Well, that is the Eldar for you. Used improperly, they SUCK. Used right, there is no beating them. 3nodding I will start playing them soon, I think.

so, if you don't mind me asking, what armies do you play exactly? it seems like your all over the forum but i still have no idea who you play, with the exception of dark eldar, maybe.
are you like some kind of "Jack-of-all-trades" or something? stare

i would say the best thing would be a singing spears exarch with a bright lance since it is basically a bright lance that moves 12" and hits on a 2 or better.
now, realistically, i'd say probibly war walker(s) with bright lances and/or missle launchers. vipers are also very good for this since they move 24" a turn.
my personal favorite is a wave serpent full of fire dragons. even though you can't assult out of closed-top transports you can still unload and shoot (unless im mistaken). and i think fire dragons are more versitile then one or two brightlances anyway. if you want to get really anti-tank happy, you can also give the serpent twin-linked missle launchers or linked bright lances. now if thats not anti-tank, i don't know what is.

Well, I do. Absolutely NOTHING DAMMIT. That is twinky, and you know it.
My idea was twinky... Although with the fire dragons you could fly over shoot with the WS next turn unload the FD move shoot charge if allowed. Also the WS could move and shoot again...

Why??? You play DE and they put the beat down on everything... Depending on the general of course... DE ARE the hardest army to beat in the right hands. If more people played them. There would be a lot more GD being won by DE. The guy in georgia who won GDAtl with his was going to bring Tau and at the last minute changed his mind. Good thing too. He won... DE rock, sure my 1800 points before wargear sits and collects dust. But I quit playing them when i found out I needed to pick up more raiders to make them efffective... Just my laziness really... Also I HATE painting the warriors...

I know. I have yet to lose A 1 on 1 match, other than one where I had 128 points, and my opponent had 800. He was playing IG, so I lost big time. To boot, I rolled VEREY badly. Nothing but ones. He rolled mostly 6's.

Thats a good question... I have often wondered myself what Relkin plays or is he like me and has every codex...

I have EVERY codex, even some out of print ones. As to what I play, well, here is the list, but I have studied almost all of them.

Dark Eldar(Primary), Harlequins(Really Twinky), Chaos Marines(Still working on it, I only have about 2000 points worth so far, and am doing A 7500 point Black Crusade army), Space Marines, Space Wolves 13th company(Yes, two seperate armies), and I have played as the Necrons, and against every other army. As it stands, the most difficult armies I have faced have to be the Tau, and the Necrons, but only when they are played right. Too bad it does not happen all that often.

you know what sucks. I've been looking at the eldar codexs and i've noticed that if a good player plays them and knows what he is doing.... he is close to invencible.
Im also concidering making an eldar army. i've always admired wraith lords.
PostPosted: Tue May 03, 2005 5:30 pm

hmmmm, hearing you refer to the harlequins as "really twinky" starts to give me a better idea of what you mean....

in that case then, i suppose a anti-tank wave serpent w/ fire dragons and exarch inside is just a bit twinky...

That is true of ALL Eldar armies, regardless of being Craftworld, Dark, or Harlequin. One reason I like them. Another is that their fluff is VERY cool.

I think Tau are a bunch of trigger happy cowards! But your army list looks a bit like mine... Black Templar 2400, SMDIY chapter1800, IG 1800, Eldar 2841, DE 1800, Witch hunters 1800. I also got rid of 2 tyranid armies this year roughly 3100 points worth. Used to play BA SM 2000. I have fought a lot of SM never chaos tau necrons or Orks. But have faced all the others. My hardest fight was Dark Eldar with Dark Eldar. That was long and fun...

I love thier fluff. The thing that sucks is that they are all dying off.... slowly and are out numbered greatly in the galaxy. but im sure they'll be fine on thier craftworlds... however many are left anyway. what puzzles me is.... craft world move dont they? why dont they pick a corner of the galaxy and with thier remainding worlds and rebuild thier empire slowly?

Oh Yeah, I am an idiot. I forgot to mention my all Sisters Army. I have A few Inquisitorial things, but not enough to make an Army. Just sisters for the most part. My favorite army, next to the Dark Eldar. And yes, I complain about the Dark Eldar, but that is mainly cause I am the only one around here that plays them.

well, they kind of mention it in the craftworld eldar book. i think its because the craftworlds act like different civilizations. sure they are all eldar, but they're societies are alot different.

i personally think that alot of the fluff you read regarding the eldar would like you to think they are dying out. sometimes i wonder if maybe they aren't as bad off as some space marine players would have you think.....like maybe there is something GW is waiting to spring on everybody as far as fluff goes. after all, eldrad did die in the last black crusade. the eldar have a big gap in their fluff right now......

Well, even I forget some things. Am I the only one that thinks bikes should add to the base stats, and not be counted as upgrades for the purposes of things like working out toughness? It seems to make sense to me that it should work that way, as it does for the Reaver Jetbike squads.

im not sure if i chould be happy that the necrons popped up to destroy the blackstone fortress or to be angry at them for getting eldrad killed.

Angry, they did not do it to destroy the Fortress, they did it to kill Eldrad. That is m opinion though.
