Maralyn was reloading her magazine when the alarm went off on her phone. She moved to turn off the alarm and unplug her phone, before she finished packing her things away and cleaning up. When she turned to leave the range, she saw she had a message from Cadie, 'Just tell me a place with a good burger.'She texted the other woman. Lyn didn't have any cravings, but she was always game for a good burger.

Then she was back on her back and on her way to work. It was time to start her working day. At least she had a lunch date to look forward to with Cadence. And as she arrived to work, she found she had another text from an unknown number. She read the text before heading into work, a slow smile arriving on her face, before she texted back,
'Hey, glad to hear she's alright. Sure, that would be fun. I live at 764 Northpark Ct. #3-C, Greensville. She sent the text before heading into the clinic. Two dates in one night. What a lucky day!

However the morning at work was nothing to exciting. Few patients that got in for check-ups first thing, then a spay surgery. As she waited for Cadie's phone call before going on her lunch break, Maralyn made sure all the notes were in the online files of those pets. She even went to check on the small dog that had been in surgery, ensuring she was still doing alright. She probably wouldn't wake up for another hour or so yet.

Wren Ashby

Wren woke up the next morning, well rested and in a pleasant mood. She dressed in her favorite lace dress to punctuate her good mood. It wasn't really a fancy dress, though very cute and stylish, was better suited for comfort or a party. It was also her brothers' least favorite item in her wardrobe, as it was a fully lace knee length dress. She did wear a black slip underneath, but it still showed too much skin in her siblings' opinions, as it cinched in at the waist and belled out in the skirt. She mostly enjoyed their fussing when she wore it, it made her whole day. She did a quick, half assed hair style with the curling iron and Bobby pins, just to get her hair out of her face without looking like a hobo, and very neutral, natural make-up, because really she was just too lazy.
Once down stairs, she whipped up a quick breakfast with eggs and bacon, and gleefully enjoyed her morning of her brother complaining loudly about her dress and snide smile. She ignored them as she gathered her things for the day of work and headed for the car.
Unsurprisingly, the black SUV was already gone, likely left with the rising sun on its tail lights before they ever woke up. The shop opens at noon, so Wren almost never woke up before 10 in the morning. The SUV had probably been gone for hours. "Did you call Millie to ask if she knew anything about what was going on last night?" she finally asked while Ivan pulled out of the drive way.
She really hadn't said much all morning.
Declan shook his head no, "I had intended on calling her in between appointments today if we didn't get too busy." He turned his gaze on her suspiciously. "Why are you so interested? It didn't affect us, we don't need to know or get involved."
Wren shrugged nonchalantly, her mouth frowning down in a very clear "Meh" expression.
"I'm just curious. I mean, if something pops up on the news, I'd like to know the unbiased truth from Millie rather than whatever political bullshit the TV Station wants to come up with. " Wren explained.
They didn't say anything else as they had pulled up to the shop and were piling out and unlocked the shop. They spent the next 30 minutes getting ready before Open. Just as they flipped the sign, Brenen pulled up, ready to work. He looked pretty ragged though, like he hadn't slept well or at all and had a horrible night. But he didn't talk about it and evaded questions.
Declan eyed her with a meaningful expression, but she ignored him, refusing to be suspicious of the new kid just because he wasn't family. Maybe his girlfriend had broken up or cheated on him.
She didn't really believe that, she had a gut feeling something was off. She had missed something important. Maybe information she didn't even know was important even if it was staring her in the face.
She carried on with work as usual, but she was deep in thought even while she drew sketches for her first appointment.

~Cadence Jaycey Sinclaire-Caine~

Candie was enjoying her day trip, and more importnantly she was loving her time with her niece. It felt good to be out and about like a normal person. To be doing some completely normal and mundane task such as shopping for clothing and under garments.

She was struggling to fit her old stuff. She had already been well endowed in the breast department and with this pregnancy, her breasts were tender and ginormous. She felt like if they got any large they would just be plain obscene! Very tasteless and pornographic.

She texted Lyn back.
'Moo Burgers. I head all sorts of great stuff about their burgers. Been wanting to try them!'
She realized in the short time Lynn and her had spent together, reacquainting themselves with one another. She had really come to like and trust Lyn. It would be hard to leave knowing in all likelihood she would never see her, Grace, Kill or Jasper again. Those four were quite easily some of her favorite people in the world already. It would of course be hard to leave Isabelle, though she knew Grace would treat her well.

Cadence realized she had gotten turned about. She didn't panic though. She spent more then half her time lost. She had absolutely the worse sense of direction! Anyone who truly knew her, knew she would be able to navigate her way out of a wet paper bag! Words like North, and South meant nothing to her. She needed words like left at the light. Next stop sign make a right. Those are directions she could understand.

Looking around Cadence saw a tattoo shop. She wasn't sure she wanted to take a baby in there, but everything else seemed crazy busy. She needed directions immediately. So she decided to go in and get directions.

The bell rang as she opened the door. She walked into the waiting area, looking around curiously. Believe it or not she had never been into a tattoo parlor before. She had her ears pieced and nothing more. Those were pierced because her Mother had it done when she was an infant. Other then that Cadence had never gotten anything else tattooed or pierced. She was afraid of needles, so had never seen the appeal.

~Candie~

But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength
And just pull that sh*t out of you and get that motivation to not give up
And not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse.

He chuckled and leaned back in his chair. Clutching his coffee for dear life. He was exhausted but was trying to appear as if he wasn't. After all he had told her he was heading home for the night.
"I know you need about a pot and a half a day to survive." He teased. Orion sipped his hot drink and wished he had bought an energy drink to chase this coffee with.
"Any word on when you can leave...?" He said this carefully. Still not sure what she wanted to do about anything that had happened.
"Geez....your birthday! I am not going to lie, I forgot with everything that was going on. I'm sorry!" He looked angry, and he was. He had forgot her birthday!

this was the first big event they would celebrate as a couple and he had really dropped the ball! Totally screwed this one all up!
"I did get you something. The day you told me your birthday was coming up....I went and bought something. I feel like an a**. I forgot and left it home." He set his drink down.

He had too. His temper was bubbling very near the surfaces. He felt like throwing that coffee and letting his frustrations out in that room. He couldn't believe how off focus he had been lately.
"I will call Cadence and had her bring it, and the baby. I wasn't sure if you would want the baby here...since your recovering."

When she arrived back at the desk, she saw Cadie had messaged her a place. She quickly put it into her GPS to find out how far it was. She then put the files she was working on away, and texted Cadie back,'Sounds great, see you there in 10.'As she left the clinic, she made sure to check with the receptionist that her next appointment wasn't until 2:30, and to call if someone took the 2:00 slot. That should leave her enough time to hang out with Cadie. If the brunette was really going to leave, then well, she didn't have much time with her left. Besides for her cousins, Cadie had been her only friend in Shadow Creek. Surely she would make more, but it was still a lose

She hoped on her bike and drove to Moo Burger, following the directions that her phone told her. When she got there she got a table for two with a high chair. Hadn't Cadie mentioned Belle might still be with her? Lyn didn't really care. The young one was cute in her own way. And Cadence would be toting around one of her own soon enough. The red head ordered some waters for the two females while she waited for her friend, staring out the window. The fall day was nice out, making you forget everything that had been happening.

As Jasper walked back through the warehouse, he followed some doors towards the back that looked like they had had many boots inside and things dragged in. After pounding through the last one he came to a back store room. The shelves were lined with boxes, and on the table were a couple kilos of drugs laid out. Cursing he texted Orion,'Found the outcasts stash back at the warehouse. Want me to burn it?' His insinct said to burn it. Then it wouldn't be making it's way anywhere, but he should get approval first before acting. Wasn't completely his call to make. He just didn't want this s**t out on the streets, especially not with a child of his coming soon.

With that thought, he stepped out of the room and texted Cadence, 'Hey I'm sorry things have been so crazy lately. What do you say we do dinner, at my place? I'll cook something other than spaghettios or mac and cheese.' His two easy go to dishes. But he did owe her some meal. After all she had brought him lunch the say before. And they still had things to discuss with the baby.

Kill sauntered into the Moo Burger. She spotted Miss Maralyn and smiled. He assured the hostess his friend was there and waiting for him. He walked right over to Maralyn and sat himself across from her.
"What's up dollface? Come here often? I wasn't expecting company for lunch, but I am pleasantly surprised." He looked over the menu.
"Know what you want....? You doing okay...? I know things have been crazy, not really enough time has passed for anything to go back to normal for you and now....this..." He waved a hand about.

He pushed the menu aside. He knew what he wanted. He wanted a Black and Bleu burger with sauteed onions and mushrooms. He wanted a side of Bleu cheese for his fries and he wanted an extra large order of onion rings and them smothered in chili and cheese. Then he wanted to wash all that down with a triple thick chocolate shake with chocolate bits chopped up and blended into it. In other words, he wanted his usual.

Grace winked at him and took a sip of her coffee. Loving the way it seemed to remind her of home. He was right, too. Because of her work and everything ok coffee was a vital part of her daily routine. It was extremely sweet of him to remember as well. "I am a coffee junkie. You look tired, you know you didn't have to come here. You look like you need at least a weeks worth of sleep.." She sat the coffee down and swung her legs over the side of the bed so she was now facing him. "They are working on my discharge paperwork now. I should be able to leave in about an hour or so.."

Grace eyed Orion for a moment, moving to place her hand on his knee. "I have a birthday every year. Don't worry about it. A lot has been going on. Plus, I shouldn't celebrate having to get older.." She winked at him and got out of the bed, moving to where he placed her bag. She needed to take a nice shower and get out of the damn hospital gown. "You also didn't need to get me anything. As long as I can spend some time with you and that baby that is enough for me.." Grace looked over her shoulder at Orion and offered him a small smile.

"Don't beat yourself up so much. I love you and Belle, so of course I would want to see her. I just hope I don't scare her.." Grace grabbed her clothes from the bag and tucked them under her arm, turning to Orion. "I don't want to go to my house and be alone...so, would it be okay if you took me back to your place?" She leaned against the door of the bathroom for a moment, then opened it and went inside to shower.

As her phone went off again she glanced down at it. She was expecting it to be Maralyn again, she was surprised to see it was Jasper. She couldn't help the small dorky smile that appeared on her face from even a simple text from him. Nor could she control the flutter she felt inside. She was totally in love with the guy and in denial about it.

She wasn't even sure how it had happened. She had a crush on him, it passed ages ago or so she thought. She saw him again and she was attracted to him. Made sense, he was a very good looking man! He made her laugh, and she loved that he was as sharp witted as she was. He could hold his own.

She had not been looking for love, or any sort of relationship. She had been looking to come to town for a damn funeral and to go back to her life. Instead....everything else had happened! She wasn't sure how either.
'Sure. Dinner sounds nice. I am glad your okay. Brink let me know. Want me to bring anything? Dessert?'

She had no idea why she was going to his place. Dinner was a mistake, but she had been unable to make herself say no. She wanted to be around him. He was like a drug, kept her coming back. She knew she should just stay away from him but couldn't. This would only hurt more when it was time for her to leave.

She was so confused by all of this. She had never been in a relationship other then Devil where she wanted to be around the person constantly. In fact it had always been the opposite with Alex. She had always hoped he would come home extremely late and drunk. Hoping he would pass out in the living room so she wouldn't have to be intimate with him. Which rarely happened, but normally did so if he was drunk and home early.

Cadence had never really considered herself a sexual person. She had just never enjoyed it, and never really wanted it. That was until....Jasper. Now she was very interested in it. Only with him, though currently she was frustrated. The thought of any man touching her ever again made her sick to her stomach, and made her want to freak out. Another part of her wanted Jasper to touch her, and kept telling it it was okay. That she would even in fact enjoy it. It would not be anything like those other horrible men.

Jasper made he feel safe, and like she could trust him. She felt like he was a man she could totally depend on to be there. He was patient, and he never pushed her. He totally just backed off and allowed her to work things out on her own. That was nice after all the men that had tried to run her life already.

Orion shook his head and frowned. "Birthdays aren't about years, The age you turn, that doesn't matter. They aren't meant to celebrate the passage of time. A birthday is to celebrate another year of living. You should always celebrate each, day, week, month or year your alive. You never know when it will be your last. I am a firm believer in living each day like it is your last. I rather live to be 35 and know I truly lived and enjoyed life, then live to 100 and have lived the most boring uneventful life ever. What is the point of living if your not going to laugh, love, dance, eat and be merry? I say laugh the loudest, live the wildest, party the hardest. Nothing else matters at the end anyway." He looked at Grace.
"You women are looking at life all wrong. It isn't quantity, it's quality. I am going to make sure Isabelle knows that when she gets older." He stood up and went to the window, being sure to take his coffee with him.
"We will do something nice to celebrate when your feeling up for it. We'll include Dereck too. Tonight will just be us, and Belle if my sister ever returns my child."

In reality Orion was exhausted and wanted nothing more then to sleep. He was grateful Cadence took Isabelle. He knew she would guard the baby. As wild and reckless his sister was, he also knew she had a huge heart and was extremely responsible. She would guard the baby with her life.

Once Grace was in the bathroom and he heard the water running, only then did he look at his phone. It was a message from Jasper. He read the message, and responded.
'Pack it up. It is needed for a deal.' He sent back. He was buying more backing from another local MC. Getting rid of the competition for this MC, or at least cutting back on it. This would ensure this MC would back the Reapers and Angels.

Maralyn looked acros from her as she hear the chair scrape backwards and a male voice begin to talk to her. She was relieved to see it was just Killian, a member from the MC her cousins were apart of, and the man that had fixed her bike so many weeks ago. She smiled,"Well, hello Killian. I am certainly surprised to see you here as well. I was just waiting for Cadence. Is she ok?"She raised the glass of water to her lips as the man across from her gazed over the menu. She had to admit he was a good looking man, however much she was confused at the moment for his presence here.

She nodded her head as he asked if she was doing alright.
"I believe I know what I'd like. But when something happens, its gotta flood, right?" Something her grandmother always use to say. All the bad usually came in threes or well, came all at once. Lyn only hoped for now that it was over. She sat back in her chair with a sigh as a hand ran through her red hair, "What is normal anyway? Nothing will be the same, but that's life. You move on. I am feeling better after getting sometime this morning to de-stress." At least that's what she called her time at the range. Sure she didn't really get any sleep last night with everything, and only a little the night before that before being woken by nightmares. But she knew slowly they would fade and be just that, nightmares. It all took time. It had only been...what 3 days since her and Cadie had been freed? She would just have to remember to pick up a coffee on her way back to the clinic, or at least before she went out tonight. "How is everyone with the club holding up? You guys have been mighty busy these last few days."

Jasper smiled as he read Cadence's text. After everything she had been through, he was just glad she wanted to spend any time with him, someone of the opposite sex. And also, well with their history, that she wanted to be around him at all. No it hadn't been all bad. In fact it had been rather good, if you asked him. Something, someone, he defiently was ready to give up. He had been waiting for, and when she went to boarding school, he had thought it was all over. But then she came back and had given him time of day to prove to her he was worth it. Now he just had to keep doing that.'I won't leave you that easily, rest assured. Dessert would be good. But don't stress over it. I'l be at the shop this evening, so swing by whenever your hungry.'

Jasper continued to walk around the area, not moving far from the room, as he waited for Ryder's text. And when he finally got it, all he could do was stare for a few minutes. He didn't have a right to question the man's motives, but why would he want drugs in Shadow Creek? Isn't that what they fought against? With a shake of his head, he went back into the room and stuffed what was on the table in a bag. Then he walked back out, grabbed the can of gasoline he had found and set it in the middle of the room. Jasper picked up the bag of drugs he had saved for Orion, before opening the lighter in his pocket and tossing it on the gas can.

There was no way they needed all those drugs, and well he wasn't going to let anyone get at them either. So Ryder would have what he needed, and the little left over would be gone. Before he headed to the clubhouse he texted Orion back 'I'll leave the bag in the safe in the meeting room at the CLubhouse.'And that was what he did, before heading back to his own home and shop to relax some.

Killian gave a Maralyn a big smile. "The Club is just that....busy." The waitress returned and he looked at Lyn.
"Ready to place your order? Cadie is fine I am sure. She is probably a bit late. She is traveling with the baby, probably an adjustment for her. I am trying to give her a bit of space. I know Orion wants us to keep an eye on all you pretty ladies, I know you girls are fine though." He sipped the glass of water.
"You should come kick it with us at the Club. Once everything calms down."

He leaned toward Lyn and playfully tugged at her hair. "The twins are glad your here. Like excitable little puppies." He chuckled.
"I am looking forward to you coming by more often. Think you, Cadence and Grace will be great friends. All finding yourself involved in our business one way or another."

Lyn couldn't help but return the man's smile. And she only hoped he meant busy didn't always mean busy in this fashion. But then the waitress was there. Lyn turned to her ordering a BBQ infused Cheesburger, and waited as Killian placed his order and the waitress left to continue their conversation. "Well at least one of you has brains to give us some space. And it's probably some good practice for her.She responded in a joking tone. It was good to know nothing had happened to Cadence in the short time she hadn't seen the girl.

Then he mentioned her coming by the club. She tilted her head curiously. She couldn't see anything wrong with that. His company so far was proving enjoyable and she'd get to see her cousins. However as he tugged playfully at her hair, Her eyes closed momentarily trying to remind herself he wasn't going to pull or use it for leverage as they had done just days ago. He wasn't them, and was only being friendly.

She forced a smile and laugh as he mentioned her cousins attitudes,
"Those two are a hoot, and mean well. Well hopefully all this business is over for now. I wouldn't mind coming to hang out with you guys at the club. Don't know how much you'll see Cadie there. But I think it's time I met this Grace as well."

'Okay.' He sent back to Jasper. Orion knocked on the bathroom door. He cracked the door and called in.
"I will be back in a couple of hours. Something came up. If you want to leave right away, Kong is outside. He will be able to take you back to my place. I won't be long. Promise. Happy birthday Gracie."

With that Orion was gone. He went to the Club to get what Jasper had left. He rounded up the twins and a few other members. He had them ride out with him to the meeting place.

He traded the other group the drugs. They would trade the drugs for guns. All of the drugs and guns were out of Shadow Creek's limits. That was all Orion cared about. He was pleased that they had about another 20-30 bodies backing them.

Finally he was heading back to SC. He would be happy to be home. To be back with his mini family. He would call a meeting for the next day, but for the moment he needed to tend to his family.

Once he was out in front of his building he felt a sense of calm settle over him. He finally went in the building and went up to his sister's apartment. He was displeased to see she wasn't there with the baby but he understood she probably didn't want to be alone away from everyone else.
'Bring my daughter home.' Orion texted his sister.
