Naosu was holding the lamp Claire had given to all the wood-gatherers like a lifeline. She couldn't see one whit in the dark, and even the most benign of forests still made weird noises. Still, she had done her part, albeit small, and was now done the task. She was a bit owl-eyed when she got into camp, and didn't notice T'kani right away. When she did, she nearly dropped the lamp in relief--but fortunately didn't, for that would be bad.

"T'kani!" She exclaimed joyously. "Naosu doesn't think she likes gathering wood in the dark so much. You were on the tents, right? Did you do okay?" She pat T'kani's shoulder instead of taking her hand like she wanted so her friend would be able to answer her. "Naosu thinks she's going to have this lamp pried away from her." She giggled. "It sheds light in more directions than Naosu's flashlight does."

Nashira waited until Callixtus has safely handed off his camera before attempting to make him dance. "You don't have to dance with just your feet." She said softly, moving her arms and shoulders for emphasis. "Dancing is for the whole body." She twisted at the hips so her shoulder could gently nudge him. He looked... about as pensive and tense as she usually felt around people. Dancing and studying always relaxed her. Since she didn't bring books, she hoped that dancing would help relax him too. Besides, after a good dance, they were likely to sleep like rocks! She heard Samhain mention taking pictures as well. Nashira would have to remember to get her little camera out tomorrow for pictures. OH! She still needed photos with Neptune and Patches and Zahneel and everyone from the bus. She would have to do that a little later though.

Nashira twisted, pivoting on her heels and sank into an almost squat before stretching back up. She was just REALLY enjoying herself.

Xerxes blinked, eyebrow arching at the sound coming from Niamh’s stomach and couldn’t help but smile a bit. When her cheeks flushed red, he had to turn away from her — acting as if he was too involved in organizing his things to notice — lest he start to giggle. He didn’t want to laugh at her but the sound, combined with her blush had been too good. When he thought he had himself under control, he turned back to her and nodded. “Food sounds good. Especially after all this work we’ve done.”

They moved off towards the food, falling in line to grab their plates. He watched as the chimera grabbed a big plate full and raised both eyebrows. Most girls he’d spent any time around had done their best to eat as little as possible in front of others. It was nice to see someone that didn’t care about such silly things. Soon his attention was drawn to the food. He was slightly disappointed by the hotdogs, wrinkling his nose up at the smell. It wasn’t that he didn’t eat meat — he just didn’t eat hotdogs. They had never been a favorite of his.

He glanced towards Niamh as she spoke, shaking his head in response to her statement. “I don’t care what you eat. Personally, I love meat. Just...not hot dogs.” Thankfully, though, Xer didn’t mind salad and he loved fruit. So, he grabbed his plate and began fixing him up a salad big enough to count as a meal and added some of his favorite fruits on the side. “Strawberries are my favorite,” he said sheepishly as he added on a few extra strawberries after staring at the bright red fruits for a bit.

Sorry, sorry! OTL It's not that IRL ate me...I was just so work out yesterday and easily distracted. Meant to reply but got caught up in a couple of games. =P

Bridgette smiled proud of those who had set up tents. They had done such a good job and had done so much hard work. She stretched and got up walking over to the food. She grabbed a few hot dogs and a stick to roast them over the fire. She also grabbed some salad and a plate along with some chips. She walked into the camp ground and sat down to roast her hot dogs to eat and once they were done she began to eat them. She hadn't realized how starving she was until she ate the food. She scarfed it down and enjoyed the night sky after she ate the food. She would sit out here for a bit longer then go to sleep. Who knew what the next day had in store for them? She wanted as much rest as she could get so as not to crash when she needed her energy most. She yawned and stayed out for a little while then moved to her tent and settled down to sleep for the night. She was exhausted from all the work and carrying the firewood. She closed her eyes listening to the music of the forest as it lulled her to sleep.

User Image"Ooh, roasted hot dogs sounds delicious!" she responded eagerly, "as for the sticks, I'll just grab a few of the smaller bits for the fire; I know I brought over some pretty pathetic pieces." With an innocent shrug and a grin, Bebe turned to drag Samhain towards the food. "You certainly sell flitterats, Sammy!" she joked, smiling cheekily at him, "how can I not buy one now, huh? If the lil' fella tried to get through my books, Fluffy would tell them what's what." Having moved Dublin to her shoulder, Bebe was stroking his nose absent-mindedly, very glad to have something cute and fluffy to pat. "Hm, you are the right colour for the cat..." she mused as they reached the food table, waiting for some space to be cleared, "but seeing as I'm a bakeneko, I suppose I'm the delivery girl and the mascot all rolled into one! Gosh, it's a hard life."

Nadinia grinned as Claire declared the wood collection complete. ... And that it was dinner time. She could feel a slight gnawing in her stomach, as all she'd had since boarding the bus were a couple of candies. Thinking about dinner, her stomach let out a low rumble. The Dryad smirked, and ambled towards the dinner set up.

She eyed up the pasta and the salad, allotting herself a scoop of each. She also spotted the fruit, and scooped up a few choice pieces. She wasn't a meat eater, and didn't feel like roasting a veggie dog over the fire. She felt like she'd handled enough wood for the day. Letting out a yawn, she made her way back to her wood collection group, smiling at the dancing and singing. She quietly settled herself down, looking forward to going to sleep shortly.

Tambre was glad when the gathering was over. She sat down on one of the log benches and took a plate, gathering some of the hotdogs and various other food items. She leaned back, taking a couple bites. She was glad the sky was clear tonight and that she could catch sight of the stars above them, it had been much too long since she last went star gazing, though the stars were slightly different here than what she remembered back home.

User ImageShe settled down into a comfortable spot, and smiled up at him, not even realizing how much food it might seem to others. She'd never noticed that other girls did that, and she'd have laughed and said it was a SILLY thing to do if anyone told her, or suggested SHE should do that. Her body was growing, and she wasn't a tiny thing. She intended to keep herself well fed, and healthy.

When he spoke about the hot dogs, she tilted her head. "Oh? Huh. Ok. I love 'em, especially if they're properly grilled, and crispy on the outside. A little relish, a little ketchup, and just... MMM. If you have tater tots to go with them, life is just WONDERFUL. Or at least, so I think. I love sausages, though, all the ones I've tried." She shrugged, and bit into a hot dog, a blissful look on her face. "Mrrrrrm. Fuuuurd." She paused, BLUSHED even redder then before, and swallowed. "Sorry! Didn't mean to talk with my mouth full. It just made me feel so much happier to make my grumbling stomach feel better." She glanced at his strawberries, and grinned. "I like 'em too... But I prefer them on shortcake with whipped cream, or covered in chocolate. Or on ice cream, that's good too." She took a few more bites, looking just happy, then added "You never said... DO you want to go look at spectrefoxes together when we get back?"

When the tents were finished, Bibiana practically fell out on the ground. Soo many tents. She turned when she heard Ghester calling her and when he got close enough, she threw her arms around him to hug him. "Hey!" she grinned. "It was okay! I pitched soooooo many tents," she giggled, completely missing the innuendo in her words. "How was wood gathering?" she wondered, head tilted to one side as she looked up at him with her arms still wrapped around him. It was probably weird, but she had missed him for the hours they had been apart.

She could practically hear his tummy rumble at the mention of dinner being available, and hers made an answering noise. "Mmm, food smells great, right? Let's go nab some before it's all gone!"

Callixtus watched as she danced, slightly jealous about how easily shoved and how comfortable she seemed. Not much, just a little. His brows knit together as he attempted to move in similar motions to those she was preforming, with little success. He probably looked like an idiot, but at least he hadn't yet stepped on her toes. He couldn't promise himself that he wouldn't if they danced for too long. He would have to hope that since she was more graceful than he by far, she would somehow be able to dodge any potential toe-smashing. "Oh. Well. Umm. I am... not very good at this." He said, managing to mumble and stammer at the same time.

"You are doing fine." Nashira tried to encourage him. She took his hands once again as she continued to dance. It wasn't until the music stopped and the others returned with the food that she came down from her dancing high. She realized, after a moment, that she had sort of forced Callixtus to dance, and maybe he hadn't wanted to?

Quickly letting go of Callixtus's hands, she stared at him owlishly. "I'm sorry. This was probably really rude of me." She actually felt bad. She couldn't recall ever being so... assertive. "It's just that dancing is so much fun, and more fun with other people, and Azure's playing was so nice, and everyone else was doing something..." She was babbling a little. After a deep breath, she stopped talking. "...W... maybe we should eat before it gets cold." Well, that was possibly the most foolish thing she'd done in... well, ever. She covered her face before plopping down on the ground near Azure, a few paces away from the gray dryad whom she didn't know. Oh crap! There had been a stranger! She made a fool of herself, and possibly forced Callixtus to feel foolish too.

Sitting at the fire, Coralie was busy writing in her journal about everything about setting up camp. She sadly hadn't of been the best at setting up tents, but she did manage to two some. For now she just needed to relax and rest for the trip up ahead. For sure it would be a long one, so rest was important.

Entry 2

We finished the tents and collected all the firewood we would need for the camp. I wasn't too much of a help sadly, but I did manage to get up a few tents. Oh! And while I was on the bus I got to talk with Clyde and Aurora! The two of them seem pretty nice, although Clyde seems more like the shy one and Aurora and outgoing one. Perhaps I can buddy up with them for this trip? Hope so. I rather enjoyed them both.

As azure watched them dance his song soon came to an end. he took his food from Samhain and put it down beside him " thanks for getting food for me " he said as he looked to Callix. " If you want i can hold on to it for you. I am done playing music for the moment ". after offering to hold on to it for him he began to eat his food, taking his time not wanting to get messy. Azure strongly disliked being messy or sticky so he always ate neatly and carefully, he was having a good time. but he wondered what the next ay would hold for them.

He caught a bit of what the Dyrad was saying or at least the important bit where he had to add hot dogs to the list to come back. Ah well that wouldn’t be too much trouble. He did cast a quick eye to see how Dublin was doing, but the flitterat was having fun shoulder perching and he knew that his familiar would be perfection fine. “Haha well they get less mischevious if you have other familiars. Luckily I have two others so Dublin gets a bit of company. As such I could probably sell Salamanders and Nezubats to you as well, well actually any animal. I’ve always known I wanted to do something with medicine, and I had a few years where I thought seriously about becoming a vet. However it’s more likely that I’ll end up in People medicine.” He pointed out.

Samhain grabbed the food items everyone requested and did a very careful balancing act as he held his section of the food he was bringing back. It should be enough for everyone, and he wasn’t afraid to make multiple trips if he had to. “that is true, although the green and vines definitely weren’t on the cat, but yes definitely quite the hard life, but you seem to do it quite well”

Returning with the food, he kind of set all the paper plates down on the blanket of his he had been sitting down on earlier. "Hey we return with food. Since some of us where kind of vague, We got a little bit of everything. So take what ever you want."

T’kani watched all of the wood gatherers slowly make their way back to the camp, bouncing slightly when the familiar Fey appeared, tilting her head slightly at how she seemed to be clinging to the lamp. She figured that being from the Above would help the situation, but darkness is darkness apparently.

She tried to smile at Naosu’s question, having had similar luck with the tents.
I put some of them up, but it must have taken more effort that I thought. Towards the end I had such bad luck… Glad it’s done.
She brushed some more dirt off of her clothes to demonstrate, glad that she had opted to wear pants instead of her usual skirts.

Motioning behind her towards the center of the camp, she was about to continue, but realized that her friend might not be able to ‘hear’ her in the dark like this. Not to mention standing out by the edge of the woods probably wasn’t a terrific time. Instead, she stepped up to the Fey and gave her a quick hug, then took her free hand and gestured towards the camp again as a silent invitation to head back.
