks.
Eli opened his mouth to tell Jazz that Coen had told him to say it but at the mention of getting to lick the spoon, he conveniently forgot and, instead, chirped, "Oh yus, p'ease!!"
