 Demyx was staring rather blankly as Sora went through his explanation, the dragon tower obviously not making any sense to him either.
"I er....wow......I didn't know he could do stuff like that..."
The sitarist watched them both as they talked about Riku. He had seen him before, but hadn't caught his name, so he wasn't making a connection here.
"Xemnas is...evil? But he could change...right?"
Green eyes large and curious, Demyx searched Sora for signs of an answer. No one was truely evil...were they? The little blonde had a hard time believing that someone existed for the mere purpose of hurting others. True, he was scared to death of Xemnas and knew the Superior would probably sacrifice them if he had to...but he had his reasons...didn't he?
"No one's really evil...are they Sora?..."
Voice carrying the tone of a curious child, Demyx flicked an ear and continued on.
"I mean...Saix seems really evil, but he's trying to change..."
He shuddered involuntarily as Sora mentioned fading into darkness. That was something he really didn't want to think about anymore.

"Yeah!" he started "It was HUGE! And it roared and Riku and I, we got on this hover bike thing, and we took that dragon down to the ground! ...well...not the ground really cause I don't think there was any ground in that place. It was more of like...nothing I guess."
Sora paused. "Demyx...I really hate to say this...but I thought like you did now a long time ago. I learned that some people really do just want to hurt people to get whatever they want. I've really only met two people who were truely like that though. They turned out to be copies of the same person. Xehanort's Heartless and Xehanort's Nobody...Ansem and Xemnas. Those two people did things to others that I never want to hear about or see again..." He sighed.
Sora's ears twitched. "Larxene! You saw Riku!? Did you see Kairi!? Did you see Donald or Goofy?! D-Did you see Jack, Aladin, Hercules, Ariel, Leon, or even Seifer?! What about Namine, have you seen her!? T-t-tell me! W-who have you seen! I have to see them again! I have to make sure they're ok! After I got back to the island and everything was okay for a while, I tried to go back and see my friends but I ended up here and ... and ... ... ..." Sora flopped onto the ground. "I haven't seen anyone since then...I'm so worried about them...I hope they're okay..."

 Larxene listened to the description of the 'nothing' space curiously, having a hard time picturing what Sora was talking about. She didn't interject into the 'evil' conversation either; she wasn't sure about Xemnas, Saix, or anyone else (apart from those she was with now), but it seemed to her that if real good existed then real evil should too. Having only one extreme seemed impossible to the strategically-minded girl.
She was a little taken aback by Sora's sudden enthusiasm. "I only saw Riku. He was upstairs, in one of the halls, back closer to when I first got here. I only talked to him for a few minutes, but he had one of those blades, like you do. I.. um ..." She paused and rubbed the back of her neck uncomfortably. Sora and he were apparently friends "I kind of zapped him on the butt."

"But...that can't be right...."
Ears flattening back, Demyx struggled to come to grips with the way the world really was. Honestly he preferred to live in his happy 'bubble' where everyone was nice to one another and everything was fine.
But that simply wasn't the way the world was...
"Erf..."
The sitarist watched them as they started talking again. Carrying on their own conversation, Demyx was free to sink back into his own thoughts. The way Sora and Larxene sat close to one another...and the way a simple word had triggered an entire conversation with them...it was like the two were simply meant to be, and honestly it was making Demyx feel rather lonely. He was with friends, sure, but it just wasn't the same.
Sighing, Demyx pulled his knees up to his body, resting his head on them, and wrapped his tail around himself.

Sora's expression to Demyx was still a sad one, shrugging off the last topic for a moment. "Demyx I'm really sorry but...not all people are good. But that doesn't mean all people are bad. I mean...Riku is from the darkness and I'm from the light, and we used our powers for good. So that doesn't mean that darkness is evil. And that doesn't mean anything in between light and darkness are evil, but I guess that doesn't mean everything from the light is good. Am I making sense?" He sighed.
His attention turned back to Larxene. There was silence. "You ZAPPED him on the butt!?" Another pause. Sora bust out laughing. "That's so like Riku! I bet he deserved it too the grumpy silver haired weirdo! He was probably being all rude too right?" Sora lowered his voice and tried to mimic Riku's voice. "Look at me, I'm Riku, I know everything about being a total grump. Roar roar roar!" He doubled over in laughter, rolling around on the ground.

Larxene's head tilted again at Sora's newest explanation. He has a way with words she mused, still not really understanding what he was going on about. Though they did seem to be on the same page, as far as their understanding of good and evil. She found it interesting that he'd said Riku was from 'the darkness', idly wondering if that's why she and the other audio had clashed to start with. Though maybe he's more 'light' than me. Or maybe we're the same. He was dressed like me. Maybe I'm from the darkness too, then.
She was startled out of her thoughts when Sora started laughing, laughing really hard. Larxene found herself smiling, despite her darker thoughts. "He was something like that, yes. I was just curious if he was a threat. Usually a little lightning to the rear will tell you that in a hurry."

Demyx was oddly silent for a few minutes, the blonde male remaining in his slightly curled position. When he did finally speak, his voice was low and timid.
"The lightness and darkness thing is good for you...but what about us? We're not even meant to be here..."
He came off as totally innocent and even stupid at times, yes, but Demyx did know things. He knew that to be there right now, someone else had to have lost their heart, and he truely hated knowing that.
"Besides...what did he do that's so awful?"
Voice raising a bit, and taking on an almost challenging tone, Demyx lifted his head and stared over at Sora. The Superior scared the hell out of him, yes, but it was still his boss. It was somehow right to try and protect him.
"You've done some awful things too, and you claim to be from the light. What's the difference?"

Sora's laughted stopped when Demyx spoke. His face and voice changed. Sora was now serious.
"Demyx, who first said you weren't meant to be here? Who is the one that said you don't have a purpose as much as anyone else?"
He sighed and tried to seek comfort in Larxene by curling his tail around her. "Xemnas did some horrible things Demyx. He purposefully put the lives of many people, including you, in danger just to get what he wanted. You were used, I was used, we were all just little pawns in his game. It wasn't fair to anyone what he did. He hurt so many people just for his own gain."
Sora was taken back at Demyx's last statement. "No one is perfect Demyx. I lost my heart once before too...that's why Roxas exists, and the last time I met him we were fine with one another, he had a purpose and so did I. Just because you call yourselfs Nobodies and the people inbetween that of light and dark, doesn't mean you're nothing!" He gave himself time to pause and think. "You have to figure that stuff out for yourself Demyx, asking someone the answers to a test wont get you any smarter." Sora had just had one of his more brilliant moments at this time. "But what I did, I did to save worlds. If I didn't do what I did, we wouldn't be here right now. If everyone didn't help me, we wouldn't be here right now. We wouldn't be anywhere, we'd be in a very bad place."

Larxene leaned against Sora as his tail snaked around her, letting her tail curl back around him in turn. "I don't feel like nothing," she offered after a moment. "I know I ... maybe I'm really not supposed to be here, but I am. And whether it's a mistake or a second chance, I'm going to use the time that's been given to me the best way I can." She sounded serious and a little distant. "Maybe we were given this time to make up for the awful things we did. Maybe now's when we're supposed to be making our own decisions, and seeing what comes of them, rather than following orders and working into his plans."

Watching their tails snake around each other simply made the sitarist feel even lonelier. Sighing he wrapped his own tail tightly around himself. He honestly wished Luxord was there so he'd at least have someone to snuggle up to and be comforted by as he struggled to understand what Sora was saying.
"...so if you've met your Nobody...maybe one day I'll meet the person I came from..."
Sora's remark that he had to find out things on his own somewhat annoyed the young Organization member.
"That's easy enough for you to say, you already know the answers..."
Demyx's voice had gone back to being low and timid. He really really REALLY wanted to get up and just run off, but for some reason felt afraid to draw anymore attention to himself. Right now he didn't feel like he belonged in this conversation anymore.
"I didn't do anything awful..."
One short whine later and the sitarist had his face buried in his knees, struggling not to burst into tears or put too much attention on Sora and Larxene. He had told Sora he had forgiven him, but things still bothered him. It'd take time to get over that.

Sora gave a slight whine at Demyx's reaction and looked at Larxene for more help. But he supposed Demyx wouldn't listen to much reason, despite how childish Sora was, Demyx was that much more.
"The only reason I know what I do now is because I had to find the answers. No one ever said these things would be easy, and I'm really sorry it isn't just some simple answer. Just understand that I know what you mean by all this."
Larxene's speach gave Sora a little smile. "See...Larxene has the right idea. And even if you didn't do anything -awful-, you really have to stop thinking about the past so much. You have people to talk to now, friends, family, and you know what's right and wrong. So you'll be fine."
Sora rested his head against Larxene, ears twitching a bit. He stared at Demyx a bit. "You look like you want to talk to someone other than us Demyx...maybe you should go talk to that person you're thinking of?"

Larxene zoned out slightly at Demyx's first comment. The idea she could meet the person she came from caught her off guard. Was that really possible? What would that person be like? If she was 'light', would that mean she was better than me? She risked a glance at Sora. They'd both be light, then. He'd like her better. The girl abruptly frowned and tightened her tail's hold on the other audio.
It wasn't until Sora rested his head against her again that she was jolted back into the here-and-now. "Huh? Oh! Um .. right ..." she stammered, trying to figure out what they were talking about. "Um ... yeah, if you'd rather go, you can. We'll see each other again."

Well they were giving him permission to leave...but was it because they felt bad for him or because they just wanted him to leave them alone?
"He's busy..."
Demyx sighed, ears flattening back a bit.
"Luxord had things to do and I was trying to entertain myself til he was back..."
Rubbing at his face a bit, the sitarist lifted his head and gave the best grin he could manage to the other two.
"I'll b-b-be fine...I promise!"

Huh. Larxene was acting kind of weird. Or atleast that's what Sora thought. He'd have to remember to ask her what was on her mind later.
"Demyx..." Sora was at a loss of what to say really, he could only sound concerned. "If you don't feel comfortable around me right now cause of all this that's fine, but you don't need to force yourself to stay because you think you should." His tail still clinging to Larxene for comfort, Sora sighed. "And trust me, I've seen fine before, looking at you, you're scared and upset, and I'm probably not helping at all, am I? Sorry."

Larxene frowned slightly, sad to see that Demyx seemed to uncomfortable with them, and so lonely. She wondered where his friend, Luxord was it?, had gotten to, and hoped for the other audio's sake he'd be back soon. "You're still welcome to stay with us, if you don't want to be alone," she offered, trying her best to sound encouraging (though encouraging wasn't something she did well). "Do you know when your friend is coming back?"
