Rylee fidgeted a little bit as she stood in front of Ty's desk. The tealette's always dealt with body image issues ever since she was a child so she couldn't help but worry even more about how she looked. Ty not seeming to recognize her at first didn't really help either. Did... Did she really look that bad? "A-Ah yeah... Not really by my choice though..." She said softly while bringing her hand up to wrap her finger with a short tendril of hair before slowly uncurling it and letting her hand drop. "Is it as bad as I think it is?" She asked before shaking her head. "Wait. Don't answer that." She said before biting her bottom lip a little bit. How was she feeling? What a dreaded question. She could lie and say she was feeling better, but that would obviously be a lie. Letting out a long sigh, Rylee gave a slight shrug of her shoulders. "Still not great... I sleep all day but still feel exhausted... I still can't seem to keep a meal down either." She said softly, rubbing her arm a little. "It's been a week and a half since I've touched a bottle of alcohol though... so I suppose that's a plus." She said with a small, but clearly forced chuckle. "It's been hard though... I can't even look at his texts... it's too painful." Seeing the texts of Alex begging for her forgiveness, for her to come back home, or for her to even simply speak to him. It was like being repeatedly stabbed in the heart with a dull knife. It wasn't like she didn't want to, no... that was the issue. The issue was that she wanted to forgive him. She wanted to go back to that house and throw herself into his arms and kiss him. To tell him that she loved him. This wasn't about what she wanted to do though, it was about what she needed to do. She would always love Alex. That was a given... but she couldn't allow herself to get hurt by him again. She's given him so many chances already and each chance ended with her getting hurt. She couldn't allow herself keep doing that to herself. Frowning a little bit, Rylee shook her head slightly while sniffling and wiping away the tears that were beginning to well up in her eyes. "Um... What about you? It's been a while since we've spoken."

✗ w/ Rylee ┋✗ In the Office ┋ ✗ Wearing: Pelle Pelle ┋ ✗ Status

Only considering after a few long seconds that this may well be more than a pleasant and brief talk about pay checks and day charges, Tyrese queasily rounded his desk and pushed his door to, returning to the same area afterwards to remove the boxes scattered on his desk. Motioning to the chair across from him for Rylee to take, he did the same only if he saw he moving to do so. He would only mimic what she showed resell to be comfortable with; after all, and it could just be her tired appearance, but she seemed wary while standing there. "How not?" The author asked as Rylee claimed the hair cut was involuntary. He remembered cutting his and how strange he felt about himself, now missing something he'd had for a decade or longer. He took a great amount of pride in his hair and it had a meaning for him, aside from the initial admiration for the Elvis-esque look it gave him. At one point he'd looked at himself in the mirror and felt a complete stranger looking back. For that, he'd told himself he needed a change and had used that hair cut to empower himself.

Rylee looking so different, perhaps it would become the same for her. Opening his mouth to continue the conversation, the author's voice cracked as he was stunted for a reply. Pausing only slightly, he answered her question politely as he could, hoping she wouldn't mind such after asking him not to. "It's actually the complete opposite of that. It looks great, like you're...a different woman..." He'd shake his head, trying not to make the compliment sound awkward. Still, he had been serious- He hadn't been completely sure he knew the person who had walked into his office at first. Turning to click on his electric kettle, Tyrese would lay out a selection of tea as he listened and nodded to the tealette, meeting her eyes every so often as she spoke. This sounded familiar. Spending a week or more not leaving the bed -outside of caring for Sela,- doing nothing but rolling under the mercy of a pain you had had no part in asking for or deserving, trying to drown it out with any vice that worked. "That is a plus! It's...honestly really good, Rylee. It took months for me to get to that point."

Concurred the father, pouring two mugs of steaming water and motioning with his hand in an offer to let her peruse his selection- The serving cart was on wheels, he could easily push it over if she'd rather he not go about serving her personally. HE still needed his tea, choosing lavender honey and moving the cup to his desk to sip on. The wolf nodded his familiarity with her words, feeling half conflicted in memory of his own experience. He wished Lillian had left more than one letter, that she had bombarded him with texts reaching out to him. He could only bitterly blow bubbles into his drink as he imagined Alexus even attempting to fill that communication with excuses and scapegoating like Lillian had. Was the reaper doing such a thing? If he was, Tyrese was only glad she hadn't looked at his texts. As a silence entered the room, Tyrese studied his manager's face, wondering what was on her mind. Whether they were the same- desperate to go back, but knowing an easy forgiveness would never get their partner to change let alone see the consequences of their own actions. If he hadn't cut Lillian off, she would not have understood she could really lose him.

And she had thrown that to the wind even still, because of it, even. "It gets easier." He began gently, hoping she wouldn't feel so alone. He had isolated himself but had wanted more than anything to feel like an ally was there. His best friend had turned tail and feed him with spite, but Tyrese would never be that in their friendship. Grabbing a box of tissues, Tyrese leaned forward and placed the box on the surface she sat beside. "I've been okay, Rylee. I can't remember the last time we talked-" He paused thoughtfully, conflicted and considerate. Perhaps if he was vulnerable, she wouldn't feel too put on the spot about what was going on. She might not want to talk about it, and he respected that. "Lillain- Ah, um, Sela's mother was shot and killed back in May. It was rough, it still is. I wasn't dealing with it so great, but it got easier. I'm still keeping an eye on Sela, I wonder how it's going to effect her." Sighing, Tyrese turned the handle of his cup to the far left so he couldn't knock the cup over. "I've had help, and, I want to say you do too. But anyway, what brought you in today?"

Rylee glanced up at Ty and gave a soft sigh. "Well, when your hair was as long as mine, it requires daily maintenance... So when you go two weeks without washing it in the shower let alone bothering to brush it... the tangles were unmanageable... cutting it was my only choice." She said softly before blinking in surprise and glancing up at him, a blush slowly making way to her face. He thought it looked good? Was that true or was he just being nice. Either way, the compliment was welcomed and kind of needed. "T-Thanks... It's weird getting used to it though." She said before giving a small smile as her holding back on drinking was complimented as well. "It was extremely hard... but getting drunk every night wasn't going to do anything to help me... and I felt like my mother... sitting there downing alcohol as fast as I could... that was my main motivation for not doing it." She said, her small smile having turned into a slight frown. Seeing all the alcohol bottles on the ground and being barely able to walk at times.. sure that was still much better than that woman who would often abuse Rylee while she was drunk, but even that slight resemblance was enough to make the young woman stop right then and there.

Watching Ty, the tealette slowly stepped over to the cart, carefully glancing over the selection offered, she selected the some one Ty had. Rylee wasn't much of a tea drinker, usually preferring coffee but right now she wasn't really interested in the taste. She just wanted the warmth the drink would offer. Picking up the cup and taking a sip, Rylee walked over to one of the chairs and took a seat. Resting the cup on Ty's desk, she stared at it a moment and sighed softly. Hearing Ty's words made her frown a little bit. "It did the first time... but this time... the pain is different. The first time it was mostly anger. This time... I feel so empty..." She said softly, eying the tissues as they were pushed closer to her. Grabbing one, she used it to dab at her eyes a little bit before wiping her nose. Tightly holding on to it, she glanced at Ty again.

"I think it was two weeks ago." Maybe a little bit longer. Two and a half weeks? She hasn't really been keeping track of the days very well. Hearing what Ty said next shocked the tealette. "I'm so sorry to hear that." She sad softly. Even though Lillian had hurt Ty and Rylee herself hadn't been a big fan of the woman to hear she died was sad, but in the way that Rylee was concerned for Ty and cute little Sela. "Yeah. I'm sure losing a parent is hard. Even if she's not quite old enough to fully understand what's happening. At least she has a wonderful father to help her out though." Rylee said, offering a small smile. Rylee herself didn't have much experience with death other than the time her childhood pet had been run over. Her mother's side of the family had shunned her mother before Rylee was born and her father's parents passed away when she was too young to actually remember them.

Staring up at the man, Rylee smiled a little bit. "I really appreciate the help you've already given." She said. Letting her stay at the hotel and letting her have two weeks off of work. It's more than what most people would do. Ah, right, she had come in for a reason. "I've been thinking for the past couple days and I came here to say that I'm not one hundred percent sure if I'm ready to get back to my duties here...but I think I should... I need to start getting out of that room and at least doing something to occupy my mind and distract me from all these feelings... I'm scared I might do something bad if I don't..."

“Oh…” Tyrese replied slowly, almost whispering in quiet observation as he studied Rylee a brief time longer. He was able to clearly envision Lillian back in their teenage years, back when her hair was that long- to the back of her thighs or at least close to there. He had adored any length he could run his hands through on a regular basis, not at all knowing it took much more maintenance than some serious hours of using his hairdryer first thing after she got out of the shower. He nearly chuckled in remembrance. People could have good memories of bad relationships, couldn't they? Wasn't it normal for bouts of missing her to come to him in peaceful billows and flutters? Sometimes the pungency of her desertions followed those pleasant swells, and other times he was allowed his reverie back in time. He didn't envy Rylee being in the early days of this kind of heartache, and he'd have her spared from it if it was in his power. Was it inappropriate to ask what Alexus’s excuse had been on this occasion? Why had he done it after— how many years of marriage?

Then he nodded. He could understand the concept of a haircut being a big change, he had thought the same about his own and he hadn't cut nearly as much. Tyrese took an indulgent sip from his cup, lifting both brows at the first mention of the tealett’es mother. ”We've got that in common.” He agreed dryly, shaking his head and turning the mug handle away from himself once more. One of the bigger motivational factors in his own recovery had been his likeness to his mother, incapacitated to the point of being of no good to anyone; in his case, he didn’t want to be in that state if Sela should need him, even if he had the good sense to wait until he put his daughter to bed whenever he needed alcohol to numb his problems. Aubrey had said something to the effect of cheering him up, but deep down he wasn’t any less fearful of proving his mother’s accusations right and coming up short again; even more so, he never wanted to find himself beyond the point of rehabilitation. Perhaps he understood Rylee better than either of them knew.

Both of them saw their drinking for what it really was, and discerned from whom the addiction (in his case) was passed down -a generational curse, he’d be taught; Rylee was doing well to have found her resolve to stop within a few weeks. He wouldn’t dare to say she was coping much better because of it, however, given the reason she was compelled to cut her hair and how unrested she looked now. How was she hoping to subsist moving forward? Well, the wolf could at least say it’d get better and mean it, even if Rylee wasn’t as hopeful. There were stages to these things, and in the end she wouldn’t stay feeling empty if she choose not to, even if she and Alexus never reconciled their marriage. There was a stronger compulsion to after one said their I dos, after all; not like what he’d felt coming out of a three week relationship. Tyrese knew they had to try just as much as Bree and Finn would have to, regardless of the context in the bar owner’s case. Rather than push advice on his manager continually, the author nodded his support, making sure Rylee had a coaster for her drink while she dried her face.

The wolf shook his head after a moment, ”I mean a personal conversation that doesn’t happen exclusively in the middle of a crisis.” It was a half joke, but they were on two sides of the same coin in terms of why they began confiding in one another. One cheated soul to another. Turning the thought over, Tyrese shook his head to her apology. He didn't want anyone to be sorry for him, it never added much comfort to his peace of mind. ”I’m sorry too, but, thanks. I just think it’ll take more than only me.” With a sigh, he would explain his point for bringing up the blonde’s death at all. He was okay, and maybe his experience with the death of a parent would mean Sela could be okay too. The point was, neither of them were doing this solo. Smiling faintly at her thanks, Tyrese let her explain why she was here. ”If that’s what you want to try, Rylee, I’ll be happy to have you back on board. We’ll take it in stride if it does get overwhelming, but I think you’ll be fine.” Alexus wouldn’t come onto the property if he knew what was good for him, and Tyrese thought he did. Besides, the owner couldn’t spare many more days for the tealette even if he wanted to be generous in that way. ”When are you hoping to jump back in?”

Ryan Martinez Torrez

He truly had wanted to stay the night last night but his thoughts fought against his feelings. Usually Ryan was the type to go on gut feelings but his gut told him that he and Skye needed at least a day to sort things through within themselves. If not her than at least for himself since he was still trying to piece together his past here, due to his recent memory loss.

Having already paid for a five night stay at the hotel, it also didn't make sense to Ryan to waste a night at the luxurious hotel that he's already paid for. Fancy food and amazing views; Even if it was just the darkened storm. Christ, if it weren't for him involved in his own mystery he would have tried to invite Skye over to share the room with him. Yet, life was not so easy. It wasn't as though he knew there would be another moment to soon see Skye so Ryan at least mentioned the fact that he would be staying here at the Amour de la Mer to Skye during conversation.

Just to be safe, Ryan asked the young lady at the front desk if she could tell any visitors that he will be out until later in the evening so that if Skye did pass by asking for him she'd get the message; A message that "Leon Kennedy", as per written on his false ID (and the name he told Skye he'd be using), would be out until night. Ryan slightly felt like a bother for asking a request of the staff like that but hopeful his expenditure at such an establishment would qualify him enough for slight better treatment.

One of five nights spent at Amour de la Mer, and four left to go. Ryan did plan on getting a job and his own place soon but today he wanted to take a moment to himself and see if maybe something around here could jog his memory.

                                            [Enter]

The crunch of dispersed sand as he climbed fully out of his uber was what drove away the final dark claws of Alex's thoughts that chilly morning, citrine orbs lifting off the thick briefcase he had been turning round about repeatedly in his hands. Tipping an invisible hat to his driver, the casual reaper shut his door and crossed the street onto La Mer's property, one hand taking the duty of carrying his briefcase while the other twirled a cigarette from behind his ear and stuck it between his lips. The aluminum cased lighter he'd kept, this particular one being the same that lit the first cancer stick he'd ever smoked, continued the cycle with another burst of flame to get the material burning. Taking a delayed huff, Alexus seemed in no rush, but his shoe tapped the ground, occasionally scuffing to clear any sand from under his sole. This had been months in the making and all he could muster now was exhaustion, that, and something that felt, today, like calm resolve. Though still, he was reluctant.

It was obvious, nevertheless, that he wasn't getting anywhere like this.

So he put out his cigarette and padded his way across the asphalt, weaving past cars until the sliding glass doors were in clear, unobstructed view. His first instinct was to stall there, but he plowed through, engulfed in nothing but the quiet whisper of glass shifting over metal. Alexus wiped his shoes on the welcome mat waiting on the other side, letting his gaze rove and study any face in the immediate area. Though, ultimately, his orbs landed on a sweet looking blonde at the reception desk, a young face that held the look of a woman never ravished in bed. He knew her by proxy, though- this wasn't his first time here afterall. He had seen her on multiple occasions while prostrating himself and getting put out each time he tried to find where Rylee was. By now, he had her name down pat. "Good morning, Sarah. Your face makes the sky a little sunnier today, you know that?" He'd hum with an amused purr to accompany a soft smile.

"Also, don't call your boss on me. I come in peace."

Tyrese had plainly said he wasn't allowed here anymore, and his word was not something Alex had learned to cross without consequence- at risk of blatant assault; so to avoid having the blonde call him in was preferable. The wolf was most likely here; after all, this was his baby. That said, he still wondered where his wife was holding herself up, whether she had moved into her own place under the cover of night or if she was still staying here. He wouldn't make anyone weary by asking, he'd stopped sitting around outside for a chance to see her nearly a month ago. "I just have something I want you to deliver for me, if that's not too much trouble. Whenever Rylee comes in." The author would add, in the case Sarah hadn't reached for her pager, radio, phone- whatever. Laying his briefcase flat out on the counter, her'd flip the pin and open it up for the solid manilla folder neatly seated top most of anything else inside.

"If she tries to refuse it, just tell her it's that thing she's been wanting back."

Not that such a duty was the blonde's, but Alex had no other way of giving it to his soon to be ex-wife. Whether his messages and calls were being screened or she'd changed her number, the tealette made it obvious he was not welcome to communicate. Neither could he see her, as so said by how she avoided him and made necessary visits short. He understood. The ravenette removed the envelope and dragged his briefcase off the counter, flipping the package to stare at for moments longer, simply staring at his end- their end. He was debating to write a letter to her, for his closure more than hers. Even if she didn't read it, it would be in his mind as if he'd done his due diligence to what was left of this marriage, until the paperwork was processed-- He was sure she'd pay to have it pushed through faster than the six month expectancy period. Alexus cleared his throat, "May I borrow a pen, Tulips? I'll be quick." He was going to write it out and this was going to be the end, as sore as he was at being unable to tell her with his own lips.

Thanking her for the pen, he used the front of the envelope for his canvass, clicking his jaw until he thought of a way to start.

Alexus topped the pen and handed it back to Sarah, taking a slow breath before removing the paperwork and flipping through it one last time. Signed and copied over to his lawyer, he'd be surprised if she hadn't already gotten the call telling her he'd given in after three weeks. Would she be very relieved? That was probably a silly question. "No one should see this but her, make sure of that, okay? Maybe I'll see you around, Tulips. Keep brightening that sky." Handing her the envelope, he winked her way and turned on his heel. He was out the door without another hiccup or even a look back, heading into town for whatever business was at the forefront of today.

This city was serene, it was quiet. Things were...tame here compared to other parts of California. Loki didn't know what he expected, not to see reality tv shows incarnate on the streets, but, well-- He didn't know. That night he was invited out with that Carmen girl and a bunch of others was something he'd hoped to repeat more often, people here didn't seem to amass to any specific location all that often. They were so to themselves; the kitsune felt as if this city was a lot bigger, exclusive, maybe, than the initial first impression. Ahn, it could be that he wasn't getting out enough. Bree's bar was the only place he found himself going to repeatedly, even on days off, and her place in particular was far laid back in comparison to Neon's or the Deck. It felt unlike him, yet at the same time so much easier to fly it solo these last few weeks. Today, even, he'd gone it alone. Floating out to sea on a surfboard. Lying on his stomach and using orbs of light to tease the fish. And when that got too cold, he'd done yoga over in the sand. This was...everyday life.

Yes, he was simply unwilling to match the pace this city would have him slow to, despite the clarion call that led him here to begin with. He was too young to be mused with normality. With a swift change into warm clothes, the youthful bachelor decided he would go seek what he was craving, find a comfort in lostness and hope it opened the doors to a new experience like it always had. He knew of a quaint little place off the beachfront, one that did not much match the climate of the rest of the city. It was a homely place without being too misplaced or simple. Loki got the feeling it was capturing a piece of time. Or perhaps it only provoked a feeling as if it did. He'd had little reason to visit since he lived so close to the beach himself, but it was the closest place to serve edibles aside from the smoothie palace. With the nearness to the sand parents could overlook their children playing in, he could not shame the place for being this way. He went around to the front not expecting much, hands tucked in his pockets as he meandered through the double doors to look around.

"Good morning!" Greeted the canine breed, quickly spotting out a figure seated to greet anyone entering. More than greet, probably. This was a bed and breakfast, so-- Loki hadn't wandered close enough to confirm whether the person was male or female, but he'd guess by the hair length and voice. She. She likely checked people in and out. "This is not where I would typically wonder, but it looks acccce~" Speaking absently, Loki circled the lobby, tail twitching as he passed the cafe doors- open and lightly abuzz with other beach goers and vacationers. "Can anyone eat here or only people who have bought a room?" By now he had come to the front desk, enough to get an elbow up on it and lean to, bringing himself about face level with the girl he had begun to bother for the time being. It was better to be closer, it felt easier not to lose her face that way, though he remained having trouble piecing all the features together. And being closer, she seemed familiar. "I know you, don't I?"

Slowly Sarah placed the white book with faint blue tree-like prints down on the desk, casually eyeing the new presence now walking in through the front doors of La Mer. This wasn't the first time she had seen him and although Mr. Havens seemed to have a bit of an aggressive temper towards him, she somewhat enjoyed the man's presence; even if it didn't last for very long. When it came down to it, she supposed, he reminded her a lot of Leon. That same sort of cocky arrogance that was remained only slightly withdrawn to the people around him. A warm pink smile graced her face as she kept her thumb as a placeholder. Her boss had informed her to stay wary of the man, to alert him if she ever caught him on the premises again - he had been banned at this point, though she wasn't sure why -, but his commentary toward her had earned him a soft spot. She balanced the literature over the edge of her desk and considered the distance of her phone and computer. It would be more considerate to call him but it would be faster to type a message to let him know. Her grey irises fell over his crimson blazer. She almost chuckled at his comment, her smile only growing a bit wider to compliment her cheery gaze. Did he think so? Yet her eyes never wavered.

Her fingers rested tentatively on the quick dial number to call Tyrese, but as he unlatched the case he brought with him in front of her, her wrist pulled away from the plastic digits. She tilted her head, sending her blonde wave-like curls over her knitted eggshell cardigan. He seemed reluctant to hand over whatever it was; roving over the package as if he might take it back, turn on his heel, and walk out the door to take back his appearance today. "Of course." She reached over to the black cup sized basket beside the corner of her desktop, plucking a pen and holding it over the counter. She was curious, but not intrusive - though she couldn't help but wonder. The wind outside was hardly heard, but it had been a coolish walk to the building this morning. And as she waited patiently for Mr. Daniels her mind began to wander on how she might take up her off-day tomorrow; assuming she didn't go ahead and volunteer herself for more work. Sundays were a majority check-out day, families and tourists wanting to make it back to their hometown before the next work day. His hand continuously scrawled and scrawled and finally, with a shuffle through each page, she was handed the somewhat heavy manila envelope. She could only nod, a saddened expression in her partially furrowed brows. "I only hope." Was he not going to return to the establishment again? Was he moving, perhaps? Or... She ceased, unable to stop a smile at the wink. "I will!"

                                                  -----

It was some time since the blond had stepped away from her desk to hand over the acquired package to Mr. Havens. He was careful yet understanding of what they contained; with a layer of confusion and disappointment in the single expression when he eyed it. Since then, she had returned to her regular duties of being a receptionist. The occasional phone call, the regular check-in's and check-out's, the greetings, goodbyes, but most of the time she found herself indulged in her reading; most work was done in a timely manner from the moment she arrived. She was a diligent and friendly worker and she liked to think Mr. Havens was fond of that - not to mention her passion for publication and other fine arts. He seemed to enjoy her opinion on a majority of things and she enjoyed his and Ms. Aubrey's company. She closed her book with another smile and inhaled slowly, placing it down in front of her adjacent to her keyboard. Perhaps she'd ask if she could spend her lunch break in his office, or request for him to hold a conversation with her up at her own desk. But as she contemplated the latter, a familiar set of fox ears, paired with a dark, bushy tail. If the coloring hadn't been so stunningly contrasted, she might have thought Crevan were walking through the doors; but instead she found herself staring at the bartender of the bar she frequented on a weekly basis.

There had never been a conversation between them, and although she itched to ask about his species, his existence, where he had come from- She retained it all and only watched him from 'afar'; polishing glasses, restocking liquids, refilling garnishes as she listened to Ms. Aubrey relay whatever information the light user asked of her to tell. "Good morning!" She coo'd in return. It was hard to not see him in his butler-esque work dress. She did too. "If you have the money to pay for it, I don't see why Mr. Havens would think otherwise." Her smile was, again, bright as she caught herself watching the tips of his ears. She smoothed her hands over her desk and tilted her head with a curious glance. "I don't think we've ever met formally, Mr. Loki." Surely she had mentioned her name in the past before hadn't she? Or perhaps if she didn't, then wouldn't he have heard Ms. Aubrey mention something as she strolled in? She pursed her lips. "Sarah. Fitz." Her pale hand extended over the counter to him. "I come in to the bar every week to see Ms. Aubrey." Accompanied with some sort of juice, usually. "You're usually bartending when I come in, though."

His tail bounced between two spaces of air while attached to his lower back, a happy chirrup flowing off his lips with the same rhythm. Ah yes, she would entertain his high energy with her own vigor. He grinned briefly, one ear standing slightly more erect than it's twin as he listened to her next words. "Oh good! Cool!" His arms crossed over the smoothed wooden desk, trading scents with whatever had clung to the surface in recent hours. "Wink at me if you give this place a five star rating on food." Though he did double check his pockets to be sure he fully emptied out his beach locker for his wallet, another hum of amusement resonating on his tongue. "I'm excited, though it sucks to eat alone." Loki cushioned his chin between his thumb and pointer, wondering what was even on the menu. No way but to see, even if it waited a few minutes more while he got what social interaction he could out of the blonde. The foxed liked being around people.

Her use of his name stunted his voice box, brows jutting upwards as his ears laid out flat. He's met her before, but not often enough to have made her appearance clear to himself somehow. Well, he only ever strayed between a few places, the kitsune knew where to search his memories for the answer. A bar patron he'd flirted up at some point? It was mostly likely. Her name clicked almost immediately as his lips formed a round 'o,' hand jutting forward to grasp hers and shake it, pulling in closer to kiss the back of her fingers. "I apologize, I'm the worst person you're ever gonna meet when it comes to faces. Hello, Sarah!" This wasn't at all her fault, but indeed, he did know of her in a mindless kind of way. No matter how laid back his employer was, he tried to keep busy when she was around, or even if not too much to pay attention, he wasn't one to eavesdrop. He'd try to listen to the tv or the radio as they talked, making himself unfamiliar with her being overall. "It's great to meet you personally! Are you going to lunch soon? You come around so often it wouldn't be right of me not to know you more!"

Her chair rolled forward, her hips gingerly lifting in the slightest from their placement, but she only smiled warmly up at him. With her free hand she rearranged her cardigan back over her shoulder and glanced over at the clock in the corner of her desktop screen. "I usually take my lunch here at my desk, but I don't see why I couldn't accompany you." Her smile widened, withdrawing her hand and smoothing her palms over the same book she set down not long ago. She swiveled her chair to the side on her ankle, her nimble fingers quick to type to Mr. Havens chat bubble. I'm going to lunch! And with that she pushed back from her chair and rounded her desk rather quickly, toddling over beside Loki with one long gaze at his tails. Her eyes slowly flitted up to his ears and finally fell on his face, tipping up onto her toes and back down again. He was taller than her - substantially so. He felt almost a full foot taller with his ears. She took a moment to scan over him before offering a cheery, "Ready!"

She clasped her hands together and made her way to the terrace, staying by his side but somewhat leading the way if he couldn't figure out which doorway to enter through. The breeze was cool but a relief from the heat from these past few weeks. It was nothing she wasn't used to by now - having lived here several months, but it was still hotter than the Virginia weather she came from. She glanced over her shoulder again tentatively, eager to release the questions prodding her thought process. "You're not human, Loki." She started matter-of-factly. Her finger came to rest on her pastel lips, a habit back from being a young teen, as she looked for a table. And as she found one near the quieter and slightly shadier side of the terrace, she pulled back a chair, gesturing for him to take a seat. It was still her work place, even if she was on break. "Then what are you?" Her grey eyes twinkled with interest. The nearby crashing of the waves was a relaxing white noise. It was cooler than she thought. She tugged her cardigan a little tighter.

Naturally, the kitsune snickered joyously when Sarah winked at him, though he expected her answer to be biased. No one would see if she hadn't winked~ Loki doubted the food was bad, regardless; but he wasn't a picky eater, either. "Does it bother you?" He asked, concerning the kiss he'd laid on her hand. Some women were about that stuff, some snatched their hands back with an incredulous look on their faces, like he was trying to slurp their fingers off. You win some, you lose some, but the important thing was respecting the win or loss. That said, if Sarah's shift in her seat was due to discomfort, he would leave her be. The man made the innocent comment about eating alone, which truthfully was not to his preference, and flicked his ear as she turned to her computer screen. "Oh, so I'm in luck?' There had been doubt he could hope for as much with someone he only knew of, though of course he did say they should get around to that. They were in the same social circle! "You're so kind, putting up with a pesky lil' fox like me." And cocking his head, he'd watch her type, adjusting his hat on toned brunette hair.

Backing away from the desk when Sarah stood to exit, Loki began pulling his hoodie strings to each side, listening to the zip of fabric as he grinned at the blonde with gleaming canines. "I'll follow you?" Except she was staring him down from bushy, shaky tail, to tall, erect ears. "Byy theee waaay, you don’t have to call me Mr. Just Loki makes me happier." Chirped the hipster, though by all means, he wasn’t looking his fancy self like he did in the bar. On days like this, he looked way more like the hopeless playboy with few life skills to depend on. That was his thought while in such baggy clothing, anyway. Still to the Terrance they wandered, his temptation to bounce over to the children and play overruled by the sway of the pretty blonde. "You’re right, I’m not~" Loki nodded twice over, eyeing the chair she pulled out in some backwards jest of good manners. He sat, using his foot to push hers back from beneath the table himself. "I’m some kind of fox, not sure which. Don’t think I use to serve Inari. I’m a regular rascal, I guess. " Did that explain the staring? "What about you? What’s your story."

The plane ride over was pretty intense. Sitting in a cramped area for that long of a time was Hell on him, and just the sheer fact that it's over was the best thing ever. In truth, Kyosuke was still a bit weary of Soleil, since he wondered how it would help him before coming home. In truth, the first night was just him thinking he was at his own home. The city is great though, and it was basically like his town at home... Just with more parking spots. Looking into his phone, he would scroll through and look at the blind date he had unknowingly signed himself into. This wasn't the first time Kyo had done something like this. Audrey... wonder who that could be. Kyo wondered to himself.
