This would be my second year in guard. I joined somewhat reluctantly but, now I love it. Don't have much to brag about, I do flag; nothing spectacular there. Want to do rifle and possibly sabre next season, but the possibility seems pretty low on that. >.<
No winterguard at our school. :[ Mostly cause none of the members would have any time for it. We all barely had time for regular season as it was. Well, yeah that's my guard history in a nutshell. :]

Goddess10123 with my flag im the only one who can toss it up, do a little dance and catch it in one hand( im a freshman) but on the other hand the trombones Hate me because i hit there instruments on accident sweatdrop they still hate me....i feel unloved but i love band i have a flute buddy, a tube buddy, a flag buddy too... i have a LOT buddys w/ all the instruments... except trombones cry !!!!!!!! LOL. That seems to happen a lot. This year a line of guard girls were placed in front of the drumline. Like, literally, three-four steps in front of them. And we were expected to spin, lateral toss and then flip it behind our back while they walked between us. If it weren't for the fact that I knew them all I probably would have been faced with several assault charges for hitting them! xD

I kind of know how you feel, in our show this season I had to do a double right as I was passing behind a trumpet, and during one of our home shows, I hit him right in the middle of the shako and gave him a mild concussion, so now most of the trumpet section doesnt like me. But my drum major loves me for killing an annoying freshman on trumpet ^_^

WOWWW.. eek dang... i joined colorguar this year asa freshie... not all that good tho =( we barely touche rifle.. i can toss doubles tho =] but im terrifie of things flying over my head =.=; so i cant say i like rifle.. flag is okay.. but most of all.. i like the ancing inside colorguard =] hahaha. but eya. and in our istrict wide compettion our colorguard got like.. overall colorguardd XD salyt ehres only 7 cologuar members in our colorguar tho. lols.

I was in band until I joined guard second semester at montclair high school in california. I'm a junior now. Our guard would love nothing more than to leave our flags and just practice tosses. lol We've all be hurt a millon times before so its like whatever now. I do sabre and rifle, I can toss 7s on both, what about you guys?

We are in a giant block and we do a rifle exchange, and there is a brass person between all of us, and they are supposed to duck, but not all of them duck fast enough or far enough.

Third year on color guard, I do tall flag and short flag, I'm also a backup rifle. We don't use sabers b/c they break to easily and there's not much you can do with them. XD
Only thing I can brag about is that our team had second place last year in Illinois IDTA state AAA division for both tall and short flag. XD We're the top team right now to deal with!

Sabers dont brake that easily, I would know. I had to toss a six while back to back with another guard member and turn around and catch their saber. Our instructor doesn't like swing flags because you can nly do so much with them and you can't toss them.

I was in Guard for one season and found that it was not my calling. But I do have a respect for them that I had not before.

uhm, idrk what to say, but i was new to guard this year, next year im supposed to moving on to rifle [you have to do a full season of flag before rifle in my school], and i can toss a triple on flag?

Wow...
I'm in middle school so all we do is normal flag. We don't even get to toss it up in the air!! That makes me so mad...
We don't do rifles either. Grrr...
But sometimes we do little dance things. ^-^
