xxP1rateGrlxx Gwendolyn continued her conversation with Linda. I don't know. I was the daughter of a fish merchant. She then turns around and points to Jen. Who are you to think that you could sneak around this tavern unnoticed? Come, sit with us. Have a drink. Jen silently cursed her luck as she got up and joined them. She had a great dislike to company. She trusted no one but herself. She watched them closely trying to understand them better and perhaps know more about them. She also kept a trained eye on them out of habit to watch for any sudden signs of aggresion. She at the same time put on a pleasant smile-not so hard as she had already had some rum before coming to the tavern- and sat down.

Jen had been watching the fight between the large man and the smaller young man. She watched the large man fall dead with complete indifference. She then turned to the girl before her and said: "Aye... Me name's Jen. Who do i have the pleasure of talking to?"

"Pleased to meet you..." Jen acted polite while wondering what this lady wanted. Jen figured she was probably being nice for no reason...a concept Jen had trouble understanding. She continued to smile pleasantly, something especially easy with all the rum she was drinking. She waited paitently to see if the lady was just chatting or if there was anything else. Either way it didn't really matter...because she had plenty of time to kill.

*Linda watched her with some ammusement over the rim of her mug. She was ever amazed at how distrustful Humans were to eachother and how they could never complety hide their feeling and thoughts from their body lanugue. Smiled and acted pleasant then said in a singsong voice with a slight exotic accent that sounded vaguly familar but you couldn't quiet place it.* 'So what brings you to such an...exciting-" *Ducked a thrown mug to smash agaisnt the wall behind her cooly.* "Taveren on such a fine night, Mi'lady?"

Kibo runs into the tavern, and runs up to Gwendolyn, whispering in her ear.
Kibo: Gwen, see if you can recruit these two *gestures towards Jen and Linda* to the crew.
He leans back, and walks up to Jen and Linda, shaking their hands, introducing himself as "Kibo Botch, Captain on the Godspeed." Upon shaking hands with them, he quickly runs out of the tavern, other things on his mind.

Gwendolyn whispers back to her Captain. It'd be my pleasure, sir. She wonders to herself. The Cap'n is so busy. He barely has enough time to come sit and have a drink. The expression on Gwendolyn's face changes. So mates, what buisness do the both of ye have in Tortuga? Doin' anything special? 'Cause if not, I know how you can join the crew of that charming person that just came in. He's a gentleman of fortune he is. Shame he couldn't come and sit with us and have a drink Gwendolyn takes a sip of her drink. Then she sits back and puts the tips of her fingers together.

NOW is when the talk got interesting.
"What of his ship? What sort of ship is it?"
Jen asked with renewed interest. She waited for her answer, wondering to herself about working under the man that had just introduced himself.

Gwendolyn's smile widened. 'I've got her.' she thought. A fine ship it is, lass. Undescribable, faster than any ship, and the crew crazy to boot. So lass, what'd ye say to joinin the crew?

Kibo runs back in, carrying to bottles of fine rum.
Kibo: Here, give them these, whether they join our crew or not.

"Who? Kibo? Not so much of a gentlyman once you know a little of his current situation in life...Besides, why would I, a Captain of a very succsful pirate fleet, join a human crew?"
