hello clarinets! i'm a flute player. i just wanted to say hi for my sis, who plays clarinit. she made it into our county band and she's in 8th grade. unfourtentaly she can't play in the concert because she broke her finger. crying

RinoaHeartilly ~RikkuTheThief~ Let's see...I'm a freshman at Whitmer High School and I have been playing clarinet for...4 years. heart I can't wait for Marching band to start again! Don't get me wrong I love Jazz band, but I wish it were marching season! heart Wow, you seem... oh, what's the word... 'passionate' about Marching Band. xd i can't believe you wrote that on my paper... I had to turn that in ya' know... XDDo you not like concert band? yes i am....lol did u want a good grade or not?lol yeah i know u had to turn it in...itwa good, did u get a grade for it yet/...yeah i do like concert band but not nearly as much as marching band. 3nodding i think most of the songs we play in concert band are boring

I'm only in eighth grade but I've been playing clarinet since 5th grade which makes about 3 and 1/2 years of playing by now. I've done marching band but I did guard both those years so I've never marched with an instrument. We switched back to concert band a few months ago and as of last month I've been second clarinet! whee It may not be the absolute best but out fo 20 something clarinets I am proud of self. And I'm in the county band which is awesome!

Nope, I'm up in Tennessee. sweatdrop Our band is currently recovering from an eight-year loser-streak. whee stare xp
How many clarinets do you guys have?! eek
Eight years? Well, Reagan didn't even exist eight years ago. We're only 6 years old. Yup, we're the brand new school down here in TX...just trying to get our name known. ^_^ Well, we lost getting first at nationals last year by five hundreths of a point. So...that kindof sucked. Imagine losing by .05

We totally rocked this year--for our band...but we DID do pretty well. sweatdrop --and we ended up getting beaten by four other bands (all about twice our size. xp ), all of us a fourth of a point away from each other. gonk stressed Crazy Contest of Champions. eek heart
We have around 200-something members total. whee Hehe, 200 people? Our school is obbsessed with band. Really, not gonna lie: 38% of our school is apart of the band, and there is near 3,000 people in our whole school. Band isn't a joke here. wowie...I think there are about 600 or more band members in my school...I can't remember how much people are there....::thinks for a while:: Woah I think about almost all of the school is in band or half while the other half is drama, choir or some other elective eek !

hmmm...::sniff:: I'm having a bit of trouble with my clarinet <=( eversince I got passed the third break on it it's been making squeeky noises the e (where only two fingers are down) and when I do the d on the second break it squeeks. Then I tried my low G and it squeeked too (obviously it would since the d is the g with the register....). I'm not exactly sure if there is a air leak :Sweat:
we're having a chair test soon I feel it @_@! I'm hoping that I won't get nervous and I'll get a good chair for a beginner...and my second concert is two weeks from now @_@ gyahhh!!

I love my Clarinet. I think playing the clarinet was the best thing that ever happened to me (but playing cello comes close). I've played clarinet for almost 13 years now. Northe Sage_Greene I love my Clarinet. I think playing the clarinet was the best thing that ever happened to me (but playing cello comes close). I've played clarinet for almost 13 years now. I started when I was in 2nd grade, and I am now a first year graduate. I play on my own time now, and to tutor others. Go Clarinets!! Well, I actually didn't start in school. I've been playing my cello for longer than that. I always wanted to play as many instruments as I could (still can't play piano though sad ) I'm able to play just about anything you can think of. I even played flute *cringe* for awhile. I just love my clairnet and my cello. I've got your regular clarinet, then a bass, and now I'm working on getting an alto clarinet. I'm excited!!

I have been playin the clarinet since I the sixth grade and I am now in the tenth grade, so that means five years. WoW! I didn't even realize that I have been playing that long until just now!
