Choteka woke with a start several minutes before dawn would send the world screaming into consciousness. Her dark skin was slick with sweat, and whatever strands of her shocking white hair had been unfortunate enough to touch her skin were now soaked and matted against her body. She shivered and shook from a nightmare she didn't remember having but the feeling didn't ebb away as dreams tend to do the longer you're awake.

With the same heavy trepidation, Choteka put on her clothes and crept out into the too still morning. Something wasn't right. As she looked around, her chest suddenly began to burn from within like a fire exploded through her lungs. She gasped, completely unaware until that moment that she'd been holding her breath. That explained it, that was the stillness. The whole land was collectively holding its breath in anticipation, and Choteka could not help but become swept up in the sensation.

She quickly padded back to her teepee and grabbed her spear and knife, tucking the latter into the band of the skirt she wore over her pants in the cool fogginess of the pre-dawn. Her body pulled her unwittingly in the direction of the coast, and her golden eyes were on their highest alert as she made her way towards...towards whatever she expected to find at the world's edge.

After Eachann returned to the teepee, they headed to the beach. Streak padded along beside Moema while Molimo perched on Eachann's back. They took the shortest path through the trees and emerged on the nearby beach. Expecting to sea the beach and plains across the water entirely decimated, they were taken aback by the wooden village they had built and whats more, it was almost entirely empty of people. This change made them race towards the Kawani village, hoping for explanations.

Upon reaching the village, it was pretty obvious there weren't many people here either. So, throwing caution to the wind, they headed towards the wooden structure instead.

Eachann and Moema saw more Soquilis and noticed the things on their backs. They stayed back for a moment, then Streak rushed forward towards the middle of the group. Molimo flopped onto the ground and went after her, hoping for a game of hide-and-seek.

Kanati's eyes narrowed as he looked at the pale face's soquilli.
"Greetings."he said finally though his manner still seemed on edge after all. Seeing this soquilli means there has to be a pale face near by.

Anpo tilted her head, trying to catch the strange syllables the man said. When he repeated the first set after pointing to himself, she smiled.
"Jayms," she repeated smiling at him. Pointing to Wambli, then to his mount, she said "soquili....horse" Hopefully he would understand she was trying to get some reference for them! Perhaps if she could communicate with him, they could avoide bloodshed with their peoples.


"What are what? My wings?" Wambli opened them a little to show that they were part of her. "I was born with them since I am a wind soquili.Wanka Tanaka gave them to me so I can fly!"
Shifting back to her curiosty, Wambli rambled on not realizing that the new mare may not have seen wings on a soquili before.
"I am Wambli Zikala, and that is Anpo my two-legger. We live here in the village. Are you going to live here too?"

"Lay-dee?" Nokomei echoed the last word with a glance at the man's mare. She nodded nonchalantly, Either they have a lot of names for their soquili rather than one...or I'm just not catching this correctly... she thought to herself. When the pale faced man, "Geoffrey" held his hand out to her, she stood puzzled for a moment. Not quite comprehending the gesture, but figuring it friendly, Nokomei followed the white man's procedure by whiping her own hands on the soft leather of her skirt then holding her hand out as well. Although, not knowing at all what it meant and hoped it was his custom of bonding or becoming trustworthy to one another.

Oathkeeper grinned and then gave a sparkling sort of smile, "And here we all thought one another to be savages of some sort," He jested, "there's nothing savage about you or your two legger and nothing savage about me or Nokomei. In fact I think your a very sweet mare, no wonder the clouds were so kind to let you all ride upon them to our lands."

Again, giving him a kiss on the cheeks as a thanks. She loved him so much, he does things for her and cared so much about her. Smiling happily, she layed down and finally could rest. "Thank you for introducing me Vib." Then turning her head to the unicorn. "I don't normaly see your type too often." Nodding. For the past few days, she realised how much she nodded to every soquili she talked to.

"Hmm, My name is Kanati. Its nice to meet you both."Kanati said looking at the camps.
"Unicorn soquillis are rare, but more so now as most of us went into hidding right before the arrival of the pale faces.
Speaking of which any word on their actions?" Kanati said staring off at the odd smelling camp of the pale faces.
