A devilish grin at her glint of gold, but she was right, he needed to get hismelf dressed as well. and he went to one of the bags they had, and pulled out his armor. many more pieces than hers, and the under coat of leather and a second of black chainmail.
Leather tunic went on first, and then the pants. hey...malik wasn't wearing underwear..socks on after that, and then the chaimmail pants, fastening the buckles to keep them tightende and slipping on the chainmail tunic, which also went over his head, covering his hair. then the mithril boots, and the lower and upper leg peices that locked and fastened around his whole the longer skull blazed grain and rear section that hugn down a bit in layered plates. the breasplate when over his head, and fastened at his side in several layers. then the neck guard. by now his chest and legs looked impressive..and his arms looked a littel too thin. then the paudrons, that covered the shoulder and upper arm, teh gussets on the lower arm and wrist, with the added shield section to protect the elbo just like hte shin had for his knee.
Finally, the guantlets, and picking up the full faceplated helm in one hand and looking at her.
"How do I look?"

Of course she just sat there watching in delight at him with somewhat of a smile...well one that was as best as her jaw would allow without bothering her too much. "No fair, I don't get a helmet." Just to tease. "Nae mor nesh." Though her mind was being a peanut gallery to it all really, making snide little comments about how it was all entirely too much work to put on that much armor. "If I was a mother and you came walking through town, I would cover my child's eyes." Then a slight laugh. "But since I am not, would drooling suffice for an answer?" Had to admit, he did look impressive and had she not know him, well she would be one of the first to get out of his way. "Don't see how you can move well in all of that, but then again that adds to the mystery of it all." Standing up she walked over and circled him a moment before coming to his front and giving a knock on his chest. "Makes me feel better though, don't have to worry about a sword or the like running you through." Another pat to the armor before she got to herself, pulling on her own gloves and gauntlets she usually wore, pulling straps tight then adding her leash over top on one hand for appearances sake, then taking to her weapons. Buckling her belt around her waist with her whip, buckling her daggers to her boots, and grabbing her bow. Though reaching for her quiver she stopped mid reach. "Damn it..." Walking over to the cabinet she grabbed the quiver that contained the mithril tipped arrows and slung it over her shoulder. Pity she couldn't take her own because of the crest difference.

A little bit of a brow raise at her elvish comment, and a grin as she inspected him and talking about drooling over him, while she got her own weapons ready, he strapped on Malvolence to his side, it looking even more deadly with it's complentary desing to teh skull ridden armor. and his gauntleted sword hand did have a exposed section for the bite of the blade he used.
"Wait till you see the lance. Apparently jousting is part of this tournament, and I have my own lance."
A grin and he opened the door for her, that heavy clunk of armored feet on teh floor. he moved easily, as if he wasn't even wearing a full suit of platemail armor. of course a benifit of mithril. very strudy stuff that was incredibly light. and he walked after her, slaves giving some small smiles, others just getting out of the way as fast as they could.
"stables first, Serino and Nightmare should be there. after Ashlyn left with the entry items they've been busy there probably prepping for us. I saw then taking the lance that way which is how I know about it. you'll like it."

She shook her head and merely left the room, leaving her icepack there for appearances sake, walking in lead. Though she did take notice of the slaves. She assumed the smiles either meant fresh business meat being brought in to break so they got less attention, or they were all just happy that her and Malik were leaving for a while. "Yes I will so enjoy watching you on a horse at full gallop with a pointy ended stick barreling toward someone else doing the exact same." Sarcasm drip. Stepping outside, her eyes dropped habitually to the ground to watch where she was going as she was heading over to the stables. Idly she reached up to her ears, bandana in one hand and secured it on, the longer ear getting pinned back against her head in usual discomfort. Hm, wonder what Serino would think. But for now, concentrate on walking and not falling.

"Never said it was the brightest event, but the lance I got looks impressive."
He gave a small grin at her eyes and gently put his armored hand on her shoulder, helping her not to fall while they walked, but to outsiders it looked more like he was keeping a hand on her so he didn't lose footing, made a bit more believable by a light shuffle of feet like the armor was a little heavy to be walking in.
Then at the stables, Nightmare was snorting and looking generally displeased, and one slave as in a corner slumped over with two hoof marks in his chest. someone had been playing where he shouldn't. and by Nightmare's stable, was the lance. a good ten feet of black metal, with a longed herd aroudn the grip like a hand shield and the pointed end serrated like a set of teeth.
"Nice looking, isn't it."
Nightmare had her saddlebags and such on, and was armored herself with chainmail drape along her back and neck, a ramhorned faceplate, and lower legplates.
"Rescho , Ramoth ... Ulnin z'lonzic dos lu' usstan orn tlu rath wun zhuanth form , elriein udossta ogglinnar."
That seemed to calm her but he got an annoyed snort just the same.

"Men and weapons..." Though she really had no room to talk, seeing as she was sort of that way with her bow...she just wasn't as open about it. Didn't want someone to snatch it and break it because she loved it so much. Though she did smile with the hand on her shoulder, made it easier for her because then she didn't have to watch the damn ground. One day...she intended on conquering that ground. A look at the lance. "Looks like it hurts to me."
Serino? He was having a good time playing with the slaves that were trying to Rein him. Seemed though that they were more surprised that he was out of them ,seeing as he was usually constantly Reined and tied so he wouldn't get away. Appear in one place, disappear in another, it was just too much fun. Though he did notice they pretty much stopped when Piper and Malik came on the scene. Cowards. With a bray of happy he trotted over to the two, head butting Piper in the shoulder, nuzzling around as her and giving a look of question before a little kicked up wind.
A slight pause before she gave a laugh and patted him between the ears. "Apparently it is mine my friend. And thank you, Malik thought so too." Then she looked past Serino to a slave that held those permanently done Zephyr Reins. "Bring me those and then go find something useful to do." Being handed the Reins, she slipped them on Serino without any trouble from him. "You have to, just for appearances. But you still have lead." Then she took to mounting the Zephyr easily as ever and looked to Malik. "Tul amin arato." It was fin to just spring languages over. "We have a lot of water to cross..." A click oh her tongue to Serino.

A grin at her.
"you know, you have to tell me what some of that means sometime."
And he hopped up on Nightmare, holding her reins with one hadn and gripping the lance in the other, and hefting it up and resting it against his shoulder, the but end resting in a leather holder so he wasn't carrying it, just supporting it on his shoulder. Now he really did look the fearsome Shadowknight. a smoke snorting and breathing, flame eyes and flaming hooved nightmare with a fully armored in black and silver dark elf. then the helmet went on, covering his face except around his colorless eyes.
"After you, Jabbress Piper."
the helmet had another effect, it gave his voice a slight muffle, and when speaking in his own tongue with the softer tones..it sounded almost otherworldly, liek there wasn't a mouth making that sound, but something else

She looked at him and blinked as he spoke and at the way he looked on that horse, and then just stared a moment. "I don't know whether I should have nightmares or fantasize at this moment..." But Piper shook her head, taking hold of Serino's reins and pulling lightly to turn him about before another click of her tongue sent him forward. The Nightmare would just have to deal with being second in line until they were far enough away from their place. "Well, I called you my champion, since you really want to know." Though not more than thirty feet out she dropped the reins, not even needing them, and pulled out the map that she had grabbed, looking it over really quick. "Looks like we can easily travel to the end of the peninsula then cross over to Deep Water. Lot of water though, she going to be okay?" Piper knew Serino could take water easier, but she didn't know about Malik's own horse, after all she had only seen her talents in shallow water.

"I would prefer fantasies. Your Champion. I like the sound of that. and I called you Mistress, if you were wondering."
A thought for a moment, and a pat on the Nightmare's neck, who was not thrilled at being second in line to what she considered a lesser in the herd. Malik was silent for a bit after that, and considering.
"She should be fine. If I have any doubts once we get there I'm sure there is a boat or ferry of some kind. after all people would have to get to this tournament somehow that aren't in that part of the world."

"Of course you''re my champion. You were before we even learned about this tournament." Though she watched the landscape as she put the map away, it was different than where she had previously traveled. No forest of those trees, though there was one every now and then, and that mist seemed less dense even non existent at this part of the world. Well good, at least if something was going to try and kill her then she would know. All lowland too. "You''re probably right, so no problems there." Though she did whistle to Serino, causing him to stop in his steps and let the Nightmare overtake him a little before continuing. Not walking ahead now but slightly behind and to the side. Though another scan of her surroundings and her keen sight picked up what seemed to be a village in the distance...the hell? The map was pulled out again and scanned over. No village marked on the map. "You do see a village, right love?" And that map was put away then her hands in old habit went to tighten her bandana.

the nightmare was back in good spirits when she got infront of Serino, high stepping a bit. they were quiet for awhile, while they just watched the scenery, until Piper said something and he looked in the direction she was, and nodded lightly.
"I see it too. there is definatly a village there, and you said it's not on the map? isn't that odd. Well that's the best chance for transportation lets head that way."
A tug on the Nightmare's reins got her moving on a path right toward the village ahead, and a small grin under his helmet. looking like they did...they probably wouldn't even have to pay for anything. the old fear working and that rush of knowing people would fear him again.

Another look at the map. "You know, come to think on it, this whole corner of the map is rather...bare as opposed to the other areas. Hm...maybe that's why no one's found us, no one wants to come this way a map out the area." Okay, map away again, it was nothing but water and Deep Water straight on, easy enough. But Serino just followed in due fashion and Piper rolled her eyes, setting a hand to her jaw a moment before sighing. This would look wonderful...
And they did get quite the batch of stares as they really just rode into town like they owned it. And they didn't get any looks of recognition either, merely ones of fear or disbelief, awe and wonderment. Okay...looked like they weren't known here either...they must of kept to themselves. A pull back on Serino's reins to get him to stop a moment as she turned her attention to the nearest bystander and studied the poor fearful looking girl. She did look quite elvish in her looks, even her ears showed the decadency. Hm, easily seen elf heritage, but how much? Piper decided to test it. "Lle quena i'lambe tel' Eldalie?"
The girl kind of blinked at her oddly, having that total blank expression of not knowing on her face. "Apparently you don't, so you speak common then?" Hopefully. And it was confirmed by a nod from the girl to Piper. That was a good start she guessed. "So then...we can cross to Deep Water from the coast? There's a ferry or something?" Another nod and another frightful look. "Right." Piper clicked her tongue, getting Serino to catch up to Malik's own wandering.

Malik was ahead of her, people backing away form him far more fearful then they were with her. of course Malik looked more like a brutal killer than she from a standpoint of armor. Some of them had tints of blue to thier skin, and he looked back to Piper.
"None of them seem to be purely elven. a few here and there but nothing to think that the elven races are flourishing here."
He found one of the blue tinted ones, and got off his Nightmare, who stood still, the Lance resting on her hind quarters, while Malik approached a backing youth.
Xun dos kampi'un uns'aa? lu' ka ji, lu'oh xun udos inbau ulu Deepwater?
As with Piper, he didn't seem to understand Malik, or at least if he did he wasn't giving much sign of it. of course Deepwater he knew, and he pointed ahead and ran away as fast as he could. Malik got back on Nightmare, readjusting the lance and looking at Piper.
"They are terrified. I'm used to that kind of reaction but they outnumber us twenty to one. even without skill in combat they got the numbers to stop us if we tried anything. but they look at us like we could rain fire down on them."

As if he had commanded it so, a fire pillar went off over the water, easily visible, drawing Piper's attention. And her mind flitted back to that slave girl...assults on Deep Water, being blamed on the Purians. A look back to Malik. "Perhaps we do." She tilted her head to the side slightly, working her jaw for a moment to perhaps ward off some pain. "But you're right...close to us but not. From the looks of it though...they don't know about that supposed enemy between elvish races either. It's like several different ones just thrown together down here and they could care less." Another look around at them all who were either blatantly trying to ignore the two or simple were trying not to do anything to upset them. Then a look at the actual surroundings...it was all a rather low developed, main thing looked like crops on the water's edge. Lacked all things that were elvish in their grace and looks. "Seems anything truly elvish about them has longed died out cultural wise." Then she started off again in the direction they had both been pointed in. "Let's go...I think we're in for quite a long trip across water. Perhaps we can amuse ourselves with language class."

That collum got Malik's attention, and a glance around.
"The elvish culture is still with them. look at the woodwork and stonework they have. But most has died..or been forcibly hidden. No tier'dal would breed with a human unless it was to thier advantage. or forcibly."
He noted something, but he'd bring it up later on the ferry, maybe inbetween languages class.
"That would be a fun way to pass the time, Piper. and I'll try not to seduce you with my words."
A chuckle, since that had happened last night.
