Once the kitsune had eaten a satisfactory amount, he put what remained of the meal back in the pack. The food seemed a good enough excuse to go see Hiei, possibly allowing him patch things up.

Though, if he knew the Koorime, he would refuse his share, thinking it to be poisoned. But it certainly didn't taste strange, nor had Kurama felt ill even in the slightest bit.

And so he rose, stretching unnoticably before going off in search of the fire demon, using his very faint trace of an aura to find him. Seemed he was trying to mask his energy, actually. But that wasn't abnormal.

A path much easier to follow was one of destruction. Shredded trees, other plants, and various dead creatures, most of which probably being Night's pets. This was all the result of leaving the hi-youkai alone for a few hours.

Hiei shifted slightly on the branch of the tree he had nestled himself into. A few leaves fell onto him and he brushed them off with a simple wave of his hand. The Koorime had grown tired of wandering angrily, and now decided to rest angrily. The katana stood out of the grass beneath the tree, standing in the shade idly. The cloth was back over the Jagan, as he found using it increasingly annoying at this point, since there wasn't much it could do to help.

Hunger was nagging at him now, making him feel even more irritable at everything around. He hated the branches, the leaves, the tree, the sky, the grass, the air, the breeze. Ashes fell down softly from the branch he was sitting in. No more leaves would fall on this Jaganshi.

Using the grace of his past life, and silence to equal it, Kurama climbed the tree right beside the one in which the fire apparition perched, intending to do one of two things, those being either teasing him in some way, or just watching over him. Because certainly he wasn't an unpleasant sight to behold. So the kitsune found a nice place to sit, out of Hiei's sight, but that did not hide his own view. If he was by some chance caught, the excuse of food could be used. But for now, this seemed best.

The fire apparition was much too distracted to sense the fox's presence. So he remained sitting in the tree, eyes staring lazily about. He heard a noise and looked up to the small branch just above his head. A small blue bird, not unlike the one he had accidentally killed earlier, sat perched on the branch, looking at Hiei.

The Jaganshi simply stared back, but after a minute he spoke.

"And what do you want?" he spat, glaring at it. "Did Kurama send you to make me feel guilty? Fool. You should know better than to listen to a fox. This could be a trap and I might kill you."

He then crossed his arms over his chest and looked away as if he didn't give a damn about anything. Though when the bird left, he looked almost insulted.

Night grinned. The little bird had come to her. Of course, it wasn't a regular bird, oh no, those were boring pets indeed. No, this bird was a makai bird, able to mimic exactly what was said around it, along with giving images of what it had seen. Kurama hiding in a tree, Hiei threatening birds.

They really insisted on giving her info for blackmail, didn't they?

The paranoid Koorime's comments caused Kurama to smirk, contrasting his earlier attitude quite a bit. He acts like a stubborn child... same size as one, too. His smirk grew.

Maybe he would give Hiei more time alone, after all. Surely the smaller girl's pets would irritate him again, entertaining the fox further. Though the possibility remained that he would be noticed, and that, naturally, would not be good.

The Jaganshi remained quiet and still in the tree, eyes closed. Though after a few minutes, he opened them and stared ahead as if suddenly aware of something. "What are you waiting for, me to tear off my clothes? Does the Youko often indulge in voyeuristic activities?"

"Hn," he spat. "I wouldn't be surprised."

((. . .
. . .
. . . I love you. <333))

At hearing the fire apparition, Kurama wasn't quite sure whether to giggle, or be insulted. So he sufficed to slip from his one perch, down to a rather thin one of the hi-youkai's, his intent to sneak up on him. Why? To either tease or irritate him. Because everything he just said deserved payback. How could he presume such a thing about Youko? He was never a slut. Not really. Unless you count the several hundred times that he....

Hm, what to say, what to say? Certainly, it had to be good. Still out of view, the kitsune commented softly, yet in a feigned seductive tone, "Hiei, would you like me to answer that question... physically?"

He wasn't serious, of course. Though the thought was tempting, come to think of it.

(( xd I love you back.))

Though Hiei had expected some kind of response, the one he got was way off. There was a very noticable angry and flustered flinch in his expression, but he made sure his face wasn't easily seen. It wouldn't do to let the fox see that the fire apparitions were burning. Though he thought of exactly what to say.

"No, would you?" he spat, glaring now at the branch in front of him.

The fox's expression betrayed no emotion, not wanting to influence the Koorime at all. He was rather curious as to where this might go, and what his reaction would be.

"You're avoiding my question," Kurama said, himself doing the exact same thing. Undoubtedly, the fire apparition would think he was only toying with him... and maybe he was, but not only that. Hopefully, though, his comment would not turn out to be a complete mistake. The more short-tempered of the two certainly didn't have a sense of humor, it seemed.

Hiei only narrowed his eyes. "If you're looking for someone to watch pleasure themselves, go peek into the detective's bathroom window," he retorted, not even batting an eyelash. "And I'm sure he wouldn't mind having you if he were in the mood. You're wasting your time with me."

As that was far too many things to be said by the Jaganshi at once, he shut his mouth and continued to glare forward. Though he realized he had only avoided the question further, it didn't matter. He said what he wanted to. Hopefully it wouldn't backfire.

Still, "What do you want?"
PostPosted: Wed Sep 13, 2006 6:48 pm

"Apparently, my time is being wasted here. Though I do wonder why you would know what goes on at Yusuke's," he said, smirking. Though Kurama had never bothered to pay attention to the detective's window, himself, the response would be worth hearing.

For some odd reason, the Koorime's words had hurt him, but he couldn't place the cause. So it wasn't worth worrying about.

"My intention was to give you this," the fox continued, leaping from his current branch to Hiei's in order to hand him the food. Surely he would have nothing to do with it, but he still may as well give it to him.

Hiei did not have an answer to that. His mouth simply hung open, as if he were between thinking of something to say and saying it. Then he scowled. Though when the fox came to share the branch he was at, he turned slightly away, not even honoring the other with seeing his glare.

"What, does the woman feel sorry for us now?" he growled, taking the food and still not looking at Kurama. He looked it over, even using his sense of smell to see if the food had something wrong with it.

"I don't want it," was all he said, handing the food back. That had earned Kurama a brief, narrowed glance.

"I thought as much... but you will have to eat, eventually, Hiei. It can't be avoided," the fox said, his voice adopting a more serious tone. It was true that he couldn't go forever without eating, and possibly the hunger was part of the cause of his very... unpleasant mood.

Kurama dropped the food to a lower branch, not wanting anything more to do with it. Carrying it around forever wasn't his idea of fun, and he had eaten all he could stomach of the cooking.

No move was made for him to leave, since sticking together was the best idea, not to mention that he enjoyed the Koorime's company-- yes, even in his current mood.

"Tch," Hiei spat, almost sounding amused at the fox's tone of voice. Of course, Hiei knew very well that soon the hunger would really get to him. He might not even eat then, knowing him. "It can't be avoided? Is that some kind of threat, fox? Are you going to force food down my throat?"

He shifted and closed his eyes in an irritated manner. But somehow there was another feeling there. "I won't eat until we're back and Yukina is okay," he said, now looking at Kurama.
