"Sure, why not?" Kaiya shot back, acting perfectly serious. Her hand slid imperceptibly closer to her dagger. He seemed to be relaxing, just slightly. "Are you willing?"

"I wouldn't have said it if i wasn't..." he said, tightening his muscles around her. Making it so she couldn't move her hand towards the dagger at all. "Somehow I get the feeling your not though. I personally never have tried to grab a dagger to kill someone when they are just trying to talk." he then said, so she knew that he knew what she was doing at that moment. "However if you truely are..." He then said softly in her ear, slightly nibbling the edge of it. Not releasing her in the slightest.

Kaiya laughed. "Yeah, well, there's where we differ," she said, thankful of what she now thought of as the "training" that her old master had given her. She could ignore his advances completely. "I try to kill anyone I can, if they're asking for it. And sleeping with me pretty much is asking for it, sad to say. And, you know, it's really no fair to do that when I'm immobile." Which, technically, she wasn't. But she wasn't going to let him know that.

"Now see I've always viewed that as a bad move for an assassin." Sora told her. "Your killing off potential costomers, or potential victims for the future. and then your just denying yourself the pleasures of life." he then said suddenly letting her go, slightly pushing her away from him. That way there was no way for him to be stabbed. "And for the record I really don't care what is fair and what is not fair." he then said, steping back into the shadows, and disapearing from her sight.

Kaiya rolled her eyes. "Amateur," she said. "It's also a good way to get rid of potential enemies. Or rivals." Smiling to herself, she walked down the street, wondering where she would go.
Kyna looked around her, at the surrounding shops, wondering where to go next. There had to be somewhere new where she could stay for a little while. Somewhere interesting, with a decent assortment of people. Though alone would work for Kyna, too. "Maybe that forest I was in before," she suggested to herself. "It was a nice forest." Her decision made, Kyna told the wind to lead her there. She followed at a sedate pace, almost reluctant.

Sora still followed her from a short distant away. Quietly he wondered how this girl had stayed alive for so long. How have I stayed alive for so long for that matter... he couldn't help but think. It's simple... Your smart... she's not. You were right about not killing people. Not only is it a waste of life, it is potential for employer or victim. Who cares about rivals? I mean your best friend is another assassin. the kit told him. Yeah... Azreal is a great friend. Sora thought. Yeah... he gives great head skritches... anyways... hey sora... does this mean we're going back into the business? The kit asked hesitently. Sora paused. Still watching the girl go down the street. I think we do kit. I didn't really want to that much... but I think consitering all that has happened we have to... he thought quietly. Suddenly he gave a quiet gasp, as part of his heart began to ach. Quickly he sliped into an alley away from sight. "Ow... Ow... Ow.. Ow..." He began, begining to take off his tunic, and a few of his daggers, to see what was wrong. Maybe it's... the kit began, following him. "Maybe it's what!?" Sora asked, finally geting his shirt over his head. There in front of him stood a slightly seethrough girl of about the age of 14 or so. "Eli?" He asked, shocked, and his chest still hurting. "Sora!" Eli cried, running at him. Clearly happy to see him again. That's when she went through him with a feeling like ice. "OH THAT IS COLD!!!!!" He couldn't help but shout. "What!? No... Sora... what is going on?" Eli cried, turning to look at him. "Eli... Eli... You have no idea how good it is to see you..." Sora began. We missed you!!!!!! the kit but in. "Eli... You died... your parents killed you." Sora finally said, tears starting to run down his face. A shocked look apeared on the girls face. "But if i'm dead Sora then why am I here?" she asked finally. "I don't know love..." Sora said. Wishing that she wasn't a... well a ghost in the end. Mostly wishing that he could hold her again. "but there has to be a reason Sora! People don't just come back from the grave like this for no reason at all!!!!" Eli said clearly upset. Unfinished... uh... business with sora? the kit interjecteced mischivously. Sora glared down at the kit. knock it off. he thought to the kit. While Eli's ghost slightly blushed as he did slightly as well. A rare sight to see indeed. "Truthfully, I have missed you like mad. And just now me and kit were discussing going back into being assassins for hire. I know you made me promise not to. But Eli it's for a good cause. It might just save a girl's life. But maybe you came back because I said that..." Sora tried to exsplain. Eli gave Sora a sad look. "Seems like a good cause. I just wish you didn't have to kill anymore. Maybe it was why I came here. I've missed you though Sora..." Eli said, going up to him, and placing her head near his chest. Close enough so that he felt the cold, and yet so she was not going through him. "I've missed you too Eli..." He started, once again a tear running down his face. Then just as it had began, the pain disapated from his chest, and Eli disapreared. With a sigh, Sora put his shirt back on, and leaned against a wall. Sliding down it, and sitting up against it. Thinking of Eli once again.

Isa walked through the streets, looking into the shops as she passed, but never going into one. Eventually, she got tired and sat at a cafe, ordering a glass of water. Nice to be waited on for a change, she thought wryly, settling back.
Ivy went from store to store, exclaiming excitedly to Hilt about the neat new things she saw. "Ooo, look at that!" she exclaimed at one store. "That's such a pretty dress!" at another. She passed a cafe, and someone naggingly familiar caught her eye. She looked at the woman, who was sitting and sippong a glass of water, and gasped. "You!" she shrieked, pointing.
Isa set her glass quickly on the table, startled. "What?" she asked, looking at the girl. Her eyes widened. "s**t! What are you doing here?!"
Ivy stared at the woman, then whirled and sprinted away, Hilt tagging along at her heels. "Who was that?" he asked.
"You didn't recognize her?" she demanded when she stopepd running.
"No," he said. "Why do you think I asked?"
"She's an assassin. The only one who ever made it into my room," Ivy replied. "You should remember her." She sat down and smoothed his fur down. "Never thought I'd see any of the assassins again." She rubbed at a place on her stomach, where there was a smooth burn scar. That woman had given it to her. "Stupid fire mage," Ivy muttered.

Sora glanced over into the street. There stood a girl and what looked like a couger. There they stood talking. Quietly he wondered why they were there. The kit also watching them at his feet.

Isa stood up and walked from the cafe. The girl, who had been her first assignment (and her only failed one), backed away quickly. "Calm down," Isa told her. "I'm not about to kill you."
Hilt growled at the assassin.
"Quit that, Hilt," Ivy snapped. "You can't do anything right now." She looked back at the woman. "You better leave me alone," she said quietly, perfectly serious. "Or else."
Isa laughed. "Or else what?"
Ivy smiled. "You wouldn't want to meet my new friend," she said, menace dripping from her voice. She turned and walked away, one hand on Hilt's neck. He turned to glare at the woman. "Oh, calm down, Hilt. Even if she could, she wouldn't kill me in front of all these people." Still, Ivy rubbed nervously at her scar. All that had been an act, of course. Ivy doubted Bob would hurt anyone just for being hired to kill her. But it was a good threat, she had to admit. Too bad it had little backing.

Sora watched the whole thing from his alley from where he sat. Seemed like some girls getting into a fight. The kit watched as well, really more interested in the other cat. To get involved or not to get involved... he couldn't help but think from where he sat. At this point he was mostly worn out from the day, and really just wanted to find a place to sleep. Finally he figured he could at least watch to make sure no one got hurt.

Isa walked from the cafe. "My past is catching up with me, I guess," she remarked to herself. She laughed softly. Like it mattered. She walked in the direction of the inn.
Ivy looked around. "Huh. I wonder where Bob is. Hey, Hilt, let's go find him," she said, speeding up.
Hilt sighed. "He's probably where we left him."
"No way! He probbaly moved since then."
"We'll see." He loped off in the direction they'd come from.

"Bob?" Sora said quietly. "Do we know a Bob?" He then asked looking down at the kit. The kit looked at him and shruged. "He was that guy in Solstice wasn't he?" Sora muttered. "Well we got nothing else to do... might as well find out..." He then added quietly, and got up with a slight groan. "Damn... getting old..." he couldn't help but mutter. The feeling of cold still on his chest from Eli. With that him and the kit followed the girl and cat from the shadows.

Hilt tugged at Ivy's skirt. "Come here," he said to her.
She leaned down. "What?"
"Don't look, but we're being followed," he whispered in her ear. She looked. "I told you not to look!" Ivy looked back at him.
"How do you know?"
Hilt looked at her. "I'm a cougar. I can hear and smell things better than you. And I smell cat. And somethnig else."
Ivy frowned. "Something else? Either way, we have to find Bob. Let's go." The two kept walking toward the forest.

Sora and the kit followed. Sticking to the shadows, watching the girl and the cat move on. I wonder how long til they... Sora started to think, and then suddenly saw the girls head turn towards their direction. Oh i would say about there boss. Can't say we didn't exspect that. The cat has to have a good sence of smell on him. the kit thought with a chuckle. Well at least we know that they can't see or hear us. I refuse to believe that I've gotten so old that I make sound like that. Sora said almost darkly. Watching the two walk on. Then taking a step as if to prove that it wouldn't make sound. Nope... not too old yet... The kit said to reasure him. And with that the two still followed on.

Kyna walked into the city again. "Hey, mister," she called, peeking her head into a shop, "do you know if there's another city nearby?"
"Hmm, yeah, there's one about twenty miles off," the man replied. "It's straight down that road." He pointed north. "You should be able to get there in a few days, if you can walk fast enough."
Kyna smiled. "Thank you very much for your help." She disappeared down the road, heading for the new city. Maybe she'd find something there.
