((Ah, geez, Iah, that sucks. Hopefully things will turn out alright for you, but 'til then, we're rooting for you!

And I've never seen the Breakfast Club. I am a deprived child, lol. ))

"For the group get together thing. Y'know, the meeting at the stables? And it's not too early, it's already quarter to ten!"

Seamus knew that he should be nicer to the still half-asleep teen, but he HATED being late for things. He and his dad were always late for EVERYTHING.... it was just embarassing to walk through the door an hour past that 'fashionably late' time slot, and then try to act like you'd been there all along. And then ask for food.

Speaking of which, he was still hungry.

"Tell you what, I'll wait here for you to be done, and we can go get yelled at together. But you need. to get. UP!"

((I saw the Breakfast Club twice. THe first time I was with my friend Claire. And I have, ever since, occasionally given her a hard time about her name. 8D;; ["Claire? That's a fat girl's name."]

And that sucks, Iah. D8 *huggles*))

He sat up slowly, his eyes fixed rather unfocussedly (if that was even possible) on the teen before him. "Sounds good to me," he replied, his voice even slower than usual. He really didn't mind what people thought (for the most part).

He eventually stood up and stretched, strode over to the bathroom, and splashed some exceedingly cold water onto his face. This seemed to help at least a little bit and he walked back into the bed room looking decidedly more awake than before.

Of course, he was still in full-morning mode and had almost no sense of self. He quickly stripped off his pajama pants (luckily he was wearing boxers) and slipped on a pair of faded, tattered and loose black jeans (which has quite a few patches in them). He then slipped off his overly large night shirt, revealing quite a nice set of scars. He pulled the other shirt (selected from the various crumpled piles in his drawers) and glanced over at the other, his bright eyes still somewhat muddled.

"Ready..." he mumbled.

Considering that Orpheus claimed that he was completely normal and was only here because his dad thought that he wasn't, he had a few....interesting scars. He hadn't meant to look, but as the boy had changed in front of him he couldn't help but notice them. He wondered if they were recent.

"Great! Hopefully Abby won't be too mad," the Irish-Italian said with a twinge of humor. In order to kick start the other teen's system he began to drag him by the arm while in a pseudo power-walk.

"So, do you think we're actually going to be riding today, or that the stables are just a meeting place so we can go off and do something else?"

Orpheus raised an eyebrow at the question. "You try putting a city-born spazz on a horse for the first time and see what happens..." he said slowly, one corner of his mouth quirking up slightly in what couldn't quite be described as a smile.

"I bet we'll just meet there and do something... outdoorsy. Otherwise we probably would have met in that room from yesterday... or the caffeteria, or something."

Now that the waking-up process was completed, he seemed quite... normal (if a bit sluggish). He seemed to be on a functional level, at the very least.

As they entered the barn, he glanced over at the eager teen plucking at his arm. "Watch it. What if you spazz out into a sleeping fit and land in horse s**t before I can catch you?" His tone was, as usual, calm, but there was a slightly amused inflection that wasn't there often. His golden-brown eyes glanced back over at the other before he sauntered over and grabbed an apple, as if he'd been there the entire time, before he returned to the other's side.

"I'm not that hyper right now, but if it comes down to that kind of situation, I'm bringing you down with me!" Seamus joked. As Orpheus grabbed his fruit ((lol)), Seamus picked up a napkin and grabbed two bagels and a banana. He flashed a quick grin and a small wave towards the other guys and chirped a cheery "Morning guys!"

Turning back to Orpheus, he asked, "So, you've never ridden before? -Neither have I. I'd be suprised if anyone except for Liam has ever been."

Finally, Liam got tired of standing on his own while everyone else enjoyed the food that had been set out for them. He began to move closer, but froze as he heard his name. People were TALKING about him, that wasn’t good. He didn’t know what Seamus had been saying, but for peace of mind, he decided it had to be something about how cool he was - although that was a very, very big stretch. He’d obsess over it later. “Uh, hey guys...” he said awkwardly, suddenly remembering how Seamus had ran into his room the night before. “What’s up?”
PostPosted: Wed Jan 24, 2007 8:35 pm

Seamus, halfway done with his first bagel, was suddenly jolted back down to earth by the random appearance of Liam. Coughing a bit, he incredulously thought Jeez! Speak of the devil and all that rot!

Although Liam had just popped out of the woodwork (something which, as an inattentive person, usually annoyed him and thus was ritually suprised by his friends), Seamus decided that due to how awkward and uncomfortable the taller boy seemed it was a good idea to help him loosen up a bit. Acting normal should do the trick.

"Morning Liam! Nothing much, really, aside from being late- we didn't miss anything, did we? But Orpheus here sleeps like the dead. It takes a natural disaster to wake him up." He popped the rest of his first bagel into his mouth, swallowed, and then continued, "We were just talking about the stables. I was actually just saying that you're probably the only one of us that might have ever gone riding before. Have you?"

“Oh. Yeah.” That would make sense. For a second there, he really had been worried. Adjusting his sunglasses a little, he seemed a bit anxious - but when -didn’t- Liam seem anxious? Mostly, it was just his nerves in response to talking about himself. “When I was little I was really into westerns. Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Brisco County Jr...” He waited for any glimmer of recognition in the other boys faces, but not for long as he continued on. “So my parents got me riding lessons. ...Something about me needing to get outside more. It didn’t last too long, I broke my arm a few weeks into it and they freaked out.” At least he had -some- experience. He was one up on most of the guys here.

As if Aiden's wish was right on cue, the aroma of doughtnuts and muffins was carried over to where the two boys stood. Tristan's eyebrows raised slightly and he looked to Aiden with a 'would you look at that!' type of expression. Food!

Apparently, one of the dark haired teen's favorite pass times was eating. Tristan nudged Aiden and then trotted a few steps ahead, a challenging look in his eyes. "If they ate all of the food already, I'm gunna..." He stopped himself short and an akward look came over his face. -...kill someone!- would have been the normal end to that expression however Tristan thought better of it and just played it off as severe ADD as he changed the subject. "I hope they have coffee...." He mused as he walked quickly down the path, checking over his shoulder once in awhile to see if Aiden was still matching pace with him. For some reason, Tristan worried that the boy would trip or something...

Once Tristan entered the barn, he quickly waved a hand to the rest of the group before claiming his bagel, muffin, doughtnut, and cup of coffee. Where the sugar-coated sweets ended up, no one would ever know with Tristan's figure.

Abby looked wide-eyed at Tristan's appitite and chuckled. "Looks like I'm going to have to order more food from now on..." She noted as the table was almost cleared.

Realizing that he had grabbed the last muffin, Tristan turned to look for Aiden. He would offer it to his friend if the boy wanted it, besides, he wasn't even done with his bagel yet.

--------------------------------------------

A quite smile played across Abby's features as she watched the group much and chatter about the event. At least she hadn't had too many complaints yet. Taking a spoon, she tapped her mug of coffee and held it up, figureing it was as good a time as any to break the news to the boys.

"Alright boys, I hope everyone has blue jeans on." She said fist without really explaining. "Today will be your first event dealing with 'respect'." She lifted her eyebrows, knowing that the boys must have seen her as a kindergarden teacher of sorts. "Now seriously...I'm not going to lecture you about 'what respect is' you all know it and I know yall know how to use it. Some of you just simply choose not to because its the easiest way to deal with things sometimes."

She paused and waited until she had everyone's attention. "Today, you will all be assigned a horse that is suited towards your experiance, temperment, and built." To clarify, she shook her head. "This does not mean that if you are cranky, you get a cranky horse... what I mean is this: Each of you will be getting a horse that will push your buttons and cause you to show it respect even if you don't want it to." She concluded and then her smile brightened. "Sounds fun right?" She said sarcastically.

"Now really, I do want you guys to have fun with this. Horseback riding gives you a freedom and a peace of mind that you might not feel anywhere else. All you have to do is show the horse respect and ask it to do what you want, and you will be amazed at how fast you learn."

"I stress the fact that I said 'ask' the horse and not 'tell' because if you tell the horse to do anything, it is going to flip you off... in quite the literal sense.

She stopped there and then just waited for the wave of questions that were going to hit her.

[[Alrighty, well... so as not to confuse others ['cus Ean's profile doesn't seem to be up yet], here's his profile... thing...
Name: Ean Chevve ['shehv']
Age: sixteen and a half
Physical Description: Ean<3 He is small and thin with pale skin and a slender build. At approximately 5'5", he's shorter than the average male his age. His hair is a bright crimson and he has black tips. His eyes are a light golden color with small bits of brown. Normal people call this 'hazel,' but the truth of the matter is that they're more gold than they are anything else, although occasionally they do have flecks of brown or green. But mostly just gold.
Summary of History: Ean's family has a history of suicides. This means that, all through many generations counting up the centeries of this family line, there have been many members of this family and other's close to the family who have killed themselves in various ways. This, of course, has phsycologically affected the family line and Ean's immidiate family always kept almost guiltily close to the church. Even though Ean was quieter than most boys and tended to be an introvert as well as a bit of a recluse, this matter of suicide was never really brought close to home (even though his grandfather and grandmother had commited suicide together when he was about six) until his eldest brother, who was twenty-six at the time (this was about two years ago, when Ean was nearly fourteen), killed himself by hanging himself off a billboard overlooking a very used highway. Ean was one of the first to drive under the scene of the death, this highway being the one chosen on his school route. Ean had always been very close to both of his brothers and the death of Alan sent a severe mental and emotional shock to him. He began to withdraw into himself and wouldn't speak with anyone. Everything seemed lost until Ean's other brother began to 'talk' with Ean. They spent much of their time alone togehter and gradually Ean began to shed his onion layers of protection. His parents breathed a sigh of relief. That is, until they walked in on the brothers committing a most unholy act. THeir incestuous relationship was morally wrong on so many levels that the parens immidiately sent Jerred, Ean's twenty-one-year-old brother to a foreign school in France that is famous for its discipline. Ean, meanwhile, has been shuffled around several different schools until he was finally sent to the RRC so they could 'fix' him. Ean pines for his brother almost constantly and is convinced of their love, despite the 'unholy' undecency of it all. His parents have hidden all pictures or anything pretaining to Jerred from Ean.
How long they have been at RRC: new arrival, I suppose
Other: Ean is an artist and has secretly turned his skills to drawing perfect likenesses of his brother, Jerred. Unknown to his parents, he also has one picture of his brother [which he took] and he looks upon it as often as he can without others seeing.

Now onto posting [sorry for using overly too much space D: ]!!]]

Ean was used to the procedure by now. After a month or three (or five or maybe even just a week) he would often be shuffled around to another school 'famed for its ability to straighten out boys with criminal intentions and other such problems.' The only affect that these schools had visibly had on the boy was that he was now visibly thinner and with many more bruises, knicks and cuts. Once the other boys had found out what he was in for, he had become a favorite punching bag (since the majority of them seemd to be built about as delicately as a crocodile bred with an elephant). A couple boys had gone farther and Ean had some burn marks from those of the sadists that had managed to sneak lighters...

But that was only the visual changes.

Mentally, he was much the same, although made more fearful of others and even more withdrawn, rather than less. And he was almost mortally afraid of showing others his bruises (which was why he was wearing long sleeves in such warm weather). He could not, however, hide the bruise he was sporting on his left cheek from when he 'tripped over Jake's bag and banged his face on the table because Ean is such a clutz as to have assumed those other bruises, as well.' All his injuries were, aparently, due to his own clumbsiness (or so his bullies had explained to concerned - and not so concerned - grown-ups. Except that none of them were because Ean was not clumbsy.

But that wasn't the point. The point was that his parents had finally gone the full measure -- instead of a 'rehab school,' this was simply... 'rehab.' No school added.

Which meant that his parents were really, really serious about this. And it meant that he was just that much farther away from his beloved brother.

The police had first led him to an office in the RRC, expecting to find whoever the head of this organization was... but it was empty of her (although the secretary was there). Then he was taken to the barn. It... smelled. Bad. Ean wrinkled his nose slightly and glanced up at the police men, who kept their eyes stoicly ahead of them.

He was taken from the light of the outside and into the large, but dark, barn -- which seemed to be filled with people. Boys (or men?). They were most likely the others with 'problems' since they seemed to be around Ean's age.

But they were all quite taller than him and he felt smaller than the others (5'5" is not, after all, at all tall for an almost-seventeen-year-old boy). The men took him up to where a woman stood - was this Abby, then? - with her fork rested against her coffee mug. Ean glanced around himself nervously, very aware of just how beat up he looked (particularly with that purpling bruise on his cheek) and then looked back up at the woman.

The police men seemed to have talked with the woman before about 'this case of delinquent boy' because they left almost immidiately (they had seemed quite reluctant to even touch Ean in the first place).

He pulled a lock of stray crimson-and-black hair behind one ear out of nervous habbit and then mumbled, his voice as small as he was, "Uhmm... I'm... Ean..."

[[Hope people don't mind me giving them too much to read. D: ]]

((Shane. <333333333333333

"I don't think you can really decide in which direction you fall in after you fall asleep," Orpheus responded with a small grin, his lip ring twinkling slightly in the light.

He watched as Liam aproached - right on cue, it seemed. He glanced between the pair of them and then replied slowly, "Actually, I ha--"

But he was cut off by Abby's announcement. So they were going to be riding horses. What fun. For him, perhaps, anyway. He had been riding since he had been about six. In fact, prior to the incedent (which hadn't happened) he had been saving up - him and a couple of his friends - to buy (and share) a chestnut-colored horse named Apple.

However, he doubted any of the other boys would have ever ridden.

His gaze followed the progress of a small, dark-haired boy being led by policemen. Another new arival...?
