Adrastos snarled at the hyenas as they approached, his long ivory fangs glistened. His orbs intent on one of the male's in the pack that was snarling at the tree, he could smell there was someone in it. His claws unsheathed and ears flared back he roared their attention on him and the other three males with him, including his sons.
Before the hyenas even looked up Achilles was on them like a cat on a mouse, his fangs burried into its neck as it squealed in pain. It could do nothing his weight and muscle mass was way more than it could handle. His claws buried in its side just so it could cause it pain. He felt the nearest female start to attack him.

Knarnia watched Mankato, happy he was getting more comfortable around Adrastos. Her eyes oversaw the departing lions until they were out of reach, the lioness tempted to cheer for them loudly. But, a glance to her small newborns slumbering in peace told her otherwise, turning to Mei instead. "Thanks Mei. You'll have three new friends jumping around soon, once their little paws strengthen."

((Ack! Afu's been left behind!))
Afu trotted after them silently, bowing his head as he passed by Makato, and smiling into Shairi's worried eyes. "It'll be fine mother." He said as he moved faster to keep up with Achilles and his father.
Afu saw Achilles leap into action, and determined not to be left behind, ran full tilt at one of the hyenas, knocking it off balance with the weight of his body. He snarled and a low growl errupted from his throat which quickly became a roar, tearing fear into the hyena's heart as he unsheathed his claws.

A small frightend mew sounded from the tree as a hyena jumped up at the small teal cub."help!" she mewled frightened.
As the other males attacked the hyena's Jigsaw noticed the cry for help. he bounded towards the tree seeing the small teal female, she had puzzle patterns on her tail feathers and ears. his eyes opened wide is shock as he saw her. as he stared off guard for a moment a hyena bowled him over from the side. he let out a startled growl as he clawed it across the face.
Another startled mew came from the tree as the little cub saw jigsaw, a memory came to her mind (flashback) 'your father has puzzle patterns all over like your sister' erosia told the little green cub calmly as she asked about her father 'i wanna see him! were is he!?' gwenn asked curiously 'he is a warrior in the pride of Adrastos' her mother replied. 'adrastos..' the cub repeated to herself as she walked away with out anyone noticing.(end) as she remembered she yelled out again as the hyena hit the tree hard making her loose her balance. "DADDY!"
jigsaw's ears perked up at the call and he flung the hyena off of him. "hang on!" he said instinctively. he saw the hyena grabbing at her and ran at it with a furious roar. he bowled it over and sunk his teeth tightly into its neck. a fathers rage showing.

Adrastos' large maw clamped onto one of the hyena's legs and it squealed in pain, he thrashed his head beating onto the hard savana and then tossed it at a tree whether it was dead or unconsious he did not know and didn't care, whether he heard it or not or felt he missed one of the females running off towards the den, probably smelling the newborn kits upon Adrastos' pelt or anothers.
Achilles watched the limpless mutt for awhile its mangled body and drooling snout disgusted him, to the corner of his eye he had seen a hyena leave as he looked out it had ran out in the direction of the dens. He let out a roar signaling Makato to be weary of it. For he and the others couldn't catch up to it that fast before it reached the den it was to far out of reach.

Tossing the limp hyena aside, jigsaw charged at the next swiping his claws hard against its face and sending it pummling backwards squealing. His eyes shown with the urgency to get to his cub as he tore through the hyenas rabidly. While he attacked one near the tree three jumped on his back. he let out a stunned roar and struggled to get them off. the hyenas clung hard with their teeth buring into his pelt. He gritted his teeth in pain as he continued to struggle for freedom.
Gwenn clung to the tree in horrified shock as she saw her father writhing under the mass on hyenas "daddy! oh somebody please help him!" she sqealed.

Achilles looked at the last three he jumped on two, his azure eyes looking at them fierecly as he pounced them one got a shot at his face and bit it the other tore at his lower leg. He clawed at the ones face and blinded it, it seemed for when it let up it ran into a small bush and fell over the other he had clamped his jaws upon and broke its neck. As he started to stalk the last it got off and ran back to the borders scared shitless.

Jigsaw clawed the last one off of himself and bit its neck furiously breaking it. the hyena went limp and he dropped his shaking off his mane. he breathed a little hard from the struggle and he had a small cut above his eye that bled lightly. "thank you" he said to Achilles bowing his head respectfully to the lunar prince. before running off to the tree that held gwenn.
The samll green cub was shivering up in the tree when jigsaw approched her. "d-daddy..are they all gone n-now..?" she said shakily a green paw over her eyes.
Jigsaw smiled warmly at her "yes your safe now" he said giving her a loving nuzzle before lifting her down from the tree.

Adrastos and Achilles were both bloodied, some their own blood the other was mostly hyena. He looked at Afu, whom was still clawing at one it seemed to Achilles and then to Jigsaw and his daughter, "Hey little one, you pullin' through okay?" he asked smiling. The little kit was still shaking it seemed. He looked up at the vultures circling already they had sniffed out the scattered hyena carcasses. He realized Achilles warning to Makato and hoped he was doing alright to and realized they should be on there way back soon.

"y-yes s-sir" gwenn said shakily "thank you so much for saving me" the little green cub said bowing politely to Adrastos and Achilles, though still shaking.
Jigsaw gave her a loving lick "we should all probibly head back now" he suggested "when we get back you can tell me why you were out here all by yourself" he said a little more sternly.

"'Cause she slinked away."
A lioness stood behind them, gasping for air from running. One could still see the scarlet markings adorning her pelt, but the once imaculate cream was stained with crimson blood, some of visible gashes on the skin, most from another. Two curious heads perked behind hers, one cream and puzzle marked, the other with strange pieces, like fish scales.

"Erosia! your here too?" Jigsaw said a little surprised then looked behind her at the two faces. "so theres three" he said happily . "hello there" he said to the cubs behind her.
Gwenns ears drooped and she stood behind jigsaw sadly "i'm sorry mommy.." she said shuffling her paw in the dirt "i just really wanted to meet daddy.."

Adrastos looked to all of them, and then to the rest he walked off a bit and signaled the others to leave as well so the pair could have decent conversation without three other males intruding starting to pad back to the den.
