"That sounds like a possibility," Optimist said, nodding towards Wild Sage. "But how would we gain information from it, other than, well, who predators aren't killing?" She figured they knew enough of that information: it was all the kin who were alive at night. "I just don't think it makes sense with Kiss' claims." She inclined her head at Bitter End. "I suppose the only thing we really need for Merry Wanderer to draw a conclusion is a plurality." She personally wasn't so sure that Wintershadow was guilty - but there was reason enough in Bitter End's vote that the doe didn't look guilty, either. "But you're right that talking isn't strictly necessary to reach a conclusion each day." It was only that if they didn't talk, someone would be marked for death without any sort of reason instead. "I only think it's more helpful." She nodded at Peep, who it seemed was bringing up what Optimist kept forgetting today. "I can't imagine a scenario where Kiss of Death's supposed abilities mean the predators would risk that she stays alive when they can control a kill, and I still think Kiss of Death chooses her words too carefully." Why pressure Optimist and Neither Nor, but not Story? Kiss was definitely working toward an agenda of some sort. "I'll wait before voting, though," Optimist concluded - although it was tempting to vote for the doe anyway.

"We wouldn't gain any information from it at all, as far as I can guess," Sage replied. "It'd be more of a utility role than an information-gathering one. And, actually, did she actually claim to have any information? Other than her supposed role, I mean," he asked pointedly. "I know you keep saying she did, but I'm pretty sure she said she wanted information - from As The Sun Burns, who she suspected was a wolf. Not that she had any."

"Maybe I misinterpreted what she said about using her ability to flush out predators," Optimist replied. "I can't figure out how it'd do that, is all I meant." She shrugged. "And she didn't seem to suspect him very much at all - on the day before that she changed her vote from As the Sun Burns to Fire Made Flesh, the very same kin he voted for, while asking for more information in the same breath."

Sage shrugged. "Either she misspoke, or she assumed that saving the lives of prey players would frustrate the wolves and make them behave more erratically - not an unreasonable assumption. And she explained changing her vote as wanting to hear more of what As The Sun Burns had to say, didn't she? I think that's a pretty reasonable explanation."

"She may have misspoken," Optimist conceded. "And she may think that, as well. But she may have also misspoken as predator, and I think having information is also a reasonable enough explanation of what she said. In truth we can't tell what she meant until she herself explains it. And as to the second part, perhaps that's the case," Optimist said, shrugging. "But you also just said she thought he was a predator. I should think that towards the end of the day, if she truly thought him a predator, she'd rather see him dead. It would be a reasonable explanation if she hadn't voted for him without waiting for him to speak just the next day, too." She paused, then inclined her head at Sage. "I think the sum of it is that I just can't reconcile all of these behaviors into someone whose primary goal is ensuring that the prey win."

"Fair enough," Sage conceded with a nod of his own. "I definitely still suspect her, too, I just wanted to make sure we had all our facts straight. Still, I'll withhold my vote until we hear what she has to say in her defense this round."
He turned his gaze upon the rest of the assembled players, and wondered about the predators hidden among them. It was up to them to choose which way their suspicions lay.

"That is entirely your decision to make," Optimist nodded. "But having our facts straight is important, so I can't fault you for that!"

"You spent an awful lot of time thinking of that nickname when you thought of the others so quickly," Nightingale said thoughtfully to Lost Apathy, then shrugged. "I, however, will vote for Optimist for the reasons I have already mentioned. I have no inclination to debate further with the doe herself...for those very reasons." ((and also because, job. lol))

Wild Cry watched it all. "It is everyone voting in the day round that makes the biggesg difference." He looked around at those that were the most vocal. "I cannot conclude who is a wolf or not... But I can figure that they are killing off the quiet ones for two reasons: one, they are dispensible. The game continues without them. If they killed off the vocal ones, then the game would get very boring very fast. And two, it would be a waste or a kill to go for a loud one since we are killing some of the most vocal off on our own."
Even though he was one of the quiet ones, Wild Cry smiled. "I don't think the wolves have been quiet. If they were, then they wouldn't be going after them since that would have been their security-in-numbers."
The buck looked around. He was terrible with names in this still larger group (really, stories don't usually have an abundance of characters that need their names remembered). "So my thought is for those that have been very vocal and moderately vocal. And maybe those who seem to keep the mob off topic." He looked to Apathy, really what did nicknames have to do with the game?

Flesh was doing a pisspoor job of being active within this game. He had barely shared his thoughts with any of the others, and was not actively participating in any of the discussions on trying to weed out the predators within the group. That was the point of the game- was it not? The dragon growled, mostly in distaste with himself for being so quiet. Biding his time until it was appropriate to speak, the aged buck gave willing ears to Optimist and Sage as they went back and forth but then found himself most interested by what the relatively quiet-until-now buck had to say about just that- the wolves at night killing of the more quiet of the group. He had a point. The wolves at night could kill off the "weaker" of the group by singling those who had spoken and participated less. It was certainly less disruptive to the flow of the game rather than taking out someone who had made themselves to be one of the headliners. Flesh eyed a few in particular who had quickly stepped out into the limelight and had had heavily guiding hands in all their daytime discussions. "He has a point," came the words on gravel and coal, quietly smoldering as the rusty gears began to groan to life upstairs. "The wolves have had easy pickings at night- why ruin the fun of the game by taking out someone who was advocating so vociferously during the day? That would make the game dull," Flesh paused to roll his thoughts around before letting them tumble out upon voice. "I think the wolves have strategically placed themselves in these positions of "power"," again Flesh looked directly at a few specific kin- Optimist, Apathy, Kiss of Death namely though his eyes did happen upon a peculiar looking Acha and did indeed linger for a longer moment but with remarkably less suspicion than the three kimeti does. "It just seems as thought the wolves would want to guide the game and control the daytime elimination so that their added nighttime opportunities would combined be more beneficial and lead to their victory in a much more expedited time frame." Even if Flesh was wrong in sympathizing with Wild Cry's point of view, it was getting to the point in the game that their number were dwindling and the chances of one of those three does being a predator was increasing.

"Actually, in the past game," she went on interrupting whoever was still talking, "they had something like this too. Same with predators trying to confuse the rest in trying to vote out prey during the day and not kill them at night so the rest can remain suspicious of the one in question. I'm not sure how Merry Wanderer tweaked the game, I just know I'm not telling lies some have accused me of doing so." "Doubleback, you were one of the kin i saved one night to remain in the game, along with Eyes of the Night and Peep," she went on. "But I can't save the same kin over and over, my ability is not that elite. I had to go with who I think was innocent. That was tough since there were barely any information to go off of. Me trying to keep one kin from dying does not stop the wolves from being able to attack the other remaining 10+ players." She rather wished she could read minds, that way she can tell which kin are lying right now to get others to vote against her. She stood firm in what she knows and tries to convey it to the remaining prey as much as she could. "I still hold onto my own beliefs that whomever is voting for me are predators. I also believe they are not murdering me at night and try to rid of me during the day is so that the prey will come to a conclusion that I am still a predator after I've been voted out in daylight -- since I am still not being killed at night while everyone is asleep. WIth me dying at night, it will show the prey that I was telling the truth all along since I do have an ability you guys don't possess." Ugh this is turning into a debate war, I hate stuff like this. I rather be out scavening for bones with my Ramcat and go see Pestilence again."If I were a predator, I would save no kin and go to sleep at nightfall, so i can get killed too, and get this game over with." hybridic (( Sorry Harper! :/ didn't mean to be such a butt player. she's not an angry doe at all. i'm sticking to take time out for myself to keep this game fun. like right now >.> ))

Wild Cry grinned bigger. "my point exactly... The predators have to participate in order to convince the masses they are not a threat."
The buck stood and shook himself off (both physically and figuratively). He figured he should start speaking up. It was a miracle the wolves hadn't killed him yet for being a weak player thus far.

[ GAH I MISSED A ROUND suglhgr the past few days have been extremely busy I apologize] Wintershadow heard Bitter End's vote, but ignored it -- there was no real reason behind it; some of those who hadn't spoken up in rounds had lived, and some who spoke quite a lot had died for their efforts. He nodded at Bitter End, and then tilted his head. "While I accept your vote, as I have not been speaking overly much," he started, slowly, "I do think that it's unfounded. I think there are much bigger choices at stake here -- like why the so-called 'healer' was left alive after a night round when she could easily turn the tide of the game in favor of the prey? If a wolf was smart, they'd have outed her immediately." He turned towards Kiss of Death, "I'm sorry, but innocent or not, one does not throw those words out without making themselves a huge target. Whether you are or aren't a predator remains to be seen, but by my logic, you wouldn't have been left alive if you are in truth what you claim. The predators have been acting aggressively this entire time."

She just laughed at Wintershadow. "That's exactly why they left me alive. They do it so that by removing me at day will leave no trace of evidence that I am a prey. Plus, they never knew I could heal until I exposed myself. Killing me at night is easy. They won't go down that route. They want you all to think I'm a predator. Which I have repeated so many times that I'm not. No one wants to reveal information so I might as well reveal what I am. This game is taking too long to end." She looked around the remaining players. "I hope you all are piecing information together. I'm not going to be part of this game for long. "

Swamp Trees watched as the doe gave a goodbye speech in a way. So two passed during the night round, which was sad. It does happened though, and as much as she doesn't like it, she pushed through to see what was going to happen with today's voting. Glancing at the doe, Kiss of Death if she remembered right, Swamp Trees had a confused look. Something didn't seem right, but she didn't know. The joys of not paying attention so it wasn't helping her decide on who was a wolf. Shaking her head, she kept waiting to see more.
