((So true, so true.. *Sigh* I just got home from a 9 hour day. Pheh. Retail is teh suxxors. *Sigh*))
"Nice to meet you, too, classmate." Annie smiled at the guy while she spoke to him. The student used a scythe, strangely enough, and the guy most likely had some sort of training with it. She on the other hand only had Zenmaru's constant smackings to bring up her skill level. Her smile remained, though, since her brother seemed to be smiling at her. "Enguard!"
Her sword (from the previous post) was still raised. She quickly took a few steps forward, toward Haro, and chopped downward with her wooden sword with both of her hands. "Ha!"

The teacher's smile quickly turned to a frown as he watched his sibling run off toward Haro. Stupidity. Annie was not embodying the traits of a true Ugu clanswoman, and was not practicing self-awareness. She was simply rushing in to get her head smashed open by Haro's exotic weapon. So he frowned as he watched his little sister begin her self-caused pain.
His eyes turned to Haro's weapon, then, as his sister slashed her sword downward. A double scythe. Quite the exotic tool to train with. Haro was either challenging himself with a new weapon, or he was steadfast with that weapon choice. Either way, the weapon would cause certain ailments and would also possess certain boons to the user. Hm.
Firstly, with a scythe, not a lot of shinigami know how to block one. His sister knows how, for sure, but not a lot of other shinigami do. The curved bottom half would also be fairly difficult to dodge if Haro went in with a quick double stab. Along with those two points, dodging a thrown scythe like that would most probably be a fairly fatal affair for the dodgee. It's a fairly unique weapon.
It does, however, have its drawbacks. It's short ranged, or at least shorter ranged than that of a regular zanpakutou. Haro's dual-scythe also requires him to have an edge pointing in the opposite direction of his original aiming stabbing/slashing zone. The opposite pointing edge would likely cause some pain to Haro if one of his opponents ever tries to push a blocked hit into him.
But, still, it's a fairly unique weapon. Ugu would note this person on creativity, and give marks to him for it.

Haro grinned as he watched Annie come in towards him, running in. He had an interesting weapon compared to her, yet she didn't assess it before she attacked. He shook his head slowly and he thrusted his scythe upwards towards the slash coming down towards him. But as soon as it was raised and the block was complete, he spun both arms, sending the scythe into a rotation, the top blade of the wooden weapon coming streight down towards her face.
Dodge: 1d20 + 15 (no role needed)

Her bokken was blocked, and her opponent was on the offensive. She, upon seeing the rapid turn from defensive to offensive, took to the offensive by bringing her wooden blade down to defend against the spinning blow. And it was easily blocked, quite easily, by her placing her bokken before the oncoming scythe.

(Incorrect. You always need to roll your dodge bonus. If for any reason you roll a 1, it means you failed the dodge, regardless of how high your dodge bonus is. There is never a reason to not roll. The same with attack. Even if you think you make it, you may roll a 1, and fail the attack. Rolls are necessary. You have to roll for your dodge. :3)

Haro breathed in deeply, seeing the ease that she was able to black his attack with, he had unerestimated her then. He narrowed his eyes as he smirked slightly and he twisted his entire torso, pivotiung on his right foot as he swung the entire weapon around with him and brought it down towards the back of her knee with the first attack.
After that attack he continued the momentum of it around, his arms spinnign without his torso now and causing the double sythe to rotate, sending the second blade's back towards his opponent. But that was not what he wanted so as he spun it towards her he flipped it with his hands and the blade was now exposed, this attack was sent towards her spine, moving upwards like an uppercut.

Her left foot lifted, narrowing dodging the blow aimed at its taller companion. She then continue with that step in order to shift out of the way of the attack aimed at her spine. By moving she shifted away from Haro's attack.
She quickly regained her composure after her feet graced the ground that used to be where her opponent was only moments ago. Annie kept her sword stiff in her hands ready for the next movements of Haro's odd scythe. "Nice weapon," her smile dwindled, though, because she saw her brother's frown.

Raven's eyes narrowed and he looked at her through the slitted eyes as she dodged both of his attacks. He just shook his head as he made no move to attack him again. He was being scanned, read, found out. He was sure of it. She must be watching him and trying to find his weaknesses...he hadn't even noticed it. He quirked a brow as he returned to a crouched stance, defensive as he looked at her. "Why do you make no moves to strike, when you know you have my attacks beaten with your blocks. Didn't your family ever teach you not to play with your prey?" He asked with a smirk as he stood there, eyeing her up and waiting for some sort of move to attack. Staying on the offensive when all of his moves would be deflected was pointless, it would only tire him.

"Who said you're my prey?" Her smile faded entirely as her brother continued to frown. She quickly took a step forward and stabbed forward- straightening her elbows to get the maximum force behind her quick jab. "And don't act superior. It doesn't fit you."

He smiled as she said not to act superior and he shook his head. "I do not pretend to be superior. I know I am not, I am a new person here...and I probably won't leave this battle the victor. I'm just here to learn." He said as he swung the scythe horozontally, so the shaft would connect wit hthe sword's jab and knock it out of the danger zone of hitting him, but he had a feeling it would still knick him.
He then, with his body parallell to the weapon through one of his arms down and the other up, causing the already horizontal weapon's lower blade to rocket upwards in an uppercut motion towards her face. He watched the motion carefully, realizing already his back was open, but if it came to it he knew he could make a quick save and attempt the block if she attacked there.
