What really annoys me is that even though Lana has the potential to be a really cool character (as in Superman: The Animated Series or, to a certain extent, Superman III) she's generally just written as being really witchy.
Alternatively, Smallville, where the writers don't care about undermining comics canon, like that Lois is supposed to be the love of Clark's life and not some second fiddler, or like that Clark isn't supposed to be this whiny or emo or this much of a jerk, as long as they get to glorify her as a character.
I mean, I don't dislike Lana on principle; I dislike her because of the way she's been handled.

In the comics, Lana was in love with Clark, but he rejected her. They pretty much went their separate ways, Lana with Pete and Clark with Lois. They never really had any major contact other than the time Lana asked Clark to save her baby.

Well Clark was inlove with Lana at one time. But at that "time" lana wouldn't even give him the time of day because she loved Pete and saw Clark as nothing more then the little geek who tagged along. I mean they were more of friends...kind of like in season 1 to an extent

She frantically digs up casket to find it empty. The chilling uneasy feeling consumes her as she knows what is about to happen. She shakily turns around to find the hideous monster behind her. She reaches for her only weapon but swiftly drops it at the result of a fire hot burn that was shot at her hand. Trying to remember moments of late episodes in season five and early season six, but the monster's powers are too strong and overwelming, it doesn't work. Suddenly the girl is picked up by the monster's loyal and devoted minions. A piercing screech is heard as the girl is forced to go through a painful eternity of Clana.
Is this thread ever going to actually be justified?
