Congrats Jaeger, seems you will have some sleepless nights ahead of you.
Wow, I feel so incredibly young. I'm still in High School

My hair did get bigger than that. That's when we noticed it moving under its own power.

Ug. Just freaking ug.
Got confirmation that the Soke (head of the style) will be coming from Japan and Jordan Sensei is wanting to put me up for promotion to go dan (5th degree black belt). When is still supposed to happen? MAY! When the twins are due. Next weekend is going to be just freaking lovely when I tell Jordan Sensei, "Um.. yeah... Lenny, y'know that whole dealy with the only person on the planet that can promote me coming to the states and you wanting me to test? Yeah. That won't be happening." He's gonna freaking kill me.
But let's say the twins arrive early and do get the opportunity to go and test and make go dan (which I seriously doubt I'm anywhere ready for). The next step in Jordan Sensei's cunning plan is putting my happy a** in front of the Budotukai. They're THE authority on Karate in Japan. It doesn't get any higher. They're coming to Norfolk (30 minute drive for yours truly) and are going to be hosted by Hamada Sensei, probably the scariest sum-b***h ever to smash a student upside the head with a kendo stick. This guy makes me look like little Mary Sunshine. Budotukai testing is always different. It could just be me doing one kata, it could be the kicking of my a** on a biblical scale.
Either way, I'm pretty much going to be assuming room temperture. Anyone want my stuff?

Dude, seriously, even if you do somehow end up going for the test HOW THE HELL WOULDN'T YOU BE NERVOUS?
I'd be freaking the hell out, that's what.

Everyone gets nervous on test day. Everyone gets nerwous when the higher ups come around to have a look at what's going on. I just do what they tell me. Besides, It wouldn't be the first time I've been in a hosptial. They've got cable.

Especially when they put me in a room between a comatose old lady and a crazy-foreign speaking one who wouldn't stop leaving her bed to try to head to the bathroom every five minutes.
Not fun at all... gonk

Not fun at all... gonk They gave me a private room because I kept disturbing the other patients. I was up and down all hours of the day and night, half out of my mind for sleep deprevation. The pain pump was working overtime. They had me on juice 20x more potent than morphine, and that's what it took to have a civilized conversation with me. Yeah, any rest I could get, Iloved, so I was really into the bed.

So, I'm working with a friend of mine on a roleplaying system (superhero) and it's working out much better than I'd ever hoped. he set the basic framework, i'm cleaning it up a bit and expanding it.
I'm really thinking that this thing may just work out very well. heart stare
