Van reached into the side of hs jacket with his other hand and threw one of the daggers from in side ahead hearing a sharp thud as it stuck into something. "Sounds like wood."

"It means that the Dagger struck something up ahead besides the stone floor and walls. In other words something else." Van thought it was plain to see the obvious reason that the wood sound was important.

"Ah right." Ciara said, feeling stupid for having even asked such a question. "Sorry, I'm not thinking clearly right now." She added with a slight laugh, that statement being completely honest. When she arrived at the school she had one prioty and that was simply to find answers, now she had Van, and he just seemed to mixing up her mind.
Focus, Ci, focus. Go to the damn door or whatever and see what's behind it.

Van chuckled, "We can't always think clearly now can we." She must have felt like an idiot for what she had said.

"Nope." Ciara said with a grin. This would be so much easier if he wasn't here. Ciara then added to herself, her smile faded. Sure, having a friend was a nice thing, but it really was throwing her mind off balance. She always liked being in control, not knowing her feelings or what was happening was a very uncomfortable thing for her. Concentrating seemed to get harder and harder, but she tried to keep herself on track.
"I think it's a door." Ciara announced, upon arriving at where the dagger had been thrown. "Yup, it's a door." She finally concluded, wrapping in seemingly delicate fingers around the knob. What was beyond the door was something she was eager to find out, and she wasn't about to wait for Van to come open it for her. She didn't need protection. She would be fine on her own. Well, that was what she thought until she opened the door and took a step forward.
Screaming, Ciara fell forward, gravity pulling her body down to where there was no floor below. Silly she had forgotten to look at the ground before taking a step, which then resulted in her holding on for her dear life onto a door handle that wasn't in the best of shape itself.

"Damn it." Screaming this time, last time she hadn't even made a sound.
Ciara was too far out for Van to reach with his hand. He had no choice, "Alright babe it's about to get dark but I promise it'll be alright." He made a quick note of where the door was and caught the flaming dagger blowing it out.
Van prayed as he threw the chained dagger that it would sink into the wood and not miss horribly. He heard the soft thunk of the blade striking the wood of the door.
Van pulled bringing the door closer to the edge of the pit listening to the creaking of the hinges to find out how close it was before reaching out to snag Ciara by the back of the collar. "Come on babe. You can't be in that big of a hurry to dye."

"You'd be surprised." Ciara mumbled in reply to his last statement, stretching her arms as she did so. It was true that she had tried suicide in the past, but to her dismay they all failed considering the fact that it was impossible for her to die with the curse still in place. The curse was a nusisance, but luckily for her she didn't even know about it.
"Thanks..." Ciara finally then said, looking towards Van. "But you could've just killed me you know with your stupid dagger trick!" She then added in that snippy sort of way of hers.

Van relighted the dagger. He walked up to the door and yanked out his other dagger throwing it quickly into his home inside of his jacket. "Or you could've fallen to your death while I went back to the surface." Van was being sarcastic of course.
Van walked over and kicked the door off of it's hinges listening for when it hit the bottom. No sound came. The pit stretched from one wall to the other and was to wide to jump. At the other side was another ledge with a door.
Van reached back and put his hair up he was going to need it out of his face and he wrapped the chain back around his waist all while holding the flaming dagger in his mouth by the hilt. He removed it from his mouth and looked back at Ciara, "Alright climb onto my back."

Van hadn't thought about how strange that might sound to Ciara, "Yeah, so that we can get to the other side, just climb on and hold on tight, you can't be heavier than my guitar and amp." Van placed the torched dagger in his mouth and waited patiently.

"What the hell." Ciara said with a shrug, walking closer towards him. It wasn't that she found what he said all that odd, it was just simply hearing it from him. Whenever guys asked her something it was usually perverted, so naturally things like that came to mind.
"If you drop me I will kill you." Ciara said to him, climbing onto his back, and clinging onto him. The fact that she wouldn't be all that heavy was extremely true. She was a rather tiny person even though she had so much strength.

If I drop you you'll be dead. Van couldn't really speak with the dagger in his mouth so he kept his comments to himself.
Van flicked his wrist and let two daggers enter into his hands, they would be sharp enough to penetrate the stone. He walked to the ledge and jammed his dagger into the wall to his right. His heart started to beat heavier, if he messed this up it would screw the both of them over. If it had been just him he would have been fine but Ciara made it that much more difficult. He swung out on the dagger letting the other land in the stone. He was facing the wall now and would have to feel his way around as the daggers were the only things holding them above the chasm. He started to slowly work his way around the hole being meticulous in every movement.
A slight sweat had broken out on Van's fore head and his arms had started to ache by the time that the two of them reached the ledge on the other side and he had to take the dagger out of his mouth to catch his breath.

Ciara, feeling helpless, wasn't even all that stressed as Van made his way about. She had no doubt in her mind that he would make sure nothing would happen to her, the reason why she did not know, but she was still sure of it. "Are you okay, love?" She asked him, hating the fact that she couldn't help him.

Van let out a deep breath and looked at her with a smile. "Great babe, just catching my breath." He held the dagger a light at his side.
